There was a significant amount hard plastic goo at eye level on the door and a noticeable scratch on the same door. Additionally, there was a lot of soft insulation sticking out at several corners. It's a premium priced fridge. Quality control should have caught the issues. The design of the fridge is nice but having to get it replaced shouldn't have been needed as anyone inspecting it would have known it shouldn't have been delivered. Failure in quality control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my fridge in February and absolutely LOVE IT! I’m addicted to Kitchen Aid appliances. Over the years I’ve had two. For me it’s all the FEATURES, DESIGN and SPACE! It’s super important for organization! I’m a family of five and don’t like clutter, with how spacious the fridge is it allows you to keep everything neat and clean. I can’t forget the bright lighting on the inside and touch screen setting panel which is definitely a plus! You can’t go wrong with selecting a KITCHEN AID, it’s worth every cent!

Freezer door delivered with dents not observed immediately

Kitchen is finally ready and now that it's time to install my KitchenAid fridge, delivered mid January, I find out that not only the KitchenAid name plate on the door is beaten up, but both doors look as if my 4 year-old soon had glued them together. Every time I open this brand new fridge I have to see this white stuff/glue and incorrectly attached rubber seals on both doors. Home Depot won't help because I didn't report my problem 48hrs after delivery and KitchenAid didn't care about this.

I purchased this refrigerator to replace a previous model that lasted 10 years before it stopped keeping the temperature. I have a custom built space and this is the only brand that fits there. It looks great, keeps food cold. Cheap plastic drawers are a nightmare! Almost all of them are broken - wheels break off, plastic breaks. Replacement cost is ridiculous! $145 - 210 for a CHEAP, flimsy plastic drawer that most definitely will break again. So, I've used a LOT of hot glue to keep using them. There is a panel on the lower back of inside of fridge that has rusty water leaking into the bottom of fridge. underneath is a plastic container holding cold water and covered by a piece of styrofoam. Seems to be poor design. I expected a lot better from Kitchenaid.

Great looking fridge. Went with the counter depth and if fits nicely without looking overwhelming in the space. It works well so far!

I bought this in March of 2020 along with whole package deal microwave dishwasher electric range and so on microwave lasted 2 years and fridge was working good til 2023 then it all went down hill like most other complaints freezing up behind the bottom 2 drawers ice up the back happens quite frequently had few parts replaced and still does it. It’s junk shoulda got Lg or Bosch. Ruined hundreds of dollars of food because of this substandard product. Guess they just don’t make them like they use to. WPULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO BUY!!!! Would give 0 or negative stars if I could

I wanted to like this refrigerator. Not loving the craftsmanship. The drawers I find to be cheap and do not roll well, probably because it’s plastic sliding on top of plastic with no sort of wheel to assist smoothly. The shelf spacing is also stupid. Seems to To me, whoever is designing refrigerators these days has never actually used one.

fit the specs of my old GE café that I needed to replace. While I like the look of the refrigerator, I have to say the craftsmanship just is not there. The drawers are cheap and not smooth. This is probably due to the fact that there are no wheels or rolling mechanism it’s literally sliding plastic against plastic, I feel like they’re not even sitting on top of each other. All this is hard to see upon delivery when everything is taped up and Styrofoamed together.

Had to replace motherboard at 3 years. A very expensive repair. Icing of the ice compartment also an issue, but I could live with that. Motherboard problem has me skeptical about the quality of Kitchenaid generally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a counter depth refrigerator for my newly designed kitchen and this was the one for me. I have always relied on KitchenAid for my appliances, again, no disappointment!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Fridge works fine, it keeps food cold. It is easy to keep clean. The one thing I dislike are the drawers for fresh produce as they are poorly constructed and are difficult to open and close.

A. Functionality issues: -water trickles out of the dispenser -water comes out warm -water doesn't come out at all sometimes -ice maker is so loud you can't even use it at nighttime as it will wake people up (I'm not being funny or exaggerating) -control panel is comprised of severely dated technology. I had to push the dispenser button 9 times yesterday before water actually came out. It's usually only 2 or 3 times. B. Cosmetic issues: -ugly yellow foam stuffed into every single nook and cranny on the entire fridge -ugly protective taping also crammed into every single nook and cranny of the fridge -the plastic on all four corners of the fridge door are damaged It appears by reading even many of the good reviews, that nearly every single fridge sold has to be fixed. Many times right out of the box it's broken, such as mine and countless others as you will see reading through the allowed reviews. And no, I never received a sweepstakes entry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator looks beautiful and I had such high expectations given it is so expense and from a reputable manufacturer, but I wish I could find something else. Issues: 1) The drawers are a joke, you pull them out and they do not pull or close smoothly. Its like an old dresser drawer made out of wood with no rollers. You push it back in and it's crooked. Super cheap not smooth. 2) The water dispenser worked for 2 days, then just stopped after we received our brand new refrigerator. We had to call in an appliance expert and they had to replace the water filter dispenser? Apparently this happens all the time and according to them, the life expectancy on this is a couple years, so it is a guarantee that it will happen again 3) The Water & Ice levers that you push is super stiff and you have to really push or angle itr right just to make it work. 4) The water & ice levers are no labeled, so kids or anyone who does not know which is which always presses the water for ice of vice versa I hate that I spent upwards of 3k on this refrigerator and will NEVER buy this model / brand again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator is impressive in appearance. However, the shelves and drawers are nowhere near the quality expected in a Kitchenaid appliance. The drawers do not open and close smoothly or sit level on the track and the shelves have sharp edges that are capable of causing injuries. The refrigerator did not come with sufficient shelves or drawers to accommodate the available storage space. It was necessary to purchase additional drawers and bins. This rating is based on Kitchenaid products previously purchased.

