    Perfect fit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After much research we decided on this microwave. We love it! The SS matches our current appliances and it’s just the right size for our larger plates and bowls without taking up too much counter top. Love the convection option- used this option once so far for chicken wings reheat and came our crispy. I liked that I didn’t need to heat up my gas oven! Interior is also SS and easy to wipe up.

KitchenAid 1.5 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave in Stainless Steel, Silver
Great appliance. Cooks well - but there is a learning curve if you have never had a combo oven. The one major concern was the fact that in convection bake mode, the back & sides of the unit get VERY hot! We have it in a corner so that at least provides an open area in the back for air cirulation. We had to move/relocate items away from the unit & made sure its wire was not compromised by the heat. The 1st oven delivered had a very loud buzzing/vibration. The following week they delivered the 2nd one. Looks great, works great without any buzzing/vibrations. The button seems a little sketchy & does not operate very smoothly. We'll see about that; at least we bought the extended warranty! Otherwise, we love it!

      Good Microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave due to the dimensions, which saved me from having to buy another trim kit. It is identical to my last one except for the nameplate. I like the convection feature for baking small cakes and breads without the need for using our main oven. My only concern is the magnetron makes an unpleasant noise at startup. (which eventually subsides) Very similar to the noise my previous unit made just before it failed. Time will tell. Otherwise it's a good microwave with nice features.

Microwave cannot be built-in- dysfunctional design
If you are looking for a convection microwave that has a trim kit that will give a built into the cabinet design to your kitchen, this is not it. I purchased the 27" trim kit (MKC2157AS) for my new Kitchenaid Convection Microwave (KMCC5015GSS) but because the trim face plate has no vent holes on the front of it, all the heat generated when using the convection oven is pushed out through the openings along the edge of the trim face plate. My drawer fronts butt up to the sides and bottom of the trim face plate edge so the heat is all being directed onto the adjacent drawer fronts and cabinets. This amount of heat will cause damage to my custom cabinetry. The only way to use the convection function now is to open up all the drawers and doors so it doesn't heat up the adjacent cabinets. Poorly designed trim kit. What is the point of a trim kit if it doesn't vent out in a direction away from your cabinets?!?? As a consumer, you are better off not even installing the trim kit if you don't want your cabinets damaged (even though KA recommends the trim kit if you want to install into a cabinet). So if you want a "built-in" look, choose a different convection microwave (GE designed theirs with venting on the front - why couldn't Kitchenaid?) (see photos).

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am happy to have purchased this item as it matches beautifully with the wall oven mounted below it.

            Like a Second Oven
This microwave saved our home dining life during our kitchen remodel. I could cook most everything in it and used it every day for 2 months. I used every setting and it worked exactly how it should, maybe taking a little longer than an oven as it takes time to heat up. Now it is installed in my new kitchen and I still use it everyday. Of note, be sure to include the feet height in your measurements for your cabinet cubby. Ours was a bit tight fit. My favorite option is the dinner plate option as it uses sensor cooking to heat up anything to a perfect temp. Convection roast makes items a lovely crispy. And the fresh/frozen vegetable options are very convenient. My only wish is that it had a melt or soften option for items like butter/ ice cream but I can adjust power level and cook time well enough. I am happy to have this item and it brings comfort to have it as a stand by for large gatherings where I may need more oven space.

                Love My Kitchenaid
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this microwave to match the rest of my kitchenaid appliances when remodeling my kitchen two years ago. I love kitchenaid products. Its a good microwave with a lot of cooking space inside. Though at times I find the temperature is a bit inconsistent when heating up side dishes. But not a big deal I just add more time. It also came with a convection function, I personally am not a big fan of convections so I have not tried/used that function. I also wanted a microwave that I could put a picture frame around to make it look like a built in one piece with my oven. This model had the picture frame for it (sold separately). Making it easier if ever either appliance needs replacing. All in all it does its job and I’m happy with my microwave.

                  Decent microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace a 2009 Jenn Air microwave that was paired with a wall oven so the space was predefined. This one fit the size requirements and the trim kit matched the existing stainless steel color. It also had a convection oven option so it gave us two standard ovens instead of one. The trim kit was the same size top and bottom so I had to trim the bottom to fit our needs. We haven't tried the convection oven yet. Cons are it is a little noisy when rotating (sounds like the lugs on a bulldozer going around, but much quieter) and it is only 1000 watts so we have to change the time to cook common things (popcorn used to be 2:45 minutes, now 4:00 minutes) the upside is the popcorn never scorches now like it used to on occasion. Pros are the color match is good, it looks good and it works well as a microwave. We are satisfied overall.

Touch Panel is peeling on Kitchen Aid Microwave
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought Dec 2019 and installed Jan 2020 the Kitchen Aid Microwave KMCC5015GBS. Only live at this house for 3-4 days/week since Oct 2020. Touch panel is bubbling at the Start touch area. Not sure why it is peeling/bubbling.

