I’ve had my fridge for 5 years and the compressor has gone out!!!

We have issues with ice make in bottom freezer. Had 2 different repair people replace the ice maker itself and a connector hose. Still a issue. Ice maker makes ice cubes and drops them in container but freezes into one big block.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this almost one year ago, I love it , easy to clean,no noises at all, it has the capacity to hold a lot , you can have the option to make ice very fast and also the door alarm is wonderful, the freezer is big I really love it, the only two problem are that sometimes freeze the bread or food and second to clean the door is impossible always look dirty I suggest you to pay the extra money for the clear cover

The knocking started just after we plugged it in and it has only gotten worse over this one year of ownership. Almost daily we have new issues with vibrating of the shelves to humming and loud knocks all day and night. Our 16 year old refrigerator never made as much noise as this new Lg. The new purchase was for our forever home as we have retired, thinking new and going with this brand was a known safe buy; this is an expense lesson we will learn from and will tell our friends and family not to purchase Lg brands in the future. We also bought a Lg dishwasher and I will be writing just about the same review for that as well. This has not met our expectation at all!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this over a year ago and at first it was wonderful. It still performs terrific but the material of the Glide N' Serve drawer is shoddy. The criper drawer plastic is equally poor. The glass shelving though is AMAZING. How a manufacturer can be so right on and then go so wrong is shocking. One plastic triangle that hold the shelf in place over the crisper drawers snapped off as i was removing the whole piece. Not removing the glass from the shelf unit REMOVING THE UNIT FROM THE FRIDGE! I at first thought it was a piece of food that fell out like a nut or other small thing like a dried up old pea. Nope it was a piece of plastic. Then while spraying the side of the unit with a kitchen spayer another piece fell off. Finally all was clean and I was trying to get everything slid back in , I noticed another piece of plastic and saw it was for the flap over the Slide N' Glide drawer. Since this model is discontinued I doubt if I can get any replacement parts Truly a shame.

It's our first time with a bottom freezer refrigerator and we are very pleased. There is lots of room in both the fridge and freezer. The door shelves are very roomy and the LED lighting really lights up the fridge and freezer. The door open alarm is a nice touch also. There are digital readouts for the temperature settings. We love the full width drawer in the fridge for lunchmeat or trays of food for parties.The adjustable shelves allow for easier finding of snacks, leftovers etc. With the fridge on top there's no bending over to find the food in the back of the shelf.The freezer is roomy and the bottom basket is full sized and not angled in the back which allows for more storage.

My new LG is perfect ... and though it's the same footprint, I have sooooo much more space in my new fridge. And QUIET! Wow. I'm really really happy with this fridge and would recommend it to anyone.

Great space and gets cold very fast. Like the open door senser. Don't like the finger prints all over the door.

Love this fridge it's big and clean and easy to use. Best fridge I've had yet. I also like the option to switch the way the door opens that's a bonus!

No more hunting for a condiment or removing items so I can see what is in the back. I see EVERYTHING!! And did I mention that it is so quiet that I had to lean in to make sure it was working? I love love love it.

We were looking for a basic refrigerator/freezer and this had just the features we wanted. It does not have a internet connected touch screen, ice dispenser in the door or cameras. The price was right because it was on sale. This model was high recommended by Consumers Reports. The unit has been in use for four days. The ice maker is keeping the bin full. The ice cream is frozen and the lettuce is cool. The only issue was the online and printed requirements for the ice maker. The online version said the water shutoff valve had to be with 6 feet of the unit. The printed documentation we received when we bought the unit had "on the same floor" as an additional requirement. Both of these requirements were met, so first delivery date was accepted. Phone calls to Home Depot provided verbal requirements of within 6 feet, on the same wall and not in a closet or cabinet. We had a plumber come in to move the valve and the installation was re-scheduled. Please update the printed and the online documentation so no future customer has to go through this installation experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator a couple of weeks ago and LOVE it! I love all the features and the quietness of it. It runs so quietly and is first quality.

Huge inside the fridge, can fit more in the fridge than my old side by side and it takes up less width.

We've had this about a month now and are very pleased with this purchase. The amount of space is great for a 33" wide fridge. The only drawback are the fingerprints! I have to wipe it down daily.

