Keeps me toasty when working outside. This is a nice pair of jackets: the headed liner and the insulated outer. I really like the fit of the liner jacket and appreciated the properly gusseted arms. That means when I lift my arms up for a steering wheel or to reach for something overhead the jacket doesn't ride up and the arms don't feel shorter. The liner is a snug fit, which is what I'd expect so that the heating elements are close to my body. The outer is more generous, which is nice. For reference, I am 5'10" and 200 lbs. and size medium is just about perfect. Anything bigger and I'd be swimming in it and anything smaller would be too tight. I'm in a moderate climate so the heater feels like overkill. That's great since I can leave it on it's lowest setting and it keeps me warm. I really like the battery pack holder. The holder has a USB input port and the jacket comes with a cable so it's easy to charge the battery in your car. It also has a USB output port, which allows me to charge my phone on the go as well. And since it comes off of the jacket I can use it year round as my phone battery backup. Pretty smart thinking on their part! My one gripe with this jacket is the same gripe I have about other Milwaukee heated items. The battery pack is in a pocked at your lower back right over your kidney. It is not comfortable to sit in a car seat with this in place so I end up disconnecting it, which is annoying. I'd prefer if they got creative and found a better location for the battery.

This is an AWESOME outerwear solution for those of us that have to work outdoors in less than ideal conditions. As a 3 in 1 system, you can wear the just the heated jacket when its uncomfortably cool, only the outer shell when its just wet and windy and with the zip-in interlock and wrist and collar straps wear both in combination for those REALY lousy days. With 3 heat settings on the jacket you can adjust the heat for varying weather conditions and found it heats in about 1 minute. The kit comes complete with the heated jacket, waterproof outer shell, power source, battery, and wall plug. Great product that exceeded my expectations. Well worth EVERY cent..

I have a few of the Milwaukee heated jackets and sweatshirts, but this one is BY FAR my favorite. It is a very nice looking jacket, but yet very functional. It does take a little getting used to reaching through the little opening on the outer shell to reach the buttons on the inner jacket, but it works well. You can wear just the inner (heated) jacket, the outer shell, or combine them for a full, hooded jacket. The new charging system is much slower than the old drop in chargers, but a lot more convenient. It comes with the wall plug and a USB cable for charging. The battery holder that plugs into the jacket has a micro USB plug you plug it into to charge the battery. It also has a USB plug that you can use to charge your phone.

AWESOME COAT! I love the coat. Its incredible and worked really well keeping me warm. I really enjoyed the size of the front pockets and that they were there. My hand held radio fits perfectly and really makes it convenient to listen and respond. It even has a pen holder for quick access. I no longer have to fish inside my shirt for anything. I keep everything zipped up and in place on this jacket. The only down side is the sizing. Even though its the same size. The outer shell seems to be one size to big but the inner seems to be one size to small. That's why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Other then that it is fantastic. The battery fits comfortable and I hardly felt it. For the most part I forgot it was there. The temperature settings I had to play with to find my comfort zone. However, they make it super easy with the buttons located on the inner shell chest area. I stayed nice and warm working in low 30F weather multiple days in the Midwest this past week. I highly recommend it! QUALITY ALL THE WAY!

Milwaukee has made a M12 Heated axis layer system with a 12-volt Lithium cordless jacket ,with a Gridiron work shell. It includes 3 heat systems to adjust to the weather temperatures, It comes with a 2.oah battery and charger in black. They have made this jacket less bulky but with the same ability to keep just as warm. The sleeves are insulated as well which gives added warmth .A center zipper, as well as snaps is a great barrier at keeping the wind and cold from seeping in.

The Milwaukee M12 3-In-1 Heated Jacket is a must for anyone who works outdoors or anyone who just doesn't like to be cold. The battery for the unit is the standard Milwaukee M12 battery, so if you own multiple tools from the system, you have extra batteries to use. When you run the jacket on high (red light), it usually gets about 3 hrs per 2.0 battery, and it goes up to about 6 hrs on the low setting (white light). Hands down one of the best heated jackets on the market today.

