I wish The Home Depot still carried it.
It is too bad The Home Depot no longers carries this tool cabinet I have had it for several years, and it is still working well. I don't keep a lot in it during the winter, but in the warmer weather I keep an assortment of cordless tools in it. Here is my original review from when I first got it: This is a nice tool cart. The finish seams to be durable so far. I haven't scratched it during normal use. The drawers comes with pre-cut liners installed. They open and close easily when full of tools. The locking system works well in testing. I don't plan on using the locks. Assembly is easy if you have two people. Most of it can be done with one person, but you should have a helper for unpacking it, and for lifting the drawer unit into place. The nice part is that it sits on two brackets so you don't have to hold it while bolting it in.There are 4 bolts that are hard to get at, but they are not too bad. I ended up using a wrench to tighten them. The rest I could get at with my 1/4" impact wrench and extension.

UPS delivered the package today that has the toolbox. It came with instructions to put it together. It took about a hour to put it together with the help from my Grandson. I like that all the wheels swivel & two of them have locks on them. The drawers work very smooth with the roller bearings. It has a cool place to store screwdrivers under the top lid of the toolbox. I would have gave it a better rating if the shipping box was made better to protect the 100 pound toolbox.

A great way to take the tools to the work! My most used automotive tools fit in an organized manner into this tool cart---saving me many trips back and forth from the shop to the car. Assembly went quickly and smoothly. The instructions should be improved, but if you are needing an automotive tool cart then you should already have the tools and skills needed to put this thing together. You'd just need someone to help you lift the main box into place. Some of the hardware was loose, but all was present. 12mm and 13mm wrenches/sockets are needed and a 1/4 ratchet and extension will easily get the corner nuts. The "center" hole in the leg is offset to one side---that is the top side. The packaging is insufficient and mild shipping damage was present. A corner of the lid was bent which broke off a small area of the otherwise great looking powder coat. The legs were zip tied inside the box, but they broke loose and put many dents in the top and chipped off some powder coating on the inside. The lock on this cart will not keep out a half-way determined thief. It's more likely intended to keep your wife from stealing your screwdrivers to stir paint (MIL actually did this) or the kids from playing with your alligator clips. At first I was having trouble with the drawers not unlocking properly when raising the lid, but soon realized that it was my fault for not closing them all the way. The cart has functioned flawlessly and smoothly for the past few weeks. The hinges have enough stiffness to them so that the lid will stay open without needing to push them to the locked position---much easier to close that way. The drawer liners are doing a good job of keeping everything from sliding around. The screwdriver area was not well thought out. My larger old acetate Craftsman screwdrivers will keep the lid from shutting. Cushioned gripped screwdrivers don't stand a chance of fitting. 1 inch is way too big of a hole for a screwdriver shaft. It should have been kept to the smaller size of about half an inch with closer spacing. I guess you could stick your ratchets in the big holes. The large casters have worked well and roll smoothly even though they've got about 250 pounds on them now. Their large size makes the transition from concrete to asphalt easy. They also bring the cart to a total height of 38 inches which is GREAT for a work surface. Because the top is a lid it is always clear meaning it's not cluttered. I throw a piece of cardboard on top for small repairs or soldering. When I go to work on a car I throw the piece of cardboard that I'm going to sit/lay on onto the top and use it to transport the jack stands or ramps. I added some reversible modifications to the cart for work lights, extension cord, and shop towels. The bottom shelf is great for holding chemicals or a small air compressor. I put a heavy toolbox full of my less frequently used tools on the bottom. To be honest even though this product is a good product, the listed price of 249 is too high in my opinion. You can find very similar carts (same gauge metal, sizes, weights, etc.) for much less...even from home depot. At the time that this review is being written the cart is on sale for 139. That is a very good and sound investment. I'm even thinking about getting another one. If this cart is used but not abused it should last for many years of service.

