We have been trying to retrofit a 1992 Moen Valve with 2015 fixtures, without hiring an expensive plumber. Can't tell you how many things we've returned because it wouldn't work or was cheap looking or couldn't find matching parts. We finally found this and we are very happy. It's quality and metal not plastic. We didn't have an issue with a floppy handle as some. The handle sticks out far but the spout is longer so doesn't look weird. Only issue is now we have hot on left and cold on right but that is because of the way the new one turns as opposed to the old. Have to pick your battles I guess. Price Pfiester has a how to install Video on their site. This is a great solution. We ordered the brushed silver for our guest bathroom. Very attractive. I have included before and after pictures. We had our tub and tile reglazed also.

I was really excited to dress up our one tiny bathroom with the Phister Tuscan Bronze universal shower adapter set. The trickiest part of the installation is the handle. Mine is a Delta Monitor. The hardest part was getting the old handle off, but that was because I've never done it before. The Phister adapter for the new set went on pretty easy, but it made the handle protrude from the wall about 5-6". This just looked to clunky for my taste. I reviewed the instructions and other parts, and I had done everything right. This was pretty disappointing, but at least it was easy to take back off and put my original bland boring handle back on. It appears that if if you have a Delta Monitor as your original handle, the adapter for that is the biggest one. Also, part of the problem could be that our original faucet setup is not as far into the wall as it could or should be. Another concern I had about the set is the shower head. If the spray pressure isn't good I would then have to find one that did in a matching finish. I found the water pressure to be a little wimpy for me. I need a pressure wash to feel clean. there are 5 spray patterns, I think I tried 4 but all where soft to me. I don't know if there are government mandates concerning water usage, but I find it difficult to find a shower head with decent stay pressure. Over all the set looked and felt like high quality materials. It just wasn't the right fit for my situation. One last concern, since this is a unique finish, and not typical chrome, my tub drain and drain cover would still be chrome and the rest would be Tuscan Bronze. This would be too mismatched for me, and kinda defeat the purpose. I'm sure I could get a Tuscan bronze drain and cover set somewhere though.

I got this set to upgrade my bathroom. I had Moen parts already, so I followed the instructions to replace that type of equipment. The packaging was great and none of my parts were scratched. The directions were easy to follow, and it was installed in less then an hour. It looks very high end. The water pressure is better then I have ever had. The 5 function shower head gives you lots of great options. The finish does not show water spots, and wipes clean easily with just a rag. I also found the water handle to be heavy, and it does not stay all the way into position. The handle due to its weight does drop about a 1/2 inch. The only other issue I had with the product is that the handle does not sit flush with the wall, it does stick out about an inch. It still looks great and I am happy with the product. It also did not come with the tub drain or overflow plate, so I purchase them separately. My bathroom now looks very updated. I would recommend this product, I think you will be happy with the finished set up.

Coming out of the box, I noticed the handle had not-quite-a-scratch-but-some-rubbing-marks on it. Not a huge deal because they won't be noticed by anyone but me. The instructions read to identify which Moen, Pfister, or Delta valve you have and to go from there. The installation was fairly simple even though I don't have a Moen, Delta, or Pfister valve. Everything still fit nicely. The showerhead has great waterflow! Our water pressure is terrible & I was surprised to see the flow when I turned on the water. I have not had any problems with a loose handle or anything like that. Overall, the thing: 1. Looks great! 2. Was easy to install 3. Works great! What else could you ask for?

I used this kit to update the shower stall. It easily integrated with my old Moen parts behind the tile. The tuscan bronze finish is high quality and really made a big impact to the shower. There are five spray pattern options with a good pressure "rain shower" pattern and focused patterns flanking and combos between each option.This kit was fairly easy to install and looks great.

I think it's "ALMOST" universal, but wasn't for us. It's very pretty looking and if it will work with what you're replacing, I think you'd be very happy with it.

Did one bath remodel now am doing another. Perfect trim kit. Read what you get this is trim only. Don't purchase looking for internal valve or valve parts then give negative review because you didn't get any in the box. READ the description.

I was prett disappointed after spending a good amount of money on his to complete my bathroom update, but low and behold...Pfister's customer service and their dedication to backing their products paid off. I called, and with no questions asked the rep preceded to order me a replacement. Definitely THE BEST customer service I've experienced! Needless to say, it must have been a fluke, because the replacement has posed no problem as and the finish remains true. I told my wife that we are officially Pfister loyal customers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was picturing what style and finish bath faucet would look best with my Roman-Tuscan, refined, but slightly rustic-looking porcelain tiles. I didn't have to search too long to come across this universal tub set, which hit the look just right. It comes in several configurations to pretty much cover the original faucet products out there, which makes installation easy. It has now been nearly a year, as of this review and this Pfister product is performing well. I would recommend taking a look.

because it was trim only and I needed to replace the water cartridge that goes into the valve. Returned. was easier to by a complete kit and not use the rough in valve.