After getting two heater hoodies from Milwaukee tool last year I decided to get one of the heated jackets this year and I couldn't be more satisfied with my new jacket, I'm very happy with the new charger which is basically a high-quality Phone cord. You can also use the battery to charge your phone it actually changes about as fast as a normal outlet which is awesome! PROS *Super comfortable *Very well made *Very warm so probably best for weather below 50 degrees *Fairly priced Overall just super happy with my new jacket!

After I recieved my jacket from Milwaukee I started wearing it almost right away because fall came quick this year. I got the heated axis layering system with Gridiron outer work shell. Mine came with a battery and wall charger that works well but does take a little time. I have plenty of M12 tools so I just put the battery in one of my base type chargers and it charges just fine. While reading the instructions that came with the jacket system, I found that you can use the battery adapter also becomes a standbye phone charger and also a USB power adapter that I am still finding uses for. The inner jacket is very comfortable to wear on its own, rather warm, perfect for northern fall climates when a heavy jacket would be too much. In those early mornings when the Temps are near freezing the almost instant heat from the battery power is great. You can get heat just around the middle or shoulders or both at the same time. The heat has 3 settings controlled by two zone buttons on the left chest hidden behind the M12 emblem. These 2 buttons glow red, for high, white for medium, and blue for low. Push and hold for on, either zone then cycle through with a push for temps, and push and hold for off again. The instructions say 8 hours of battery life per charge, with all day use and cycling through the temps as needed and off a bit here and there I can make it through a 12 hour day without any issues. The outer shell with hood is made out of some tough material. Very waterproof which stood up well to Me being caught in multiple downpours in a single day. I'm am not a fan of a hood but I don't really mind this one at all. It completely zips into the inner layer all around the front edge, and the sleeves are also held in place so your sleeves stay put when worn as a pair. The entire jacket system was well thought out and works great together. The instructions say machine washable but I haven't had the opportunity to wash it yet, but the quality is such that I will not worry about it. The fit was right on, I am a 2x all day long but I got the jacket in a 3x because I knew I would be wearing other stuff like heavy shirts and long Johns underneath it and the fit is perfect. I will be wearing this jacket system for the entire winter for sure, and will just carry a spare battery if I ever need it. Plan to get my son one for Christmas for sure, he's an inside guy but always looks for something stylish to wear.

What I really like about this heated jacket from the Milwaukee range. The battery sits more on the hip rather than at the back, which used to cause some annoyance when sitting down. The zipper is first class and sturdy. The inner jacket wears well and fits well and is made using excellent materials plus it has two pockets that zip up, albeit that one is used to hold the battery. The outer jacket has a hood and also the zipper which in the same high class as the inner jacket. The only thing that I believe can and should addressed are the two pockets in the outer shell. They are not zippered and twice now I fortunately noticed my attachable camera lens that was on the ground having slipped out of the unzippered pocket whilst I was laying on the ground taking photos of bears before they go to bed for the winter. Yes, my fault entirely but a zipped pocket would have been ideal. We all would like the batteries for this jacket to be the same power output but they are not. On a fully charged M12 battery, it lasted 45 minutes on high and yet the other one of the same was still on high at almost 2 hours. My third one an hour and 20 minutes and yes, they were all brand-new Milwaukee batteries. So, summing up, these two jackets of the same set are superb and are worth their cost. Any more gripes/ Only one and that is the small box that supplied with this kit was empty. No charger for the outlet and no USB cable.

I haven't had a chance to try this jacket out in truly cold conditions yet, but I have no doubt that it will perform as it should. The heated inner lining and the outer shell can both be worn separately, and are both quite warm by themselves. I've owned a number of jackets with removable liners over the years, and this one is by far the easiest to put together and take apart. It uses a regular Milwaukee 12v battery, so you can use the small charger that comes with the jacket or the same one you use for your tool batteries if you've already got one.