For the cost of this refrigerator, which I’ve had about 6 weeks. I am extremely disappointed in the cheap quality of the interior. When opening the fruit and vegetable drawers the front pulled loose from the sides. Not durable construction at all. The best thing about this refrigerator is the print shield finish.

I have limited space and the counter depth design is perfect. I have followed recommendations about placement of milk and produce, and I have to say that my produce seems to stay longer than in my previous refrigerator. I’m not thrilled about the drawer design, but overall I love my purchase!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for my new home to match our appliance package from the builder. We love it. Due to it being counter depth it might be a bit small for a larger family, but it’s great for a couple, or small family. Plenty of room.

After 2 yrs, 3months, a service call revealed a $500 repair for a known issue that Kitchen Aid knows exists. I contacted Kitchen Aid to request one-time consideration for them to cover the cost of the repair based upon this known issue, which was denied. Given the acknowledged issue with this product, my request for one time consideration should have been supported. A consumer should be able to expect more than 2 yrs, 3 months of problem free mechanical functionality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] but a few things have tripped us up as they seem much more flimsy than we'd expected from KitchenAid. Little things (like the metal tray under the water dispenser rusting) but when even the teens notice and ask why we went to all the trouble of getting this one... Thankfully it cleans off easily and generally runs well (and I get to teach said teens about maintenance). I like that it's easy to rearrange for organization and is generally just a simple functional fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the refrigerator for it's specs - great compromise on the unit being small from an external dimension standpoint while still having a good deal of space internally. The only reason why I've given this a rating of 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the build quality. There are some places where the insulating material used (seems like some sort of expansion foam like material) is exposed and wasn't really cleaned up well, including a small spot on the edge of the door where it has tarnished the finish a tiny bit. The internal assembly around what seems to be the water chiller in the fridge portion also seems poorly assembled as it was making it difficult to get a drawer/shelf locked in place and it required some physical convincing to get it locked in. Again, seems like an issue of poor assembly as removal of an interior panel showed that there was a wire harness squashed between the insulating material and the panel, causing it to ever so slightly bulge out, preventing the shelf from locking in place.

I had this fridge serviced 6x already for the same issue. The evap coils keep freezing and making the fridge 65 degrees. Started 1 month after I received it. After doing a lot of research it seems this is a known issue for this fridge and KitchenAid refuses to recall it. KitchenAid certified tech's came a couple of times, replaced parts, and the issue is still ongoing. Now I have to get a new fridge with a different brand only 2 years after purchasing this one. Very disappointed in KitchenAid.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) After waiting 2 months for the fridge we found that the quality of inspection at the manufacturer level is very bad. The freezer door has the spray insulation foam coming out of the door edges. Very sad for the price we paid. However we got a new door ordered but they are not sure when that is coming in. I my own opinion this should not of left the manufacturer with this. It makes the fridge look like a cheap unit. But overall in interior and the operation of the fridge is amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new fridge was purchased to replace an older, noisier, hard-to-use fridge of the same size. At the time of this review, the new fridge has been up and running for 8 days, and it's good, so far. The new fridge is very quiet and despite being the same cubic feet as the old, seems to hold more. Might be because the drawers, shelves, and bins are more adjustable and can be arranged for more efficient accommodations. As stated previously, the new fridge has only been on for 8 days and it's too early to provide comments from a lengthier experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 16 year old kitchenaid refrigerator. Same as our last one a side by side. They definitely made some positive improvements over the years. The water and ice dispenser is higher for taller bottles, the ice dispenser inside the freezer is more efficient, LED lights inside, water filter replacements are inside at the top of the unit instead of on the outside at the bottom of the unit, we’ve had it around a month and it seems to be working fine. On the downside, I wish this one like our last one had spill shelves. Also for what this one cost, they didn’t do that great of a job with the finishing touches. You can see foam insulation on the seams on the refrigerator side. Oh and the slide out drawers aren’t the best quality. We have to be careful pushing them in as not to break them. We didn’t have many choices since all of our appliances are this style of Kitchenaid. Just hope it lasts 15 or more years like our last one.

First I had to get a carpenter to raise my cabinets because it is taller than my old fridge. Then I noticed one of the cheap plastic drawers was broken on the deli bin. They will replace it after reporting it to customer service . All of the drawers on this appliance are the same cheap plastic and are wobbly. They are also very small in capacity, The ice dispenser is very loud and ice sprays out in all directions. It is a major disappointment for me from a brand of product I expected to be high quality .
