Because of the width, I was able to install this gate at the top of a staircase of a mid-century post & beam "ranch" house built into a hillside. I did have to bodge a post extension & zip tie it to the newel for the latch side because it is taller than the railing. I was able to easily remove the spring latch before installation, so that my aging mother can lift & swing it out over the slate without fiddling with the spring latch. It fits, it works, and will keep my aging father from falling down the stairs again. There are no small children in the house.

Works well, just what we wanted as expected

Gate is sturdy and high- prevents my toddler and dog from getting where they shouldn’t. A vast improvement from the pressure gates!

I would not recommend this product as it does not have a walk through gate so you have to swing open the entire gate to walk through and if you are leaving it open it will block more than 3 feet of space and in my case that is the entire hallway.

Easy to install, Lots of adjustability, and when my son hung from the gate opened at 90 degrees and broke the hardware the company sent me the parts I needed with no questions asked just a picture of the serial #. Awesome Product and customer service!

The height is great for the top of our stairs! Wish it was a little easier to open/close, but safety is important.

perfect for the top of my steep stairs! I wanted something that was anchored to the wall, sturdy & didn't have a small section you had to walk thru. It is the perfect safety swing gate.
