Very bad, terrible
Worst refrigerator ever. The compressor broke in only two years of use. LG will not stand behind their product. Stay away from this refrigerator

          Insta-view door is a wonderful feature.
          Purchased in 2018, the compressor died about 2.5 years after. LG has repaired it free of charge, but in the meantime, I lost food. The appliance works well otherwise. I really like the instaview door, the temperature keeps everything cold. I like the digital display but the LG app has never connected to the appliance despite numerous attempts.

            More than a refrigerator and freezer. LIFE’s GREAT

I am so appreciative of the warranty and outstanding service and repair to replace a compressor and now have a new fully functional refrigeration. Love the filtered water and glass light up door compartment.

                Instant View Door A Great Feature
                We’ve had our LG Refrigerator Model LFXC24796 since Dec. 2019. Since then, we’ve had to replace the refrigerator compressor. When we purchase the refrigerator, we took out extended warranty, so the compressor was replaced at no charge. We have not encountered any other problems. Although sometimes an ice cube gets jammed in the chut and you run out of ice. Replenishing the ice takes a while but it’s no deal breaker. Lots of information is available on the LG website. I would like to see a list of recommended service/parts dealers for my area on the LG website.

                    Nice Features, not Reliable!
                    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compressor went bad after a couple of years, then the icemaker started to act up. Now the refrigerator section is freezing some of the food. Changing the temperature setting does nothing.

                      Not reliable
                      The fridge has some great features. Most notably the way to open one of the door only to see the little shelves right inside that door is great for avoiding all the cool air escaping when you want to get our the milk or butter. But it's not reliable. After 3 years it broke once due to ice clogging up a pipe. After 5 years it broke again, and this time it was refrigerant leaking (probably from an evaporator), which is an expensive enough fix that we're replacing it. It's not ok to up replacing a refrigerator after only 5 years.

                        Worst fridge ever!!!
                        Have had it for 5 years and the compressor has blown 2 times and the freezer is horrible! Had to unplug it twice and let it defrost because ice blocks form easily and make it not work correctly. The ice maker is horrible too!

                          Mnice features and performance
                          Bought unit 4 years ago. It has been working fine until the compressor stopped working. It took a MONTH to get the part and a repairman out to install it.

                              Quick access through small door
                              Can’t live without it. It’s so easy to grab and go. Milk, cream cheese, or drinks. Went from side by side to large shelve space. Had it serviced under warranty for compressor, it’s ready for another 5 yrs.

                                          Great features. Eye catching design.
                                          I purchased this refrigerator a couple of weeks ago and love almost everything about it. The craft ice is by far my favorite feature!! The only knock I have is the pre measured water feature. It would be so much better if you could select the ounces you want and be able to just leave the glass or container there without having to hold it for it to fill. Aside from that everything else has been perfect so far.

                                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our compressor failed a month short of 5 years. Luckily it has a 10 year compressor warranty. It took a few days to get here, but LG replaced it and we are back up and running.

                                              Nice features, but there are problems
                                              I bought this unit about 1 year ago. Both ice makers have gone out and been replaced. This is the 2nd LG I have purchased and both have had similar problems. That being said, I have been impressed with the warranty claim and repair process. Once you get a claim filed, they assign it to a tech and it is a seamless process.

                                                I got this refrigerator about 4 years ago. I have had trouble with compressor and it had to be replaced. I got the black stainless and am disappointed that it doesn’t have anything available if it gets scratched to repair. The part would need replaced which is too expensive

                                                    Don't buy!
                                                    I have owned this refrigerator since we moved into the house about 18 months ago. It has been one problem right after another. We have had to have virtually the entire mechanical parts of the appliance replaced and have lost 5 full refrigerators worth of food totalling more than $3,000.00. I could have bought a replacement for it instead. From ice machine issues, compressor problems, leaking, and other issues. I can honestly say I will never buy another LG product again. The only thing that was positive were 3wo repair technicians who came to do all the repairs. They were exceptional and outstanding.

                                                      the fridge is less than 5 years old and the cooking system broke. customer service replaced everything parts and labor. but it should not have happened.
