Plastic broke too easy
Love the light but the plastic broke that holds the battery to the strap. No replacement parts available is what is disappointing.

    Not very durable
I purchased this light a few months ago, within 2 months, the plastic holding the LED to the strap broke, I hear it is a common problem with this product. I liked it otherwise, now the LED part flaps around

      Useless hard hat decor.
Junk junk junk. Extremely disappointing for a fairly expensive tool. Bought mine about a month ago, had to Jerry-rig it to even fit my full brim hard hat (battery cord is way too short). Went a week with out using it, dead, charged it for a full day, still dead, battery light flashing red. Won’t hold a charge. Going to put it in my garage disposal.

        Stay away, R&D/quality control failure
Cord for remote battery is too short to work with hard hats. Not sure how this got past research and development and to the sales floor. Doesn't even work with Milwaukee's own hard hat or helmet.

Simple, I have spent more time hooking the battery to the strap, than using the light.

Really like the light but don't know how much longer I can rely on it. The cord entering the battery compartment is starting to pull out and the clip holding the battery compartment to the strap cracked and I had to tape it on. Supposedly the light has a limited lifetime warranty but I have hit a dead end with warranty centers. Milwaukee - can you help me out?

This light is not worth the money in my opinion. It is bright but with no focal point, it is not good for distances. I always recommend Milwaukee, but not this light.

              Outstanding!
After I purchased the 2111-21 model I didn’t think Milwaukee could top off such a great, rechargeable headlamp, but they did with this one. Only had it for a day and I love it. Not the biggest fan of the the huge battery I have to carry on the back of my head, but for that many lumens/brightness I can live with it. Plus the front part is so slim and small, it makes up for it. You did it again Milwaukee.

Does not work on full brim hardhat
I bought this light and tried mounting it on my full brim hard hat but the head band would not stretch enough and the wire harness from the battery pack to the light was too short. I bought a Milwaukee full brim hat hoping it would work better but it also didn’t work properly. I had to modify the light to make it mount on the hardhat.

I've been wanting a headlamp for a long time. This one works like a charm. I do not use it with a hard hat since I do not have to work in a dangerous site or anything like that. The headlamp stays on my head really well; not feeling loose and such. The battery on the back also helps to balance the lamp quite well. It's heavier than the lamp itself, but I don't feel any pulling forward/backward. There are 4 brightness levels; the dimmest is usable and the brightest level can blind me if I look at it directly. It's brighter than my 100 watt equivalent LED light bulb.

Works fine without a hardhat. The only problem will be hiding it from your "friends" that want to "borrow" it! Rechargeable using a micro-USB connector, and comes with a very heavy duty looking USB cable for charging. The head lamp has clips to attach it to a hard hat, but it also works fine without the clips directly on your head. I used it on my head (no hardhat) without the clips. The top strap is removable if you don't want to use it. The battery is in the "lump" at the rear of the light. The light can change tilt so you can adjust it to be pointing down or straight ahead. It does not change focus. The run time is pretty amazing - supposedly 25 hours on the lowest (eco) setting. Down to 2 hours on the very bright (600 lumen) setting. I think the feature I liked best is that it has a separate on-off switch and a hi-med-med low-low switch, so you don't have to cycle through all the choices like many of these things do (and then I always miss the setting I want!).

The MILWAUKEE 600 LUMENS LED USB RECHARGEABLE LOW-PROFILE HARD HAT HEADLAMP is a terrific product that solves the battery issue once and for all! I LOVE the idea that this is USB RECHARGEABLE which ELIMINATES the need for batteries and one charge will last a long time. I actually keep this near my nightstand because the power goes out on a regular basis and I love knowing that the headlamp is ready to roll at a moment's notice. The different light settings and the adjustable strap means you can use this headlamp WITHOUT a hard hat which is another plus.

I have been a builder remodeler for 49 years, and as such I have many opportunities to use a tool like this MILWAUKEE 600 LUMENS LED USB RECHARGEABLE LOW-PROFILE HARD HAT HEADLAMP, BLACKS. Anyone in the trades using a hard hat, or even in need of a headlamp, will find that this headlamp works very well, providing high illumination of their work. Also, no batteries to replace, it’s rechargeable!

This is one of the best rechargeable headlamps out there. It is very bright and the battery really does last a long time. The light has 4 different brightness levels. The only negative is that I can't get it to mount to my bike helmet. I received this MILWAUKEE 600 LUMENS LED USB RECHARGEABLE LOW-PROFILE HARD HAT HEADLAMP, BLACKS for free to write this review.

