Works well on the new Makita vacuum we purchased and on shop cordless tools in the light to medium range. No issues whatsoever. Have been using Makita cordless tools and batteries for about 14 years and only recently had a failure of a very old well used 1.5A hr battery. Zero issues with any of the 2 through 5 AHr batteries. The fuel gauge on the batteries is very helpful.

Wish it came with a strap instead of a variable speed.

This vac requires has to be carried since the hose is less than four feet. The shoulder strap is optional, which is silly for a $180 mini vac. Even sillier is that is has no dusting brush. It would be less irritating if accessories actually existed for this vac. In fact, I wanted to use this vac as a dust extractor for a Makita sander. It was pictured as one with a flooring saw. Was told it wasn’t meant to be. And, of course, the sander’s optional hose doesn’t fit ANY Makita vacs.

Does not suck super strong, but better than others that I have tried in the same category (milwaukee). is very lightweight and easy to clean out.

Love the tiny Makita cordless blower I bought that uses this battery. Would buy it all again even tho it’s a little pricey. Love that I don’t have a cord and that it’s so light weight!

Paid $150 for ONE battery and now it will not hold a charge only a week after I bought it. It's going back to the store... Makita used to be good stuff. I know because I strictly have ONLY run Makita for about the last 16 years but something has changed with these guys over the last several years and their product has gone to crap. If you're a contractor or a serious DIY'er then consider another brand for your permanent collection~ I know I'll be looking now and will replace everything as it starts to age out. Good for 'happy-homeowner' crap around the house...

I bought this figuring i could use it for some light dust extraction with makita saws and for vacuuming. I found out it’s not compatible with any makita attachments or adapters. It comes with a very short hose and there’s no way to attach a longer one without probably duct taping it to some other brand’s hose. If you want to vacuum the floor, you need to get on all fours and do it. Who would design a vacuum that requires you to crawl along the ground to use it? It’s just bizarre.