Let's get the cons out of the way first. For me, the directions weren't that easy to follow as far as operating the different modes on the fleece. This is my first Milwaukee jacket so this may just be me. The second is battery life. On low and medium settings, mostly low you can run this jacket all day. But not on high. The battery doesn't last the entire day. Now with the pros. Wow! This jacket is amazing. Its warm even with the battery on. Both the insert and the outer layer. The insert has 3 different setting: high, medium, and low. It also has duel heat which warms your shoulders. I'm in love this jacket. Its getting cold around here and I will definitely be wearing it. The outer layer has a slit that allows you to control the insert controls from the outside. The outer is also weatherproof. Built to last. One recommendation is that the insert have a hood. That would definitely help. The packaging was also very well done. Outstanding!

I've been looking at these types of jackets for a while now and finally saw one that I really liked. I couldn't wait until I got this one shipped to me. This is the perfect kit that can be used in the cool of the spring and fall and cold of the winter. Ive been wearing the inner jacket in these cool Ohio temps and the heater is great. The thing that surprised me is that the heating coils are only on the shoulder areas. I was a little disappointed until I realized that it was more than enough heat for me, even at the low setting. Im curious to see how warm it will be in the winter months when the temps are much lower. There is also an inner zip pocket along the left side of the jacket that fits a cellphone or wallet perfectly. The outer jacket is made of strong fabric that should hold up while working in the elements. The outer jacket has a hood with a drawstring and an access pocket on the left side that lets you get to the battery. I'm about 5'10 and about 210lbs, so I wasn't sure what size would work for me, but I ordered the 2XL just to be safe. The inner jacket fits fine, but the outer jacket is a little long for my preference, but doesn't hinder anything that I need to do. The battery adds a bit of bulk on the left side but isn't overbearing. According to the manual, you can buy an adapter that will allow you to use M18 batteries which are much larger, but will give you longer usage. Im contemplating buying the adapter, but will wait until winter to see how much life out of the included battery. All in all, I really like this jacket and think Milwaukee hit the mark with it. I got the heated gloves last year so I am looking forward to pairing them with the jacket this winter. Milwaukee is really putting out some quality products lately, so much so that when im looking to purchase tools, they are now the first brand that I consider. If you get this jacket, im certain you wont be disappointed.

This kit comes with two jackets (a heated Axis jacket and Gridiron outer shell jacket), a M12 battery, USB charging cable and block and the M12 battery holder that powers the battery. One thing that's confusing is that Milwaukee has another jacket called GRIDIRON but it is a totally different jacket. It could also be used as an outer layer over the Axis jacket but it doesn't apear to have access to the inner heating controls or battery or even a hood. Gridiron is just what they call they're version of ripstop polyester. I've had the inner Axis quilted jacket for over a year now. It quickly became my favorite winter jacket and I do own 2 other heated jackets. I do a lot of walking and hiking but in the winter it usually tapers off because I hate the cold. The Axis jacket helps keep me warm. I've been out in temperatures below 19 degF walking for a couple of hours using the Axis jacket with a fleece underneath and a long sleeve base layer was all I needed along with the heat on the high setting. I also do some trail running in the jacket. It's thin and manueverable enough for that and the battery doesn't bounce too much. The outer shell of the Axis heated jacket isn't as durable though. It's not flimsy, I've been through some tight, heavy brush and thorns without any damage but it did get a tear once when I snagged it on a metal protrusion when I wasn't being that careful. The Gridiron outer shell that's part of this kit helps in that regard by adding a tougher layer over the heated Axis jacket. The outer shell isn't heated but it does provide some insulation and can be used on it's own in milder weather. In addition to adding a tougher shell it also adds more water resistance, a hood that can fit over a hard hat and about another inch of length. The hood has a little bit of insulation too for added warmth. The Axis jacket can be zipped up into the Gridiron shell or you can just wear it as a seperate layer. There are buttoned strapes that attach to loops on the Axis jacket as well as zippers to connect the two. Both work well but I think I prefer having it as two seperate layers so I can take one off when not needed. Plus since the heating elements are in the Axis Jacket I like closing it up as much as possible to keep the warm air more sealed in. There's a hole that allows your finger to axes the heat controls of the inner jacket whether it's zipped in to the outer jacket or not. There's also a velcro closed opening on the back to reach the battery compartment. The M12 battery will last about 2 hours on high. Unless it's very cold I don't run the battery all the time or at least not always on high. If I out walking or working my body heat will help keep me warm but the battery makes those first 10 minutes or so before building up heat more tolerable. The heating elements are like an invisible layer you can add when you need it and turn off when you don't. The new M12 battery holder is much nicer than the old versions. You don't need a seperate M12 charger, you can just charge the battery with the battery holder and the included USB cable and charging block. In the summer I use the battery holder and M12 batteries as a phone charger when I go on long hikes or camping trips. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the chest pockets on the outer jacket. They're open on top with no zipper or flap covering the opening. If you have something bulky in them and it's raining water can get in.

