I’ve had my tape measure for over 2 years and never had an issue with it. Sure it doesn’t reach 15’ but it does extend out pretty long. Longer than I would never need for a tape measure this size. If I want to go any further, I would had gotten a wider tape measure. This one is perfect for home use. Mine does have a little twist around 2’ but that was my fault. I’m actually about to buy another one for work. I love the stop at the bottom and magnet is strong.

Really the tape is pretty weak it rolls to the side very easy making your extension of it a foot. Would expect more from Milwaukee. Just as well buy a cheap tape measure. Theres no way you are getting 15’ reach!

My tape wont retract any longer. I loved it until it didnt love me anymore.

I recieved this tape messure and after a couple of times of using it. The tape messure starts shaking forcefully to the point where if this keeps up its going to get jammed… How do I get this replaced or maybe eveb a refund if it continues?

this was a great tape measure then the tip broke with no noticeable crack or fatigue less than one year after manufacture date

Had this tape measure for over a year now as a homeowner and it has already tore in half. I can't imagine how these could hold up to professional use.

Claimed to have a 15 foot reach but it snapped at roughly 138 inches (11.5 feet). Has nice, big and legible numbers slightly larger than the Komelon Powerblade II. It of course is compact and lighter than my 35ft Komelon Powerblade II but the Milwaukee's blade just seems a bit flimsier than my Powerblade. The Milwaukee has a neat little finger stop opening at the bottom. Solid tape I guess. Should get a blade improvement.

The magnet end is nice but the recoil broke in a couple months. It doesn’t get used that much as a mechanic

Tape feels heavy duty. Has a nice magnetic end to it that works until it’s picked up all the metal shavings from my tool bag. Biggest problem is it shearing off at the 6 1/4” mark! Near cuts your hand every time your able to get it open and forget it’s the one split.

The tape broke at the 8" mark, seems Milwaukee quality has really gone down hill. I used to be proud of owning this brand, and didn't mind paying extra for the quality, however I see those days are over, I also paid good money for a cordless sawzall (18v fuel) it lasted 3mos until the variable speed trigger took a dump, again poor quality parts! I'm not risking another purchase of Milwaukee tools I'm better off spending less cuz the quality has gone.

Very thin tape. Numbers are good if you’re blind. Forget the 15’ Standout, it barely stands out 2ft. After that turns into a bent spiral.

The reach is what it’s advertised as , overall good tape

I'm a huge fan of Milwaukee tools. I bought this tape to replace my Milwaukee auto lock (which sadly hasn't auto locked in quite some time). I'm a DIYer remodeling a small bathroom. I get this out of the packaging and within the first few uses the magnet has already broken off. Very disappointed.

Homeowner, not a contractor. Like the feel, magnetic end, large numbers. Felt this would last longer. Developed a tear in the tape that causes it to jam every time I try to pull it out. Love Milwaukee and don’t buy anything else……tapes are another story. If I was a contractor and used daily this certainly wouldn’t cut the mustard.

I purchased a twin pack of the 25" magnetic 48-22-0325 tape last December. I have used this to re-stud a house, hang sheet rock and replace floor joist. The tape blade curls when extended and is impossible top use without two people or connecting one end to something before extending. both tapes do the same thing.. seems defective also, belt clip is so stiff cannot get it to clip around by belt or paints without using two hands

As others had remarked in the reviews, the magnetic option on this tape measure is a favorable feature, and also, that it is a Milwaukee make known for its quality of tools, I had expected a durable construction giving it's Lifetime Guarantee. It's a heavy duty tape for sure and a comfort to hold in the hand being it's outer soft rubber coating . The clip on the back is heavy duty and the readout on the tape itself is wide with large numbers and indicators. I would like to see smaller increments on the readout but it's not really and issue for me. The problem I had was the cracking at the 9" mark. When retracting, the split caught and cracked more. I had to apply some clear Scotch tape over the crack to keep it from catching and further damaging the tape measure. I was able to contact Milwaukee Customer Support and as a one time consideration they replaced the Tape Measure. Thank You!

It’s a great handheld size but there is a misprint on the tape that makes it 1/4 off after 50 inches so i cant use it

I use this tape measure primarily to measure window and door opening for a window company. I use it hundreds of times a day. The only disappointment is that when you I extent out past 6’ the tape twists. Other than that I love it.

The tape worked well several months, until it broke. I would keep it well lubricated to avoid rust. The side has become a very sharp. They almost cut my finger. Now it gets stuck and it cannot retract.

I use a tape for woodworking, usually less than 12 feet. I bought a 25 foot one when my ancient Stanley broke. Within a few days it struggled to retract, even a few feet. Now I must force it back into the case. Currently sitting in my work cabinet drawer.

Tape portion cracked after a few months. Got caught during retraction and snapped the last 7'' off. This tape was gently used and well taken care of. I love Milwaukee - but if you need a tape measure ... look for a different model.

I purchased this tape to replace my old 25' fatmax; I'm an assistant commercial contractor and am often tasked with taking detailed measurements. I've barely used this guy--maybe only a few 30' span measurements over the past couple months. Just today was jotting some short measurements down (max 64''--barely extended) and it became difficult to retract. I thought maybe a small rock or died-up wad of caulking had gotten in the thing so I fully extended it and ran a cloth along it... NO LUCK. Now the retraction is worse; I think the problem has something to do with the spring. With great effort I got all but the last 4' or 5' rammed back into the thing--I taped the rest around it. It's my first Milwaukee tape--leaves me disappointed in the product and brand.

It was great at first, then after a couple months the clear "reinforcement" by the head separated and the blade would begin to twist so that the standout would only reach 6' max. Now after the blade snapped back, it broke off at around the 5" mark. Too bad.....I really liked that tape at first, I just can't trust it working in quality control of a construction company where my tape measure is my most important tool!

I've had this tape measure for about a year though use it very little. So it's wear should be "new". I was about to measure the floor and it snapped at about 6.25". The rest of the tape reeled back in to where I couldn't get it back out.

Love the features. Magnet and markings top & bottom very useful. After plowing through cheap off brands I thought I was purchasing a lifetime tape. Unfortunately it stopped retracting within the first 90 days of use.

Loved this tape for the month I had it then it snapped off at the 6in mark. Now it’s just a red paper weight. So disappointed.

the website said that it was a 15' standout but the package only says 12' reach. the model number on the website and the package were the same. false advertisement.

Pro: Accidentally pulled tape out to the max and it pulled back in with no issues. The spring continued to reel in the tape without issue. Pro: Large, easy to read numbers that do not interfere with the 8th and 16th markings. Pro: The finger stop under the tape is convenient. Pro: Rugged body construction takes high drops and rough handling well. Pro: The wire belt clip is very strong. Con: The tape itself is very thin. On first use it twisted and wrinkled about the 10" mark causing a perminant twist which makes hooking the end of the tape on something to pull for measurements almost impossible. Con: Only about 5' of standout before tape breaks. Conclusions: I would not recommend this tape measure for anything but light use, however there are enough good points that I will buy a different model and see how it works.

The Milwaukee Magnetic 25ft measuring tape snapped at the 8" mark after a few uses. Ridiculous.

I like so many others have had the tape tear. Not only that it has cut me badly twice. The first is on Milwaukee the second time is on me. I have two of the tape measures and both have torn.