                      Everything I could ask for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this microwave for a few months and I absolutely love it. I was looking for a microwave with a stainless steel interior as I have had problems with paint chipping off on my previous non-KitchenAid microwave. I also like that is has a convection feature on it since my main oven does not. So it is two appliances in one. It came in very handy over the holidays. I also like that it has shortcut buttons on it so you can hit one button and it will sensor time the food and it comes out perfectly. It is a real work saver and easy to clean with the stainless steel interior. It is my go to appliance. The only thing I can pick on is it is a little louder than my last microwave, but it is tolerable.

Easy to use and small, sleek looking
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We’ve had this for a couple weeks and so far it’s been very easy to use. We bought the trim kit and had it installed into the cabinets and love the look. Only thing we find is the screen is easily scratched. Otherwise, 5 stars

                          Control Panel Scratched
My brand new microwave's control panel is already scratched. I used a microfiber cloth and a kitchen degreaser (totally non-abrasive) to remove a very aggressive sticker. The control panel appears to be a cheap plastic material. Not happy - every time I look at my new appliance it's the first thing I notice. I will complete my review after a little more use.

Convection / Microwave is very quiet using microwave. The install required a modification to the cabinet due to depth vs old Kichenaid with the same measurements . The cabinet installation kit has a plastic trim panel that looks cheap. I reused the aluminum from the old unit and looks great. Be aware the install kit has an air box on rear to direct warm air to front. Convection preheats quick and bakes perfectly with preset temp setting option.

Happy with Kitchen Aid Microwave/convection oven
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is the first Kitchen Aid product we have purchased. So far, we are very happy with the performance. The inside cavity is the same size as the one we had to replace, but the outside dimensions are quite a bit smaller...and that's good. Our unit gets used multiple times every day...mostly as a convection oven...a whole lot quicker than having to heat up our big oven and a whole lot less energy consumed.

                                  Push Button Broken
The door opening push button broke in half within a couple of years after purchasing this item. I called to order this part as it seems simple to replace, however they do not make or sell separate parts for this model. So I'm stuck with using this microwave with a broken button unless I purchase another one that's worth $500. Does not make any sense. Not worth buying!

                                    Cheaply Made Operation Panel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a new house with new appliances, happily saw the kitchenaid is all made in the U.S.A. but after less than 3 months, the panel started peeling and indenting on the start button. It's not like I'm using a sledge hammer to hit the start button, just my finger. Horrible quality control there, sadly will probably not buy kitcheaid replacements once these die.

                                      Dual purpose
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this 4 months ago which was triggered by the same brand oven that we absolutely love, we wanted to match it up in the built in cupboard and the microwave is very powerful and we are adapting to the oven like feature that it has, we had a dinner party after we had everything installed, relatives brought dishes that needed to be kept in an oven, we were using our oven and then I realized that this microwave was an oven too! Shazam, love it love it

                                        Questionable Workmanship
We bought this convection oven just over one year ago. It was purchased from a big box store and shipped directly to the house. Upon placing it on the counter, I noticed the door wasn't perfectly aligned. Several months later, I noticed a dent in the back top corner, nothing that would have an effect on overall use. Recently, the right side wall has started vibrating when the microwave is in use. The vibration and overall noise is becoming very annoying. I'm now questioning if I should have returned the unit when I first noticed the unappealing appearance of the door -- or even the dent in the back. Now that the warranty is over, we are stuck with this product. Not a happy customer and will question purchasing a KitchenAid product in the future. :-(

I love that I can use it as a small oven for cooking small batches of cookies, pizza, etc., and use it as a warming oven instead of using my big oven. I can use convection or regular baking or as a regular microwave oven.

Dependable but in need of better options
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love a convention microwave and when I was unable to find a replacement for my Panasonic, we chose the only other option the Kitchenaid. It is reliable for what we need, but the metal rack is too small and cannot sit on the bottom with out the glass tray as it falls into the grooves. Fortunately I kept my old Panasonic rack which enables me to bake a slightly larger baking dish/pan that requires less clearance and not rotate. I also have a beef that you can’t defrost for less than 3:54 on the minimum selection. The front glass also discoloured on the bottom right corner which is fortunately replaced under warranty within a week of it expiring. This shouldn’t happen.

This is a very sturdy and so far is easy to clean. There is stainless steel inside which is a big improvement over the plastic one we had. Loud beeps, and so far we have found the microwave part to work nicely. We have not tried he convection oven just yet. The only annoying thing is the Cooking Guide Label sticker that is supposed to attach to the oven so you can refer to it when you open the door. I have written to KA but no one has answered my inquiry. There are two labels included. One is in French and the other is supposed to be in English. The English label has only the Food Headings in English. The rest of the label looks just like the French language one. So for the French food heading of "Boisson", this is changed to "Beverage" in English but everything else under Beverage is still in French: so you have 1 tasse (250 ML) 2 tasses etc. It would be nice to get a new English label that has been corrected.