This is the best Milwaukee jacket/coat combo I’ve owned and I really like my other Milwaukee heated jackets so this is saying a lot. With this jacket layering system you can wear the heated jacked, or the outer shell, or wear both together for serious weather. This kit includes an Axis Heated jacket, a Gridiron Work Shell (with attached hood), 2.0 Ah battery, M12 power source, and a charger with USB cord. My observations of the Gridiron Work Shell: • The overall quality of the coat is top notch. I’ve inspected it thoroughly and it’s clear that time and effort was put into each area and the overall sizing. The zippers are heavy duty and should last years and years. The stitching is heavy duty and I couldn’t find any weak points anywhere on the outer shell. • I typically wear a ‘Large’ coat and sometimes XL. I’m 6’2” and have long arms, which for me creates issues for me with many coats. This ‘Large’ coat fits me perfectly and completely covers my arms with room to spare. • The outer shell is durable with flex points in the right areas. It also has several areas that are reinforced for maximum wear. • The outer shell has pass through holes to get to the battery and on/off buttons on the heated jacket. • It has a nice appearance and you could wear this obviously to work and just about anywhere else and you will look nice and fashionable. • I do wish it had a zippered pocket somewhere on the shell for times that I only wear the shell. Yes, it’s a small thing but handy to secure a wallet etc. • The hood is nice and adjustable. • This shell is great with or without the Axis heated jacket. My observations of the Heated Jacket: • It has 3 heat settings with separate controls for the chest/back and the shoulders. I typically get 1.5-2 hours of heat on high and about 7 to 8 hours on low with one button pushed and about 4-5 hours with both buttons pushed. Most won’t run their jacket on High for long since it generates (in my opinion) more than enough heat. • When turned on I felt heat within 15 seconds and strong heat within 30 seconds. The heat felt pretty even to me between my back, chest, and shoulders. • The waist is adjustable to get that custom fit. • There are several zipped pockets (one on the inside of the jacket also) for better protection of valuables. • It’s comfortable and looks great wearing it by itself and plenty warm even without the battery. • The battery sits on your lower left side. I have no issues driving my truck or sitting on chairs with the battery installed. Both jackets fit together with a zipper and hooks to create a coat/jacket layered combo that can withstand extreme weather conditions. As a side note, the power source has dual uses. Of course, the battery fits into the source to power the jacket, however you can also use it to charge cell phones, etc. It also has a fuel meter to keep an eye on the charge. This jacket combo is the best I’ve owned. I’ve already received several positive comments while wearing it and I like how it looks and feels. I really can’t recommend this enough.

A well thought-out system of three pieces: the outer jacket, the inner jacket, and the power pack. The outer jacket is made from tough material for long wear. The inner jacket is softer, and could be worn alone as a sweater. This gives you three options right off the bat - inner, outer, or both if it is really cold. Sizing is generous, the XL is a little big on me, even with my long arms, but that's better than a little small. Both pieces have pockets all over, and the outer one has a slash on one side to reach in to the inner one. The whole thing is very lightweight. The battery is fairly small, and fits in a pocket on the inner jacket near your left kidney. For me, there is plenty of slack to move the lump out of the way when sitting in a car seat. There is room enough in the pocket for the compact USB charger and cable, so might as well keep them in there as well. The controls are on the upper-left chest of the inner jacket. Either there are no instructions, or I missed them while unpacking; I couldn't find any online either. The only instructions I could find are the video on the website. At any rate, it is all very simple - 3 settings and 2 zones, the buttons are press-and-hold. I can feel the heat, but I can't say how effective it is because it is 80 degrees outside, and I need to get this review done in a timely manner. As Henry Ford said: "You can have any color you want, as long as it's black."