This worked great. The picture closest to ehat we have fit. This was our second kit. So glad we didn't have to rip the tiles out. Looks awesome!

By far one of the best in it's class. I installed this model in bronze when I remodeled our bathroom and have no complaints...and to top it off, when the finish started to peel, the customer service was FENOMINAL! This is a good looking, easy to install product. The installation wouldn't even be considered "plumbing" on any level... The water supply doesn't even need to be turned off! I happened to replace an existing Pfister product, but the other represented brands appeared to be just as easily adaptable. Remember that the alternative to this is to access the original plumbing and replace the valve...that could mean breaking through tiles and then dealing with sweating and unsweating joints in small spaces...a job better left to a professional. If this product works for your situation, and there are specific types of fixtures that it replaces, then I highly recommend it.

Easy instructions to follow and looks great. Some material could be saved if a universal kit for just the shower was available as I didn't need the tub spout. I would like to see a tub only universal kit. Very easy to install.

I decided to go with the universal tub and shower trim as the wife and I were happy with the overall appearance of our new condo's bathroom except for the trim. Installing this assembly is as easy as they claim and it looks fantastic! Bring new life to your old bathroom!

Only funky thing about it is once it's installed you realize just how far the handle/knob sticks out. Also, the care instructions say that using anything but warm water will damage the finish... so we'll see how things look in a few months.

The kit was easy to install. Packaged instructions were easy to follow. Made our newly remodeled bathroom look awesome.

The last time I had a trim kit installed, the plumber could only use a single piece of it because it did not match up with the valve. I am unsure of the brand of valve present in this installation, but universal in this case rang true. This was the last bronze replacement in this bathroom and I'm glad it is complete and that this looks so good!

Very easy to install, took less than 1 hr. Looks great!

The unit installed with no probelms. Replaced my old nickel finish Delta and it looks great. My wife loves it. Be careful when tightening because it can stratch easily. I didn't use any wrenches to tighten the shower part just my 217 pounds until I couldn't twist it anymore. Don't forget the teflon tape.

This is a quick fix for an old fixture when you have a working valve set. Instruction are very detailed for a full variety of valve configurations. However, you may need tp purchase additional parts for certain applications.

I was a bit skeptical about using a Universal kit. My concern was that it would look like a one size fits all, which is not what I wanted. When I opened the box, my first impression was how nice the finish looked. When I put it side by side with our old system, there was no comparison. Okay, now I'm excited to get the old parts off and the new parts on. The installation was super easy. Just remove the old pieces and install the new ones. The shower head is of course very easy to do. I removed the old one by unscrewing it with a crescent wrench. I put new teflon tape on the threads of the shower arm and installed the new shower head. The next was the handle and escutcheon. Again, very easy to remove (has a large nut that holds the parts on). The new part was also very easy to install and what a great look. Finally, the tub spout came off - I had to cut the silicone before it would turn. It's actually attached to the copper pipe - just put new teflon thread on the pipe and screw the spout on. The operation is the same, except for a much nicer shower head. It had better be, since we used the same valve. The tub diverter (pull up lever works better than the old one. Overall, I am extremely happy with the transformation this shower/tub set has made to our bathroom. The finish is top notch and feels like it will last quite some time.

1) scratches on two of the 3 pieces 2) the hot/cold lever sits at 6 o'clock( turning it to 3 = cold…9 = hot ) it would be nice if it STAYED in those positions. The design is poorly thought out. Due to gravity and weight of the handle, it slowly slides back to 6 o'clock….hope you like really fast showers 3) How is it "UNIVERSAL" if it didn't even fit my 5yr old MOEN? NONE of the pieces fit tightly…very VERY leaky and they don't sit flush with the wall….not even close. 4) The directions are like the Death Star Plans with one-sentence descriptions; tried using the Force but gave up after 2 hours of complete failure. 5) "Recommended Tools" tiny little illustration on the back of the box, i.e. silicone, plumbers tape…they're not RECOMMENDED….they're REQUIRED. 6) didn't need a plumber before I bought this kit…do now…..what a value….

Shower head is great with excellent water pressure and comfortable spray. I'm a little disappointed in the 1 handle faucet - it is mounted about 1/2 inch from the back plate so the hardware is visible. Looks great with new tub and tile.

This is gorgeous! But its a trim kit, meaning that if you are only changing out from what is there go for it, but it is not to be used for new construction

I bought this and it was installed with ease. I was worried about the weight of the handle (as someone previously mentioned), but I bought anyway. I was hoping that was a fluke. I did find that it was too heavy and wouldn't stay in place; however, I emailed Pfister to see if they had a replacement handle that was less heavy. They said yes, they sent it immediately. I just installed it and it's PERFECT! So, if you do buy (which I say do) ... if it's too heavy, don't hesitate to contact them to send you a lighter handle. I'm glad I did!
