Super happy I ordered both washer and dryer! They are beautiful together.

It gets a code when put on quick wash and stops it which is odd. Otherwise it would be a 5.

The tub is bigger than my old machine and with the pedestal I don't have to bend down to load and unload. The tub wash feature is great, too. Very happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The display panel only lights up to show certain things like time left. Other than that it is extremely hard to read and select any other options. I am using in a very well lit area and it's still impossible to see. I thought something was wrong with it but in reading other reviews, it seems this is the way it is. In the store it's not plugged in and I assumed the panel would be back lit but it isn't. The new LG dryer I purchased at the same time is the same way. I wouldn't have bought if I had known. I did research it too and this was never mentioned until I searched for it. It cleans clothes fine, but for the the control panel not being lit, I would not recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this LG washer because my 10 year old Whirlpool Duet washer broke down and couldn’t be fixed and machine was discontinued. I really like this machine and glad I bought it. I do have notice that at every load you have to wipe off excess water to prevent mold and it’s best to leave door open when not in use so drum can dry. Another option I like it’s a feature called Tub Clean Coach and it reminds you when it’s time to clean machine. Oh and it’s WiFi ThinQ you can start your washer and delay wash right from your mobile.

We purchased this product online on 11/25/19, on 11/30/19 the product was delivered in the evening. On 12/01/19 the product started leaking, and I don't mean drips, underneath the washer. Didn't even have the thing for 1 full day when it started leaking. Every ounce of water that came into the washer came right out underneath. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER. Called on 12/2/19 to get my money back. This of course is not easy now. It's another 8 days on waiting for them to pick it up, 12/10/19...I hope. Then collect and scan back into their inventory. All this while I'm out $600+ and no working washer. I can't go purchase another washer until I get my money back. DO NOT DEAL WITH LG. Might be good for TVs and Mobile phones, but based on my first and only purchase of their appliances the only word that comes to mind is crap. I mean that for the quality of the product, customer services, and them thinking that people have just spare washers hanging around so taking 2 plus weeks to refund money for poor design or build is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

We've owned 5 different washers in over 30 years of marriage. After spending weeks reading reviews and looking at warranties and sales we decided to try the LG brand. We have had Hotpoint, GE, Samsung and now LG. It's the best decision for us. I'm very happy with this washer. We also purchased the washer pedestal which works wonderfully. This machine is efficient, quiet, offers multiple cycles, but most importantly it cleans the clothes. I love this washer.

I attached a picture of the washer after a couple of years of use. The bleach compartment corroded and fell apart. I’ve owned many washers in the past, this is a first to me. Very cheaply made.

We purchased this front loader for the energy efficiency and water efficiency. It has had issues since the first month of its usage when we put 3 small pillows in it. It caused the gasket in the washer to catastrophically fail (pictures attached) and put rubber shavings in the tub. The first month! It was still under warranty, so the first technician visit had to order a new gasket. Apparently the Home Depot washer has a custom gasket so the first gasket he ordered was the wrong one -- needed to order a second one. The second technician visit he installed it -- followed by issues of a clanging sound in the washer (like there was a nail inside that made noise every time it tumbled), leaking from the bottom of the washer, and excessive water built up in the drain after every wash. The third visit we had a technician check to verify the gasket was installed properly -- he said it was. The fourth visit we had a technician to check the clanging sound and other issues, at which point he said the gasket was not installed properly. We haven't even had this washer for 4 months. I have 0 faith this will be our last technician visit. This washer has caused us a lot of grief and time lost. I don't understand why the product would fail so catastrophically after pillows. The technician said that Home Depot is supposed to tell you not to put pillow in there, but it doesn't make any sense. They didn't fill up over half of the tub. Very unsatisfactory product, and I'm sorry I purchased it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washer about a month ago and I have washed many loads. Have washed whites, colored clothes, blankets, my pillows and so far it has been great. It gets our clothes very clean. It is so quiet you do know it’s washing. Made sure it was level when installed and no problem with the spin cycles. I do wipe down the door and gasket when finished washing and leave the door open some as it recommends and no problem with any smell. I did a great deal of research before deciding on this washer. I have not been disappointed. The display panel seems to have been a problem to some people but has not for me. I would recommend this washer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my LG washer for almost for Month, and love it. It is very easy to use and gives me the ability to wash any type of fabric without worrying about damage. Even though it has a variety of functions, it is very intuitive, so for someone like me who doesn't like reading directions, I was able to figure out how to use it without doing so. One of the reasons we chose it, was because the closet area where it goes is not very deep, as it was set up for a top load washer. But this LG front load washer, even though it is a large-capacity washer, can fit into the space.

It good features, however there a few things. 1) Wish the instructions manual was better. 2) when doing several loads of laundry one right after another I wish he power would stay on a little longer. But other then that it been good. I still think it need to be Re-leveled

When the washer was delivered a month ago, my husband was so excited to try it. Throw a load in my new machine, press start and a little tune played to say machine is starting. Ran very quite, was very impressed with the results and the little tune it played when load was done. Thank LG for such an awesome machine. I love it,,,,,will definitely look into your other product

Very quiet Easy to understand and use

I bought this after my 10 year old model broke down. I chose not to fix it as this machine was only $100 more than the quote from the repairman. I have since come to learn that the bearings have a 10 year lifespan which is disappointing. The washer washes clothes well and is quiet enough. It has good features, however I am very disappointed with the display. I thought my control panel was faulty until I found a trove of complaints about this very topic. It is very hard/impossible to read the control panel which tells you the water temperature, spin speed, soil level, etc. it is super bizarre that LG wouldn’t backlight the panel so that you can read the settings. My old washer had a dial which was low-fi and much preferred. Having this cheap panel really does negate the other good qualities of the washer. For the price of this washer, everything should be excellent. I count on LG for overall excellence. If I had tested this in the store, I probably wouldn’t have bought it. Buy one with dial controls instead.