Always on the lookout for increased storage space for my tools. This unit is very nice because it has a large (30x16x4) shelf on the bottom and and tool chest with 4 drawers and a tilt open chest area for storage. The chest/drawer area is lockable. All drawers have large ball bearing slides for smooth solid movement. There are 2 drawers @ 2inch deep, and 12in wide. There is also a 3in x 26in and a 4in x 26 wide drawer in the chest area. The top chest area is 4in x 27in x 16in and has a solid metal lid with sturdy metal hinges on both sides for both easy lifting motion and propping the lid open. All of the drawer and tray areas have foam non slip liners included. The unit stands on 4 large, 4in casters that allow it move easily around my garage shop even when fully loaded. Stands at 38 inches high which is a very comfortable working height. I loaded this unit with my car tools so that I can easily move it outside in the nice weather and work on my cars and have most of my tools within hands reach. Very well built unit constructed with solid quality all metal materials that should make this unit last for a very long time.

This is a Professional Quality tool box. This is not a cheap light weight roll around box that can be found at discount store. It took two people to unload it and move to the garage, and again took both of us to assemble it Assembly is not a one-person job. After completing the assembly, we put it right to work by loading tools and materials for work on a car engine. This tool box has several features and each them say "heavy duty". The drawers are smooth operating and has enough height and depth to store a full set of impact sockets standing up. The drawers graduate in height as they go down so that the bottom drawer is deep enough to store power tools. The lid has a friction hinge that stays open even in the wind (preventing accidental drops). I liked the expansive space of the bottom tray, it easily stores large parts or can even house another tool box with drawers. Clearly the wheels are strong enough to handle the extra weight. Final thoughts, it's a very convenient (and heavy-duty) box that can handle a full set of tools yet easy enough to roll around from job to job in your shop. You'll never be able match the quality of this box by purchasing a similar roll around tool box at lower discount stores.

Heavy unit. Rest assured the gauge of sheet is heavier than the competition at the sub $200 price point. Pros: Heavy duty slides. (i included a photo of my Mac economizer professional for reference). I loaded a drawer to near max capacity and it extended smoothly without sag. Its got the industrial feel. drawers shut tight when closed fully. wont "creep" open when on sloped floor. The assembled height of box is taller than competition. heavy gauge lid and internal. large 5" casters. locking works well. cons: assembly is difficult. if you follow instructions like i did, you will surely damage it. the side braces that hold the chest give way and wreck the uprights (see pic). now holes dont align. used a screw driver and clamp to hold joint to assemble the 50 or so carriage bolts. i had to tweak and bend but was it assembled in 2 hours. This is typical for imported manufactured products. . Laying on its back is a better way to assemble. Lesson learned. That said this is a commercial grade toolbox and wont hesitate to load the box with a few hundred pounds. I dont see the lower cost boxes coming close to this quality.

This tool chest arrived a few days ago and I have assembled it as far as I can with needing a friend. This is one heavy, beefy, well built chest. The chest comes with the chest sitting inside the bottom tray and you will need help lifting it out to get started. Instructions, two sets, were in the bottom drawer along with the nuts and bolts. All accounted for, not too many, not too few. The vertical rails and handle were in the top compartment. You may need three hands and some points along the way maybe not. Anyone in need of a very mobile tool chest to wheel around the garage or shop, on what are very large swivel and locking casters, will find this chest the answer to their problem.

The weighs in at 100 lbs and took 2 people to bring it in to the house. It is a very stylish black design with plenty of storage. There is a tray at the bottom which could easily hold a compressor and air tools. The chest is lockable with 4 keys and rolls around on 5 inch wheels flawlessly. The wheels are also lockable. Overall the tool chest is very nice although the instructions as with most things could have been better, clearer. I did a video review which explains more i think it will help. https://youtu.be/G6OoySaAG_Q

