We bought this product at the end of 2023 and it has been absolutely marvelous. We haven’t had any troubles with the unit and we did the install ourselves in about 30 minutes. I recommend Lectron to everyone I know with an EV vehicle and will continue purchasing their products. This charging system was purchased for a 2024 Mercedes EQE SUV and charges at about 9.5 KW plugged in. I plan to hardwire for the 48V charge soeeeds but haven’t had a chance.

Works great. Reducing my charging time from 8 hours to 1 hour.

I paid an electrician to professionally install the charger for my 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-e. After purchasing the charger, I realized there is not an app to control charging sessions (lends to the affordability?); however, I decided the Ford Pass app would suffice for monitoring sessions. I am enjoying the charger as it is easy to utilize and aesthetically pleasant. The only wish is that the warranty was for more than one year, hopefully, it will not be needed. As for now, I am very happy with the charger, as well as customer service when I did reach out with questions.

I read a lot of reviews about delays, etc. I ordered the new 48 amp V-box charger for my Mercedes EQS-SUV that is coming in two months. I ordered ahead of time because of the reviews. The unit shipped the day after I ordered and arrived within a couple of days. Installation was easy. Now I am just waiting on my SUV!

The coordination with our electrician and our V-BOX 48 Amp went very well. My installing the unit next to the NEMA 14-50 plug also was easy. I like the sturdy unit itself, the digital indication window, and frankly the very cool charging indication light that is in the shape of a “V.” It works well with our new Kia EV6 and the app from Kia as well. I don’t yet see where to add the photo I have taken but hopefully when I press “submit” it will let me do so. Thanks!

Firstly: it's 100% necessary to have a licensed professional install this charger. Costs may vary. My Circuit Breaker needed a 40 AMP fuse added so that this charger could be on its own dedicated line - separate from my electric appliances. Holes must be drilled in walls so cosmetic care is important. If you want to unlock the full 48AMP charging capability, you MUST have this device wired directly to the circuit breaker over the appropriate gauge wire. I did NOT want this unit hard wired. I had my electrician install a NEMA 14-50 outlet so that I myself could decide what to plug in. I have the V-box, but I also have the Cadillac Ultium charger (portable) and the Lectron portable. Just in case one charger ever "died" I can quickly swap plugs. The Lectron V-box is beautifully presented and looks great on the house wall. A single push button POWER switch with green LED lights up to tell you it's on. A large "V" shaped LED lights in Blue, Green and Red to signal charging status. The display lets you visually see charging amperage, voltage, time charging and temperature. I can see that it takes me less than 8 hours to charge to 100%. The first charging session took 7hr and the last took 10 minutes shy of 8 hours. As I charge whilst I sleep, the charging time is imperceptible. The unit includes thick, high quality rubber and the charging plug is finished in a nice gunmetal gray. The unit is waterproof and I have it outside the house exposed to the elements. We've had heavy rains. No problems noted whatsoever. I specifically love the look of the unit, but the build quality is also noteworthy. If you need a home charger for your EV, this is a great choice. UNFORTUNATELY, there are some features this model lacks. #1 The unit has no built in memory and can't log charge times or the amount of energy delivered so unless you wrote them down yourself, there's no record. #2 The unit is not SMART APP enabled. No Alexa. No Siri. IT's just a simple connection that's on or off. Do you really need apps? NO. But, some people might like an app because it could record the aforementioned charge times and duration.

The Lectron V-Box is a level-2 J1772 EV charger. It primarily charges J1772 EV models and can accept J1772 adapters to charge Teslas using their proprietary connector. When hardwired it can deliver 48 AMPS, but when plugged into a NEMA 14-50 outlet it is limited to 40 AMPS. I had mine plugged into a NEMA 14-50 to make upgrades easy if I ever choose to do so. Using my Cadillac Lyriq AWD as a test bed, I recharged the car, while I slept in a total session of 7 hours and 30 minutes. From 0% - 100% you're looking at roughly 8 hours, but if you're doing this whilst sleeping, that time can be imperceptible. While charging the V-box has lighting animations. It also has an easy to interpret LCD display that shows output power, charging time, temperature and notifications. It's a beautiful charger and looks fantastic on the side of my house. The only shortcomings is that it's not app enabled and there's no way of altering off-peak/peak charging times to make a schedule. It's pretty much passive and just requires you plug it in. Any and all scheduling must be done via your car's internal apps. Installation requires a circuit breaker, 40 AMP fuse and the appropriate gauge wiring. Installation MUST BE DONE BY A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL.

The Lectron V-Box 48 A is perfect for my Hyundai Ioniq 5! The install was easy for my electrician, took him about an hour to install. The cord is sturdy and long enough for our needs. Very pleased!

I bought the 48Amo Lectron V-Box a couple of months ago, when I ordered my 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. Finally, the car arrived and so did my electrician, and the V-Box was installed yesterday. I plugged in my Bolt, turned the V-Box on and the juice started flowing, just like advertised! My car charged in a couple of hours, and my wife was very happy that my plan had worked flawlessly. Works as intended, looks sleek, feels sturdy and has a quality build, connects and initiates charge with my Ioniq 5 within 10 seconds (maybe less-- haven't needed to time it). I don't usually take time to write reviews, so take this as a sign.

Works great so far, I did a poor job doing research I really wish it came with a app to monitor the charging cycles. Other than that I really like it. I still haven't figured out how to change the charging amps. Mine defaulted to 30amps and left it like that so far.

I bought this ,after my old,40amp,that used to come with the model S and X ,died. This is my first non Tesla charger,and I'm very happy with it. Just make sure if you have a Tesla, to remember to get the Tesla specific adapter.

Works well for charging all electric vehicles with J1772 sockets at home. 48 A , 240V unit is best to speed up the rate of charge. If you have a Tesla, you can purchase an adapter to convert the J1772 plug to a Tesla plug from Lectron as well.
