These things are AWESOME!! 500lb working load 1500 capacity. I use it for my trailer chains, helmet lock, and I put them at the end of tie downs that have the stupid "S" hooks. Once you start using them, you will find lots of uses!!!

CONVENIENT IF IT HAS A CHAIN OR WIRE ROPE ATTACHED TO IT. IT IS A PRETTY LARGE SHACKLE TO JUST HANG IN A PADLOCK HOLE. NOT GREAT FOR LONG TERM HIGH SECURITY OUT-OF-SIGHT USES.