This is a really difficult review because this is a great roller cart, very well made, great design, fantastic features, BUT, there are NO instructions. Not only are there no instructions, nothing is labeled up/down, front/back, top/bottom, right/left, nothing. Also, there are no manuals online, and nothing on video. When I received it from the carrier, the nuts and bolts were loose in the box, and there were two different types. Which go where? The middle hole on the legs is not equal distance from the ends, so which way do they go so the cart top fits on correctly and the bolt holes line up with the case? And let me tell you, it's extremely frustrating when you realize you put two on the right way and two upside down and then have to try to figure out which ones are right, and take it apart and put it back together. I learned straight away not to tighten the bolts too securely before moving on. It took me two days to put it together and two trips to the hardware store to get more carriage bolts. I threw out the others and used all carriage bolts because they were easier for me to use. I looked online for other products from this company and saw the same complaint - there are no instructions. Other similar units from other companies all seem to come with instruction manuals, but not these. I really love the finished cart though. Once I got it finished, I was glad I ordered it, and once the baby was born, the pain I remembered no more. My hands and knuckles will heal. If you have put one of these together before, then the lack of instructions may not be an issue. If you have not, believe me, it is frustrating to say the least. I do recommend this product, but be aware that at the time this was written, there were no instructions included or online. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

Even though the unopened, bulky, heavy carton seemed it good shape, the contents weren't. Specifically, the front corners of the sides of the chest were deformed; fortunately, the assembly [bolting] mitigated most of the deformities ... and since I wasn't looking to enter a beauty pageant, I guess the 'pre-banged up" appearance fits right in with my shop. [I actually think it was a returned item as I saw tool marks from a previous attempt at assembly.] It took a whopping 150 minutes to assemble the unit; could have been 30 had assy instructions been included! Layout all the bolts and washers before starting so that you can figure out which bolts to use where. You need to be careful selecting the orientation of the four legs [while not immediately obvious, there's a left/right, up/down, front/back]; and I guess you can choose to put the side pull bar anywhere. Also, watch out for the wheel bolting pattern; the hex heads are up. What amazed me more than the assembly was the amount of tools one needs to do it. 12 and 13 mm open and box wrenches, sockets, and impact driver; a rule; a rubber mallet and 40" bar and hand clamps to align holes; a right angle or flex bit holder ... the lower of the upper two rear leg bolts are bears. Con: the outsides of the chest, about 1.5" on each side, are partitioned off to hold screwdrivers and similarly shaped hand tools; when I tried loading my larger ones, either the handles protruded too high such that the lid couldn't close or the action ends were too long and they bottomed out; with shorter tools, you couldn't grab the handle and you couldn't identify what the tool was .... I really don't know what do with those two slots but they're taking up considerable space not to find a use for them. Con: the lid requires two hands to close and are simple hinges, not pistons. Con: the lock is mickey mouse. Pro: decent powder-coating. Indifferent: the drawer liners are slightly better than nothing.

    Bad lock!
The key cannot be removed from the supplied lock when it is in the unlocked position. I had to spend $15 to get a lock in which the key could be removed from the unlocked position to avoid damaging the lid.

I like the functionality of the unit. It does take some study of the directions foe assembly. I had to take the legs apart several times to line up the openings properly, but I eventually got it right. I just wish it had an additional drawer, but otherwise it's great.

I think the product I received is a defect. The length of the bottom of the chest is about 27 inches while the distance between the two cross-supports is 28 inches which makes it impossible to put the chest on top of the two cross-supports. I have to return this order.

I can't take the key out and keep the box unlocked so I don't hit the key sticking out. there is only one slot to put the key in and turn but when unlocked I can't remove the key unless I lock the box again. No one was thining when they got these locks I would loveit if you sent me a key lock that I can lock and unlock with out the key being left in the lock.

Just received - immediately put together. Lengthy process - all parts present. Quality is not that great: cover is dimpled on top which reflects the welds on the reverse side, the edge of cover came bent, scuff under cover and foam torn. Disappointed as this cost $170. Disappointed too, as I purchased with intent to store my miter saw on top but the cabinet can only be unlocked by first opening the lid which means I am still shifting the saw around or not locking the cabinet. Not sure of the real need for 600lb capacity if the top surface must stay clear.

Yup, love it! It was easy to put together and I love the space inside and under it. It’s perfect for my needs. The wheels are huge and therefore roll easily (think desk chair on steroids!) yet DON’T roll when I need it to be stationary. The price was right too. Win-Win!
