Love the tile. No damaged product as seen in some other reviews. Easy to install. Because of how thick the tile is, it does take a few more scores with a knife to cut and snap then shown in the video on line. If you have a tile cutter that can handle the 16” wide tile, that will save you time and fatigue. Tile was put over uneven porcelain tile floor.

We're very happy with final results, but we were glad we'd read previous reviews, including one that warned that this is not easy for DIYers to install and would require a saw, not just a utility knife. Since we were prepared with a jigsaw, we were able to succeed without too much frustration. There's a definite learning curve involved in using this product. You have to hold the interlocking pieces at a particular angle and then pound the seam with a rubber mallet. Until you discover the angle and force required, it's frustrating, but after that, pretty smooth sailing. The tapping block is also essential since it's easy to damage the tile ends without it. Depending on your layout, there's a LOT of waste, so be sure to order more than you think you'll need. We were VERY glad we'd drawn a schematic (picture attached) that guided our process and made sure we didn't end up 1" short at the end of the room - which we would have otherwise. Because of the way the tiles interlock, advance planning is essential for these tiles to turn out right. Everyone thinks the floor looks great - less industrial than concrete with a more natural feeling, but not like fake stone. Don't know why this selection is only online and not in the stores.

We are an older couple and it took us one day to install this floor in our kitchen. Viewing the installation videos prior to installation was very helpful. No saws or cutting machines were needed. The planks snapped easily using the top step of our stairs as leverage. We are pleased with the end result and received many compliments.

I bought this product to float over an existing tile floor and it worked beautifully. I had the floor skimmed prior to installation to fill the grout indentations, but it layed down quite well with very little waste. I only had one damaged tile out of 22 cases, which I thought was exceptionally fortunate. It feels great to walk on, and looks great too!

Got this floor for the kitchen. Giving it four stars for now because we can't confirm in home wear and tear and durability yet. Did take the sample and stained it with grape jelly, ketchup and wrote on it with permanent Sharpie black magic marker. All wiped completely clean. Used an alcohol wipe to remove the marker. If ever there was the perfect surface texture and color for a kitchen this floor is it! The icing on the cake is that it looks so nice, too. Had professional installers put it in and they told me to mention that the floor is forgiving and the suggested slide in assembly recommended in the video is exactly how to install them. They liked the lock feature. The final test of the floor sample was gouging it with a sharp scissors...although it dug in somewhat the genius color choice made it disappear. This had to be designed by a woman with 30 plus years of trying to keep a floor clean....lol...just kidding...this is a really great floor!!!

Just completed a bathroom project using Lifeproof Breezy Stone flooring (about 75sqft). This is a very well engineered product but very technical to install. There is a learning curve. Consider watching some of the online videos before purchasing. Like the other reviewers mentioned the larger pieces (16x32) cannot be cut with a utility knife. A table saw is a must. The pieces just don't snap like the narrower flooring. The saw however creates a lot of dust so protect your lungs with a mask. The job would have taken 4 times longer using a utility knife. It is a very strong material. Do not attempt to install a piece that have a damaged corner from shipping unless you very carefully clean the groove. Inspect each piece thoroughly. Also, make sure there is no lint or dust in the grooves which is another reason why a table saw cut creates problems (dust). I used a very fine horsehair brush used in masonry work to clean the piece before installing. My project came out looking nice so I am satisfied with the purchase. I would recommend this flooring in larger square rooms without many cutouts, a solarium or 3 season room would work well. A large room install should go quickly and smoothly.

After researching solid core vinyl floorings of different brands, we decided LifeProof was the best for the money. It is thicker than any other except Shaw. I couldn't find much information on how thick the wear layer on LifeProof is, but decided it was probably adequate. To test its strength, we gave it a good forceful scratch with a screwdriver. It did cut a scratch into the wear layer that you can feel, but it does not really show. We chose 16x32 inch tiles rather than wood-look planks just because I wasn't trying to fake the look of wood. The color and pattern of Breezy Stone is neutral and doesn't shout that it's trying to look like stone or anything else. We found the installation a lot harder than expected. Since the tiles are so thick and rigid--a good thing--they did not have a great deal of bend, and it was hard to get the edges to click into place sometimes. Really hard. But we always got it to work. To drive each tile into the previous one, we used a section of scrap tile, matching its tongue into the groove of the tile we were positioning. Holding the scrap piece at about a 45 degree angle, we banged on its opposite edge with a rubber mallet (one side yellow, one red) using sideways force. If the crack between the previous tile and the new tile did not disappear immediately, we readjusted the alignment of their edges. Once the edges were aligned properly, a moderate bang with the rubber mallet on the scrap piece would result in a very satisfying click as the tiles joined and the crack was almost invisible. For the side joint, it's necessary to bang down with the rubber hammer with some force all along the seam. It always worked pretty well. The tiles cut like butter on the table saw for long cuts or the band saw for small cuts. Never any chipping. We are pleased with the look of the finished floor. Have not had it long enough to comment on durability, but I expect it to last well. It's great that we don't have to worry about swelling of the tiles from spills since they are waterproof, but it's important to note that the small cracks between tiles will certainly allow liquid to pass through. The tiles are waterproof, but not the floor. It is easy to clean.