This might be the nicest Milwaukee thing I have out of a large collection of Milwaukee products. I’m ready to meat winter head on now. Unfortunately the record highs here in the southeast just dropped off yesterday (yes, 95+ in October or Julytober if you will) so now we are just starting to get into that nice cool that feels more like football season. And that is where this comes in. Sitting in the cold is a lot worse than working in the cold. When you are exerting yourself you can get by with less. So this is wonderful for sitting in the cold windy stands during the late season cold weather playoff games. The lined approach is nice since you can just swap shells if you are still in the rainy season. I picked up an extra M12 battery and I already had a number of the big chargers so I don’t need the small charger it came with but that is a convenient way to charge it if you don’t have a big rapid charger. I’ve been impressed with the Milwaukee battery technology and am looking forward to the cold so I can really see how this thing performs. I figure 2 batteries will get through a long game and including some overtime if needed. I’ve already been using the M12 battery in a spotlight I bought and I’ve been going on the same charge for weeks of intermittent use. So I have good expectations on battery life. Even without the heating this thing is super warm. The way the battery stores in the inner shell is nice and in a good spot. The controls are simple and can be operated with gloves on. So, yep I’m warming up nicely to this one. Can’t beat it with a cold stick. The hood is well made and does not fall in your face like some. It's very comfortable all around. And the material and zippers are all nice and heavy. No junky little zippers that cannot stand up to use here. Butt the whole thing is not so heacy as to weight you down. It's a very well thought out design. If it was in camo I would say it is perfect for sitting in a tree stand but I'm not sure you shuld be this comfortable when hunting. You'd have a tendency to just doze off. (well I would)

Simply amazing. It's not quite winter in New York yet, but I'm looking forward to it now! This jacket comes in two parts, meaning two distinct garments which are meant to be worn one over the other. There is the inner heated part and the "shell". The heated part has a pocket around the side/back (see photo) into which you install the battery, plugging it into a short cable. It also comes with the charger - simply unplug the battery from the jacket and plug it into the charger. There are controls on the front of the heated jacket to turn on or off the heating zones, and also to adjust the temperature between three levels of low, medium and high. The controls will illuminate in red, white or blue to indicate the current mode and heat level. Using a laser infrared thermometer, I found that within two minutes of switching the jacket on, the interior heated area reached about 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so I'm counting on some serious comfort in the colder months! Aside from the heating function I am very impressed with the overall quality of the jacket. It's a quality garment made of rugged but flexible materials (to make it easy to move around in). It's also a really nice looking jacket. It fits nicely and is actually pretty sharp looking!

The fabric is really nice, the sizing is good - I'm 6' and 180 lbs and the medium fit without being baggy. A little snug with just a t-shirt on underneath. The jacket uses the same M12 battery as the tools, which is nice for compatibility, but it is really bulky to have in your pocket. It comes with an adapter for the M12 battery that also lets you plug in and charge USB devices. The booklet that came with it says an M18 adapter is also available (but apparently not included). I was a little confused about what the 3-in-1 jacket did. Only the inner layer is heated. The outer shell is weatherproof, but not heated. I had the impression (my mistake) that the outer shell would be heated for rainy days when you may not want the inner part. I really have the impression that only the shoulder area was being heated. I even asked my daughter to try it on and she had the same impression. Then I got out the thermal camera (doesn't everyone have one? ;-) ) and it really seems like the shoulders are getting almost all the heat - The picture is taken on high (the red light was on). The outer shell has slits on the chest and back so you can reach in and control the hi-med-low-off switch and to access the battery pack As for drawbacks - I think the outer shell should have zipper pockets to secure things like tools and keys and not open pockets.

