Lutron fan controls are designed to control a standard 3-speed ceiling fan which only uses pull-chains to adjust its speeds. A fan that has its own remote or wall control typically uses a proprietary control technology and would likely be incompatible with a third-party fan speed control. We suggest you reach out to the fan manufacturer to verify if this control would be compatible with their fan.

We're sorry to hear about the issue you experienced with the DVFSQ-LF control. Some fans have a built-in module or limiter that can't be controlled by other manufacturers' controls. We suggest you contact the fan manufacturer to find out if your fan can be controlled by a third-party fan control, such as the DVFSQ-LF.

Light/fan control combination switch
Excellent switch. I appreciate the fact that the light switch is primary and the fan switch is secondary. My previous switch was the opposite. Simple installation and the instructions were very clear. Highly recommended

Overall good, but the fan control speed changes is not great. maybe have too many, basically I see either slow or fast. the rest are not very noticable change.

The problem with this combination fan/light switch is that the light can not be dimmed, only turned on and off.
Most people want the ability to also dim the lights in the fan. Therefore a different fan/light control has to be purchased.

Too difficult to adjust fan
I got this switch because I needed independent 3-speed fan and on-off light control, and it’s the only one I could find. The light rocker switch is great, but who thought it was a good idea to use an impossibly small slide for the fan control that can only be moved with fingernails? It could have been larger or, at least, the slider could have been ribbed on the top so that it could be moved with a fingertip. Surprisingly terrible design from a quality company.