Excellent washing machine, meets all our needs (family of four with two young kids). A regular load takes about an hour and a half. You can connect the washer to your WiFi to get basic notifications on your phone (time left, wash done, etc) through the LG smarthinq app. Connecting the washer to the wifi network was fairly easy. The smarthinq app itself is slow and kind of buggy, but you're not missing out on much if you don't use it. Clothes come out clean and almost dry. It's quiet but I can still hear a whir from the basement when it's doing its final spin. All in all, best washer I've ever had. We will see if it holds up over the years. Last thing - make sure the installers remove the big styrofoam block underneath/inside the machine when they set it up. If they don't, you'll hear a really loud squeaking.

The washer does a good job in washing clothes. The cycles seem to be a lot longer than version of this machine I purchased 14 years ago. I put in towels and ran on the sanitize cycle and it took almost 2 hours. The good news is that it fit perfectly on the old pedestal. As with the other reviews the information screen is really hard to read. They should have back lit it . . . even with the light on in my laundry room it is hard to read. The crew from HD brought it in and set it up and ran the initialization cycle. They said it would be good to go once that cycle was completed. I tried to run a load of wash a few hours later. For some reason no matter where I pushed on the touch pad (water temp, spin speed . . .) the result was that it would initiate an extra rinse 1, 2. My son (19) tried to trouble shoot it and couldn't get it to work. The next day the same thing. The third day I was about to call LG's support line when . . . magically . . . it worked as expected. And has been for the last two weeks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had our washer for 2 weeks now and we are thrilled with its performance so far. Our washer repair person recommended this machine. She told us that if you follow a few simple rules this washer will last you 10 years. First: Don't overload the machine with huge, heavy loads. Second: Clean out the "drain pump filter " at least once a month. ( see photo) This machine gets our laundry cleaner and cuts down on drying time since it spins out the water so well. If you NEVER use more than two ounces of liquid detergent you will not have issues with too much suds. We use one ounce or less for small and medium loads and two ounces for large loads. If you wipe the condensation off the inner window of the washer door AND leave the door open after your final load of washing you will avoid any problems with mildew buildup.

We love our new LG washer! It is much quieter than our old unit, it also uses much less water & laundry detergent and cleans our clothes better than ever, No functionality issues to date, we have had the washer and dryer for about 2-months and probably average one of two loads a day.. As other reviewers have mentioned, the display panel on this washer is difficult to read depending on the light source available. However once you get used to the operation of the washer you realize that you don't really need to adjust the settings via the panel that often anyway. We just purchased a LED light with a magnetic base and a flexible neck so we can direct light to the Washer or Dryer display panel when needed (see image). .

1/ Turbowash jet is place in bad location, after washing cycle is done, the turbojet nozzle is still dripping water from remaining water in the line for an hour, if I leave the door opens a little as suggested to air out against mildew, water drips down the door and on the floor. The only solution is to keep the door shut to keep the water dripping inside and then you get mold. 2/ After a month, the door rubber seal is already leaking three times, never know when is the next time. 3/ Water injection pressure during the wash cycle is extremely high pressure and loud causing very loud water hammer bang, feel like the piping system will crack soon( I had a Maytag before this , there was some little bang but not caused an alarm). I added water hammer arrester, it reduced significant water pressure but still there are some small water hammer but acceptable. 4/ Creaking spinning like an old Chinese made bicycle that needs some grease. Pro: The only credit is it has nice design.

Positive: Clean cycle is really fast, quiet operation, cleans well, super resource efficient and good overall cost value. It also comes in a color other than white. Negative: A little water traps in the rubber ring. No delay cycle. Still designed around using measured liquid detergent rather than the detergent pods. The wifi is for troubleshooting only app - thought it would offer more functionality. Comment: I haven't owned this washer very long and I would have liked the pedestal for the added height.

Just bought this about a month ago and overall the machine is so far so good. Pretty quite and simple to use. I have 2 issues though. First, the soap tray is on the left side which for my set up causes a problem. My washer is in a kitchen area behind a set of Bi-fold doors to conceal it. Problem is the bi-fold doors barely open wide enough to allow me to pull out the try. Second, the display screen does not light up so unless you have good lighting where the washer is it is hard to read without using some sort of flashlight or cell phone light. This is probably my biggest disappointment. Probably would have given a 5 star rating if not for this.

Overall I really like my washer. The clothes come out clean and it seems efficient. The one thing I would do differently is I would buy the white machine. I could only give it 3 stars because of a design flaw. I can not read the type in my laundry room on the machine. In the upper right corner you have gray type on a black background. It is unreadable for me without using a flash light. The other concern I have is the soap dispenser. I have tried the detergent pods in the soap dispenser which doesn't work at all. Much of my soap and the plastic is left in the dispenser when the load is finished. I have tried liquid detergent and it is better but still some soap remains. I have now been adding the pod right to the tub with the clothes and it seems ok. I will call LG and find out if this is ok and why the soap dispenser doesn't empty out the way it should.

It’s a shame that a machine that I cannot recommended a machine that does a great job of washing clothes. It’s downfall is the control panel, as it does not light up which makes it extremely difficult to read. It wouldn’t have been difficult for LG to backlight the black screen. I have added a flashlight to my laundry room so we can see the control panel. LG is familiar with this concern as others have mentioned it. Unfortunately I did not read these reviews until it was too late.
