Great refrigerator until compressor went out
We have been very happy with our refrigerator until this week it completely died and service said it was compressor. We are now waiting for part to have it fixed.

    Say yes to Fred's fruits and vegetables!
    Before I got my new refrigerator/freezer I wasted a lot of fruits and vegetables. Now they stay fresh a lot longer. I bet my grocery store is missing me.

        Ok at best
        The light turns on simply from talking in the same room. Very irritating. LG customer service could have cared less when I called.Keeps food cold..like it should. The access door is nice but the knock feature is a gimmick item. Yes, I fell for it.

                Worked great for three years, now not so much!
                Compressor died. HUGE rigamarole with three companies and seven days, two technicians, and four individuals on the phone (none of whom knew what the others were doing) until the right guy showed up and fixed it. Two days later it is broken again! Not impressed!

                    Nothing but headaches
                    Shelled out big $$$ for this premium product. I’ve had this for six years, and I’ve had about 1 service call a year. The cooling coils freeze up time after time. The guy comes to unfreeze them, and we’re good for another few months, then the cycle starts anew. Fortunately, I have an extended service contract. Now, the feature where the door lights up has gotten on a hair trigger, it lights up from random background noise in the kitchen. I’m moving on, and cutting my losses……and frustration!

                        I purchased this refrigerator in 2019. It started freezing up around the compressor after one year. It was making a awful racket. LG Tech came and thawed out the ice build up which was hitting the fan and making the racket. One year later -- same problem -- LG tech comes thaws it out and the refrigerator stops making the racket. One year later - same problem -- LG tech comes out and thaws it out. This refri gerator has been repaired 3 times for the same problem. Each time the AG Tech states that something has been changed and this should not happen again. Let me say -- ALL of your techs that have come to my house are wonderful representatives of your company. They are considerate to me and my house. They all are truly attempting to find the problem -- and do think that the problem should have been solved. The problem is not the TECHs -- it was a refrigerator that was built with a flaw allowing air to get into the compartment where moister will form ice around the compressor. The refrigerator is a lemon. This house has all LG appliances. I purchased all of them in the spring of 2019 when I purchased the house and redid everything. I have LG products in my Condo in Minnesota.

                          I bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and still absolutely love it. I love the features and ease of changing the water and air filters, along with the various compartments in the refrigerator. Would definitely buy it again!!

                            Failed too soon
                            It stopped working after 4 years. Lucky to still be under warranty but a struggle getting repairs(2weeks and counting). Hundred dollars of food spoilage with holidays approaching. Not a pleasant experience. Expected better from LG.

                              LG counter depth French door refrigerator
                              We are so happy with this refrigerator but the compressor had gone out twice in less than 5 years. Thankfully both times it was replaced under warranty. This first time it stopped cooling was within the first year then right before the 5th it stopped again. I figure it’ll go out again within another 5 years then we’ll look for another refrigerator. But it sure is a good refrigerator.

Grand-kids love knocking on the window to see whats inside. Love the cold drawer for drinks. Convenient glass door and easy clean surface are great.

                                    Finally filtered water again
                                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love our lg refrigerator and have it a year in nov. we were changing the filter and it wouldn’t fit in. Turned out the part for the filter was defective. We had a wonderful repair technician who was able to get the part really quick and install it know I have my filter water back. Yay !,,,,the technician was awesome.

                                        I bought this Dec 30, '18. It worked fine until about 1.5 yrs later and the front circuit board had to be replaced. About 6 months later the cooling system had to be replaced.

                                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this LG refrigerator for five years and until just a few weeks ago I was so proud to own a top of the line product that had everything you would want and more. Then a problem arose it quit on us . Once I contacted LG of this problem and it went thru the channels I was contacted by a person who realized the grief I was experiencing over not having a refrigerator and having to live out of a cooler for awhile. The problem was quickly resolved by a professional LG technician and I have a like new refrigerator .

                                              Fridge stopped cooling in less than 3 years
                                              They sent technician to replace compressor but still the cooling is not the same. The technician came again after 2 months and send the cooling coil inside the fridge needs to change as well. Not happy so far. Hope they can fix it once and for all or they give me a significant discount to buy a brand new fridge.

A few weeks ago, I woke up and found most of my food had thawed in the freezer and my refrigerated items were not cold. After contacting LG, I was told most likely the compressor was bad and would be repaired. Well, after almost 2 weeks I was told it couldn't be fixed. Not a reliable product. It's a shame since it had unique features and was the most expensive frig I've ever purchased.