This set comes with both outer shell and inner shell. The battery pack goes inside the inner shell. My husband will be using this while plowing snow this winter. Our tractor does not have a cab so he needed something to keep him warm in below zero weather. I plan on purchasing the rain shell to keep him dry also. I would recommend this to anyone that lives where it gets below zero.

Another great entry into Milwaukee's heated wear lineup. This kit comes with everything you would need, you get the heated axis jacket, the gridiron workshell, 2.0Ah battery and charger that also functions that the connection point to charge the axis jacket. the charger can also be used to charger your cell phone which is another great bonus point to this jacket. plus the 2.0 Ah battery gives you plenty of run time with the jacket, up to 8 hours if fully charged. The axis jacket is super nice and comfort to wear. The heating zones for this jacket include the chest, back, and shoulders which are super nice but would have liked some heating zones in the arm area. The jacket has 3 heat settings like most of the heated lineup of clothes with the levels indicated by a blue, white or red light. The axis jacket is both wind and water resistant which is super nice and does a really good job so if you weren't on a job site you could just use the axis jacket and not use the workshell. The axis jacket is also washer and dryer safe so added bonus to make cleaning easy. Overall the axis jacket is pretty great the only downside to the jacket is the battery pack that is kind of bulky and towards the back, Would have been great if the battery pack was better placed or could have been slightly smaller but just a minor downside. The Gridiron workshell is a pretty impressive jacket on its own that provides plenty of warmth. Clearly this jacket is very durable and well made and will last up on the job site. You could probably just wear this workshell and be plenty warm on the jobsite. The outer shell also isn't that bulky which is super nice and very easy to move in. Overall a great item by Milwaukee. Overall I would say this is an awesome jacket kit that I would definitely recommend if you live in cold climate and are working outside frequently. The axis jacket and workshell will definitely keep you warm in the coldest of conditions.

Milwaukee's heated jackets are fantastic. This is my second heated jacket from Milwaukee. I selected this jacket because of the hood. It comes with an inner quilted jacket and an outer shell with the hood. I would have preferred the hood be in the inner jacket. Just the inner jacket is heated, so you have to wear both to get the benefit of heat and a hood. As with their other heated jackets, the heat zones can be set to high, medium, or low. In addition, it's run by an M12 battery pack. This battery is also used with some Milwaukee hand tools. An adapter is included to connect the jacket to the M12 battery. Unfortunately, the battery set up adds some weight to the coat. A smaller, lighter adapter would be a good design change. The sizes run true to size. My first jacket is an XL, which can be a bit snug over bulky winter clothes. I selected a 2XL this time and expect it to fit much better this winter.

It is still very hot here in Georgia but I am preparing for a cold winter and am impressed with this heated jacket system by Milwaukee. I am very active outside in the cold winter months and have been considering a heated jacket ever since I saw one of my contractors with one. This is actually two coats-in-one as it comes with an outer wind and water resistance jacket for inclement weather along with the inner main jacket with the heating elements integrated into it. The battery pack fits inside a zippered compartment and can be controlled to three heat settings. I tested it inside my air conditioned home and it heats up pretty quick. Everything about this coat is quality made. It comes with two coats (inner and outer), battery pack, wall charger, and charging cord. One feature that I really like is how lightweight the jacket is so I can wear it in mild temps and activate the heat in very cold temps. I plan on purchasing a spare battery for long periods outside. I’m ready for winter!!

I was hesitant about this jacket as I was concerned with the wires and would it be uncomfortable to wear. My fears were unfounded as this is a very comfortable jacket for work or play. This is a complete package and comes with the battery and charger and has 3 different comfort level settings. It would be great for football games or any outside event in cold or wet conditions.