Scrapped after 4 months Our LG bottom freezer fridge stopped cooling 9 weeks after it was installed. We had 4 LG service calls, each one took about 2 weeks to schedule. We bought 20 lbs of ice daily to keep temperatures in the 40s. On the third call the compressor was replaced, but freezer stayed mostly around +20 degrees. After the 4th service call the cooling quit again, and the repairman scheduled another compressor replacement, which would not take place for another 3 weeks. This 5th call would have been almost 3 months after the intial call. LG refused to replace the unit as a lemon, and would not commit to a replacement even if the 3rd compressor failed. We gave up and bought another refrigerator, and the LG went off to the scrap heap.

The water line that came with it fit perfect to the connection in my fridge. The temperature is set with actual degrees not a dial that says 1-9 or something. The lighting is incredible. Thanks LG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe how much room I have in this refrigerator. We got rid of a side by side that wouldn't open all the way because it sat against this wall. I love the simple design.

After 2 years and 11 months the freezer has stopped working. The ice is melting, there is water in the ice tray, the ice cream is melting, our meat is still frozen for now but it's only a matter of time before it goes bad. Ever since we bought the refrigerator there has been an issue with the bottom freezer door not sealing at the bottom, I'm not sure if this caused it to stop working. Call me crazy, but for some reason I expected a nearly $1500 refrigerator to last more than 3 years. Attached is an image of the water collecting in the bottom of the freezer from things starting to thaw.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 3 weeks ago. Love all the room in my refrigerator and my freezer. Also, love having my refrigerator on top so I can see into it without bending over to see where everything is and bumping my head on the way out.

I am very pleased overall, my only 2 points that prevent this from being 5 star iis that when you open the freezer drawer, the top shelf does not pull out fully, which I feel could be beneficial. Also, and on a minor side, there are no screw hole plugs (cosmetic in nature) but it is something I notice). I love the door alarm that will indicate that the refrigerator door is not sealed if finding is keeping the door open, however, there is not an alarm to indicate if something keeps the freezer door ajar.

Great product. Ice maker takes a day to fill the ice cube holder, but that is a HUGE amount of ice. Enough for 20 glasses at once. Clean, quiet, COLD. The vegetable drawers are large enough for 6 heads of cabbage or lettuce, 3 1-gallon jugs of milk on the door, and space for much more. I love the convenience of the pull out freezer drawer. This is my first bottom drawer freezer type. all the others were side by side, but I much prefer the bottom drawer for access and storage.

Not to discredit others reviews, BUT, I am so glad I didn't listen. We have only had this fridge 3 days now and we absolutely LOVE it. We bought a lot of food and it didn't even make a dent to how much this fridge holds, it's HUGE. YES the door is a bit tough to open but if you eat your spinach you will have no problem haha, to me it just means it has a really good vacuum seal which is what we want. It is so bright inside that we cant miss ANYTHING that we are looking for. I must say as well it runs so quiet and for the ones who say it makes a lot of noise try shutting off the ice maker if not in use. We really like the alarm it features as well. TRUST me you would not be sorry if you purchased this refrigerator. :) THANK YOU HD !! so if you are looking for a new refrigerator this is the one for YOU!!....Oh oh oh, and the freezer part has plenty of room as well and so bright inside too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first new refrigerator in over 25 years so I really don’t have much to compare it to. I have only had it a couple of weeks, but there are a few things worth mentioning. My floor is slightly uneven, but I never had a problem getting my old fridge adjusted to level. The legs on this one are very difficult to adjust & the soft plastic piece that surrounds the leg is really poor design. The other issue I have with this fridge is that the freezer drawers do not come out all the way, making it a little difficult to get to items stored towards the back of the drawers. In addition, the fridge is not as quiet as the product description claims it is, but it is acceptable. On the up side, it is super roomy. After transferring all my food from the old standard sized fridge to this new one, it looked fairly empty. I am loving that I have so much space in there. It also has great temperature control. I already lost power during a storm & when the power came back on several hours later, I could see that the temp in both the freezer & the fridge had remained steady throughout. And the LED lighting in both the fridge & freezer is a bonus, too. All things considered, this fridge is a great buy...Reasonably priced, very roomy & efficient,
