When I first pulled it out of the box, I was disappointed. The awning is corrugated plastic and the supports a heavy plastic too. The aluminum is the brace that goes left to right on the front and back. It's well designed and fits tight once it's put together. It covers my front door nicely and should keep me protected trying to come in when it rains. My contractor and his assistant said it was pretty easy to install and it only took them an hour.

Watch the width. This product labeled as 5ft. It is not. I didn’t think I’d have a problem with a 48” window. Had to mount on window trim…. Just barely was able to clear a 4 ft window. And shim for trim angles. Rewrite the main description. 4’5” is not 5ft

Overall good product and fairly easy to install. Only reason for 4 stars is waiting to see how holds up in wind/rain/snow

Very easy to install. Looks very nice over my back door. No more rain on my storm door. Installed on vinyl siding wall. I have used two extra screws one for each side. So far no problem with strong winds. I would recommend this product.

I bought it 2 years ago and installed it above our basement apartment's side door. In one windy spring day I found only pieces of it around my and my neighbors' houses. Left support arm in cracked. Panel's holders are broken as well. The base is light, made from plastic. It doesn't look strong enough to handle such wide panel.

I just love the awning. It replaced one my Father put on the house 65 years ago.

Packaging should be better. Top of bracket pulls away from wall when sheet gets installed which requires more caulk. I do like the ability to place brackets at different widths for ease of mounting. Would be nice if there was a seal for rear of unit to wall. Use caulk there to.

I put awning above walk in garage door. It took about an hour and did it by myself. I am about 3 stars in handiness. I used the hardware that came with the awning. My garage has vinyl siding. Everything went well. Directions say to use a 13/32 drill bit. I used 3/8 and it worked. Probably helped with a snug fit. The brackets are heavy duty plastic. If it holds up, it will be worth the $99 special buy.

Install was super easy and it looks amazing!!

Use the packaging as a mounting template. Assemble it as shown. place it on the cardboard and draw the template. Tape it to the wall and make your holes. I installed it into 3/8" stucco exterior walls. Looks great. Install takes only about 2-4 hours depending on the amount of detail you get into. I take pride in my work and was able to get the job done after work. There was damage to the corners! The crushed corners ironed out but they really should protect the corners better during packaging. It looks amazing and I won't hesitate to install another one in the backyard. I'm please. As with any DIY project it's what you put into it.

Great simple awning. We needed a low profile awning over our new back door that would work around a hot water heater vent pipe close to the door. This awning was the perfect solution. We were able to cut an opening for the vent pipe, giving it space all around it so it does not melt the awning. We love how it turned out and it helps hide the ugly vent. Very pleased.

We've only had it for a month or so. It's handled some heavy rain and wind very well. It's very easy to install and looks better than I thought it would. So far we're pleased with this product.

This awning is replacing an awning that was on my property for over 40 years. It took very little time to put up and it's absolutely beautiful. I had to wait a little bit to pick it up as it was busy in the store but it was worth the wait.

I noticed in the reviews that many people were complaining of the plastic brackets and cover. Clearly they did not read about the product before buying it. They expected aluminum support brackets in a $150 awning? Anyhow, it is a good value for the money, and will do a reasonable job of protecting the door area from the elements. Installation was pretty straight forward. I don't know why the left and right plastic edge pieces needed to be trimmed. They should have simply provided the proper length.

The awning is working great. It looks nice also. I would recommend it.

On first appearance, this is a good quality, low cost solution to protect doors from rain. Except it is not the advertised size. After measuring, drilling, and assembly, i found that the 2.5x4’ is wrong. It is only 46”. 2 inches shorter than advertised. Just enough to throw of all measurements and because of the shortness,?does not fit over a normal exterior doorway.

There are plastic brackets…don’t be fooled, they are not metal…PLASTIC! Cheap plastic brackets.

Everything about this product is misleading. It’s a complete ball of crap. The entire structure is cheap plastic. The awning is corrugated thin plastic. It won’t survive a single season of any real weather. Love is so cal and pretty sure it would have melted away within a month. Crap!