These are very high quality vinyl tiles and I do recommend them. Users should note that the edges are very delicate and easily damaged. If they are damaged, you will have problems getting the tiles to snap together properly. Check and clean up any damage. Better packaging would protect the edges.

Disappointed due to the coloring of this product. Immediately upon opening the first box I assumed they'd shipped the wrong color. After checking the color code It was confirmed to be the correct color (Starry Light). It was much darker and certainly more greyish blue than the pictures on home depot had shown. It appeared to be good quality. Had to return it all to the store, which was also a hassle, because the employees didn't know how to return an online order.

I have the LifeProof Breezy Stone 16 in. x 32 in. Luxury vinyl tile. I love this floor. I have had this for a week now. It surpasses my expectations. Pros; sturdy, waterproof, quiet, it locks in and stays that way...I know this floor will last a long time too. The only con, it's not very pretty. It looks more grey then beige, it's looks like a stone floor - I still love it though. I picked "Breezy Stone" instead of the patterns with the wood grain lines, because this pattern will not stick out or repeat or show where the edges start and begin - I can barely see the edges. If you have children and/or pets, this flooring and color is perfect - it always looks clean! Pet fur and foot prints don't show on it. The contractor staggered the planks in a brick pattern, which he recommended. Highly recommended!

This is excellent flooring. It isn't slippery or hollow sounding like the old laminate flooring. It is very thick and sturdy and if you have even modest carpentry skills you can get a professional looking floor at a fraction of the cost. Joining the tile took a little strength to hold the tile at an angle, push and then hammer the joint with a soft mallet, but not too bad. I installed over two layers of old tile with no prep work and it hid imperfections perfectly. The only issue I had was a few of the tile came with dented corners from shipping. This tile is so precise and fits together to tightly that even the slightest ding on the corner will show as hole in the floor. I was able to plan these corners into my cut pieces to eliminate them, but if your whole order is dented your out of luck. Suggestion- LifeProof- beef up your corner packaging. Other than that this floor tile is far superior to any other DIY tile on the market.

This floor is not as easy to install as the video makes it look, but is more helpful than the instructions that come in the box. The print instructions are hidden between the planks and you may not even see them until you have removed several. The print is microscopic and hard to read. As mentioned by several other reviewers, there is a problem with damaged planks that should be caught by "quality control" before they are even packaged. There was no visible damage to either the outer shipping box or the product packaging, yet we had at least 5 damaged planks in 3 boxes. Luckily since our project was a small laundry room that barely required more than 2 boxes, we had plenty of extra. With careful planning we were also able to use at least part of 3 of the damaged planks. The video and TV commercials make it look like this floor is indestructible, but the instructions include warnings about everything from certain spills to scratches from dog's nails. I like the look of the finished floor. I hope it holds up as well as expected, but since installation was just completed today, time will tell. Picture shows finished floor, but due to lighting color isn't accurate. It actually looks more like the website photo of a sample.

This was not a bad product but not as easy to lay as portray in the video tutorial. No big surprise there. But being somewhat padded underneath it does feel good to walk on and also easy to sweep and mop.

This is a horrible product. I ordered 9 boxes and when they arrived the outside of the boxes looked ok, but inside there were 4 full different boxes damaged. The corners where they lock together were bent over and they wouldn't lay flat. Of coarse I didn't notice until I was 1/2 way done then had to tear the floor back up to replace the damaged pieces. I returned the damaged pieces and had to reorder 4 new boxes. When they arrived a week later there were 2 full boxes of damaged pieces. Luckily I was able to cut off the bad ends and use them against the walls. I would NEVER buy this JUNK again.

I decided to do this tile when the estimate of getting ceramic tile installed in a brick-lay pattern was $5600 by the home depot flooring department. I was also told the black asbestos mastic had to be removed. Since I'm on a budget in this house reno, luxury vinyl tile was recommended to my mom by a friend because it could be installed on top the asbestos and issues the slab had. This stuff was difficult to install. My mom and I started the first 2 rows in my sunroom and seriously thought about returning it for grip-strip tile because the tiles weren't clicking together. She called my step-dad who was able to get it to click and lock the way it is supposed to. The grooves of the click and lock are small and more difficult than bamboo and regular laminate flooring. I don't know how easy it is to cut by scoring it on both sides. It is thick tile so we used a dremel to cut it. It took 2 days to install 486 square feet. It looks exactly like the pictures online. There's not a lot of variation in the color so it's a good stone tile look. It scuffs easy but it is also really easy to remove the scuffs. It was installed over the weekend so I've only had it for a day and am working on installing the quarter round, then cleaning, then I can move the furniture back in.

Terrible experience with this product. 1st thing was 90%was damaged when it arrived then what was good was not wanting to lock together them to top it off when I returned the damaged material they were no longer available. How is this possible. I ordered enough to do multiple rooms and could only do one. I'll never order another floor tile online. If it's not a stock item I'll be er think about buying it.