Love this jacket, the only down side is I am not sure I will ever get to ware it again as I have a feeling that my wife and daughter may confiscate this from me when it gets cold out. This jacket is very well constructed and the fact it comes apart is perfect, often I start with it being cold out then the weather warms up a bit I now have options, light heated jacket, heavier jacket or a combination of both giving me a nice and heavy heated jacket should the weather change. When I first got it I thought the battery was in a bad spot and it would be uncomfortable when driving, in reality the battery is in a perfect location, it sits just to the left of my kidneys and not pressing into them. A pleasant surprise for sure. There are some really nice features that allow the jackets to be coupled together so the sleeves do not pull out when taking the jacket off. Although the access through the outer jacket to control the heat settings is a bit small, you will not be able to access it with a glove on there is access. There are two heating locations that are each controlled with three heat settings Red, White, Blue. Also a nice feature is you do not need to disassemble the jackets to get access to the battery compartment. Overall great jacket and goes well with my heated gloves also from Milwaukee. Always better to go up a larger size then you would expect allows extra room and if you need a sweater for those days that start off really cold and warm up by the afternoon.

This is an interesting winter wear coat. It comes neatly boxed and the inner and outer jacket is sealed in plastic. Keep in mind the small box containing the ion battery and charge cord accessories are separate from the actual charger stuffed inside one of the coat pockets. ION battery was partially charged and took less than half hour to fully charge. Once connected to the jacket you touch a small patch on the outer jacket to low, med and high. No doubt even without the electric warmer system the jacket feels very rugged and tuff and warm. Hardly wait for a cold day to test it outdoors in minus degree temps. The perfect coat for work or the chore of snowblowing.

I am ready for cold weather now that my Milwaukee Axis heated jacket has arrived. I also got the gridiron outer shell. The heated jacket is light weight and can be worn alone, or with the gridiron or hydrobreak outer shell. The set came with a 2.0 ah battery and a combo charger/power source to run the jacket, charge my phone and M12 batteries. It's a very clever setup. The heated jacket has 2 separately controlled heat zones and 3 heat settings each. It is very simple! to operate.

This is a high quality jacket combo kit. Exactly the quality you'd expect from the Milwaukee brand. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the materials and the attention to detail that went into the design of this product. Based on their sizing chart, I ordered a size small. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't be big enough for me because I'm about 6'1" tall, but was pleasantly surprised that both the heated jacket and the work shell fit very well. They almost felt like they were fitted just for me! Being a bit taller than the average customer that orders a size small, I did notice that the heated jacket was a little on the shorter size for me, but the Gridiron work shell is a bit longer and fit extremely well. The materials appear to be high quality and durable as well. The Gridiron work shell even has a double zipper AND buttons to seal it closed and prevent air from leaking in. I probably won't be using both the zippers and the buttons very often, because it is quite a bit more difficult to get into and out of this way, but it's nice to have for those situations that require it! The heating elements in the heated jacket heat up very quickly, but never got too hot. The first time I turned them on I set a timer to see how long it would take for me to feel the heat, and soon realized that was not necessary. After only 4-5 seconds I could already feel the heat. The jacket has two different heating options. The first setting activates the heating elements located on the front chest and upper back. The second setting activates the heating elements located on the shoulders. To activate these you just have to press and hold the buttons on the left side of the chest for 1-2 seconds and the light will illuminate. Then, you can cycle through the temperature settings by pressing the buttons. To shut off, simply hold the buttons for 1-2 seconds and the light will turn off. My only complaint with this system is that there is no feedback to know which heat intensity setting you are currently set to. It is easy to cycle through the settings, but there is no way to know if the current setting is minimum, moderate, or maximum heat. In fact, I don't even know how many settings there are! Overall, I'd recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a work jacket that can hold up to the temperatures. Both of these jackets are very well insulated by themselves, and the heating elements allow them to endure even colder temperatures.

I am very impressed with the quality and design of this heated jacket. I have tested it out to see if and how it heats up (which it does!), but I'm actually looking forward to wearing it in the cold this winter. It heats up in the back between the shoulder blades and in the front on both sides of the chest wall. The jacket is a 2 piece system, where the inside vest carries the heat and the outside jacket (which zips to the vest) is designed, I think, to keep the heat in. The outside jacket has a hood as well and closes tight at the wrists and the hood. The jacket has several great features where you can carry other things. You can also charge other items off the battery pack in the jacket. The on/off buttons are easily accessed through the jacket at chest level and offer 3 temp. control levels. I have to spend extended lengths of time outside in the cold and I am so looking forward to this jacket this year!