The MILWAUKEE 600 LUMENS LED USB RECHARGABLE LOW-PROFILE HARD HAT HEADLAMP works very well. The light has 4 settings from 25 lumens to 600 LUMENS. With run times of 2 hrs to 25 hrs. The headlamp comes with a charger cord and 4 hard hat clips included in the package. The light has a wide flood pattern so it lights up the area very well. Very nice light.

This is a review of the Milwaukee 600 Lumens LED USB Rechargeable Low-Profile Hard Hat Headlamp. I really like this lamp so far. I have the older model from Milwaukee and the two lights are really different. What I like better about this one is that it is a little more comfortable to wear with the battery in the back. The weight of the other one wasn't awful, but it was noticeable, and this one I don't feel at all. I also like less modes in the new one. The new unit has four levels of brightness, and it remembers which one it was set at after you turn the light off. Really nice. It probably only needs two modes, since the lowest two settings are really dim. It illuminates a really nice angle of about 140 degrees. On full brightness you can clearly see over 20 feet away. The only thing I don't care for on the light, is that the power button is really tiny. Good luck turning that on while wearing gloves.

I've been very happy with this headlamp. It can be used with a hard hat, but I've been using it without one and haven't encountered any problems. I love that it's rechargeable and and lasts a long time; I charged it when I got it and it hasn't needed to be charged since. The light clicks in place and stays where you adjust it, unlike cheaper headlamps I've used. There are three levels of brightness. I've just left it on the brightest and it's been great. Like all the Milwaukee stuff I've used, it's a little expensive, but well worth the extra cost.

The headlamp lost a star from me because I tried 3 different style helmets and I could not get the headlamp to stay put. I would have given it a lower rating but I still found them very useful. I was doing some overhead work on a joist and I had to remove the lamp, as my googles and headlamp did not play nice together .There was a nail in the joist and I was able to hang the lamp from the nail. There is a dedicated power button, as well as a brightness button, I like having thr ability to shut it off with one push as oppose to cycling through. The battery indicator is on the battyer which is near the back, you can lock and unlock the battery if you have to swap it, you can charge it via a micro usb cable. The power indicator comes on when you first turn on the lamp and will stay on for 3 seconds. It will either be green, amber, or red. This comes with clips for the helmet but I did not use them for fear of losing them when I took the lamp off. Overall a good product that can use a better system of securing the lamp in place, maybe using velcro. The lamp is rotatable and it does not over rotate downwards, this prevents it from shining directly into your eyes.

This is a great headlamp for work, repair, or home projects. I just used it while fixing a problem with the dishwasher drain pipe under my sink, and it worked great. Having the battery in the back and the LED light in the front helps to balance the headlamp. It is comfortable to wear and is relatively light weight--it doesn't feel heavy or bulky on my head. The slim light in front makes it easier to work in tight spaces without bumping the headlamp. One of the first things I noticed about this headlamp is the beam. It produces very wide, almost perfectly even light. It doesn't have a visible round "beam" and doesn't even appear to have a 'hot spot' in the middle. It's surprisingly even. Standing about 6 feet away from a wall, it lights up the entire 8' tall wall, from floor to ceiling. This looked really strange at first, as nearly every other headlamp I've used has a focused beam of light. The very wide beam seemed odd at first, but after using this under my sink, I love it. The headlamp lit up the entire cabinet under my sink and I was able to see everything very well, and even take photos of the problem without needing a flash. It doesn't produce an overly bright 'hot spot', and the even light makes it easier to take cell phone photos while working--something that can be difficult with a tight beam light. The headband is fairly easy to adjust, fits well, and is comfortable. The light angle can be adjusted downward to point the light downwards. It has a dedicated on/off power button, and has a separate brightness button that lets you switch between 4 brightness levels. I really like the Milwaukee "Red Lithium USB" battery used by this headlamp. It looks like an 18650 Li-Ion cell in a tough plastic case, and the nice part is that you can recharge it by connecting the headlamp to a micro-USB charging cable. This is much more convenient than the bare 18650 cells that I have to recharge in a dedicated charger. I can charge the headlamp in my car with my cell phone charger, or charge it with a USB power bank. This is a great work headlamp.

Had it for two weeks when light stopped working. More hassle than it was worth to make a warranty claim.
