Easy to install. Really great price, especially compared to Philips Hue line. They run off of Wi-Fi so there's no need to purchase a hub separately.

Installed 53 in my home!
First, these lights are a Home Depot exclusive and hard to find large quantities. We had to travel around the DFW Metroplex and bought out 6 stores. I have installed a total of 53 of these in my condo. It’s perfect. Very simple to use. Very fun! Any one can do it. If you read any poor reviews about these things then that’s your problem. You are going to miss out on some awesome lights.

For the price, these bulbs are fantastic. Here are some thoughts (I also have some Phillips Hue bulbs and have made comparisons). I bought well over a dozen of these, there are discounts if you buy packs of 4, along with a couple of BR30s. 1. Sit flush on ceiling unlike other recessed retrofits. That makes a difference in brightness. 2. Installation is easy - physically and electronically. I removed the springs latches for the old recessed lights but I left the old mounting brackets for the bulb socket in the can because otherwise there's just too much loose wire. 3. Can adjust colors and brightness from app. You can even create your own presets as a new default. The bulbs remember whatever setting you had it on last. Different rooms need different lighting, you can play around with settings to get the right look. 4. You can group any of the lights together into a room 5. works with Alexa, pretty smooth but function is limited to on/ off and brightness, not colors, unlike the hue bulbs. 6. Colors are not as great as Hue but for standard daylight, cool white, etc, these are more than adequate. 7. Does not dim with regular dimmer, however, there is a function where you can make your light toggle "smart". So if you toggle once, the lights turn on the first preset and if you toggle twice it will go on the second (say if you wanted to go from daylight to nightlight). 8. I was worried that the bulbs wouldn't function with a mixture of light switch and Alexa but they do. For example, I can tell Alexa to turn kitchen lights off (manual light switch is still on). Then later, if I toggle the light switch off then on, the lights come on. This way, less tech inclined members of the family don't get frustrated. This is a big convenience actually. Sometimes though, there is a bit of a lag because every time a light toggle is switched, it takes time to reconnect to wifi 9. A few of you may be worried about the number of independent devices connecting to your wifi router and that slowing down internet speed. I haven't noticed any issues like that. 10. there are schedules and other functions to help set lights automatically (i.e. when you are on vacation or need different lights in am vs night). Overall, I think for the cost this is an overall better package than paying for the Hue bulbs and bridge.

SUMMARY: ANOTHER DECENT LIGHT WITH SOME OF THE TYPICAL SMART HOME ISSUES BACKGROUND: We wanted to upgrade some of the lights in our house to “Smart Home” lights. The Philips Tunable white “Full Color” Wi-Fi LED lights looked perfect for the job. FIT AND FINISH: The lights are nice and neat, the connections are simple. INSTALLATION: It took as long to get the light out of the box as it did to install it. We replaced retro upgrade LEDs so we removed the old lights, disconnected the harnesses, unscrewed the connectors, screwed in the new connectors, connected the new harness,es and installed the new lights. (It took only a few minutes for each fixture.) SMART HOME INTEGRATION: This is by far the most tedious and frustrating part of installing a lot of “smart” appliances and accessories. We already had the Wiz app installed for other smart lights, so we opened up the app and tried to follow the directions. After a few frustrated attempts the app and one light paired. The second light took over 20 minutes of repeated attempts to connect. The wi-fi signal at both lights was very strong as they are only 20 feet from the router. The best comment I have is that smart home things aren’t. Since we have a Google smart home we then had to pair the new light into the Google Home app. This was also very frustrating. We have recently installed similar lights so I knew what to expect. After several app restarts and refreshes we finally go the lights named and responding to their names. OPERATION: Operation of the light is fairly simple. In the Wiz app we find the lights by name or room and control them through the app via screen touch. The Wiz app does give a variety of options for color, brightness, and static and dynamic lighting modes. Through the Google Home app we use standard Google commands. “Hey Google, turn on the bedroom light.” Hey Google, dim the light to 10%.” SUMMARY: Installation is simple, smart-home integration is a pain, operation is fairly simple. PROS: Full color control is nice. Easy to install. Easy to operate. Stylish. CONS: Smart-home integration is difficult.

Wow, these lights are simply amazing! They clip in to a standard 5 or 6 inch recess light can and dont have the deep baffles that always look dirty. Very sleek and modern looking lights. The best part about these lights are their ability to change from 2200k warm all the way to 6000k+ and any shade of white in between. All of which is controlled from the WiZ app! Each light connects independently to your home WIFI so there is no costly hub needed. Setup is a breeze and once connected you can customize each light's brightness and color temperature. Additionally the app allows you to set custom schedules for the lights so no need for the old mechanical timers when you go on vacation. I really cant say enough good things about these lights. If you have been interested in smart lights but didn't want to pay for an expensive hub to control them, these are for you! If you already have Alexa, Siri, or Google home these will also integrate flawlessly with your current system.

These lights are a fantastic upgrade for any 5 or 6 inch recessed light can. They are fully dimmable and are capable of changing to any color you can imagine! They are very easy to install with a screw in bulb base and 2 spring loaded clips. The coolest feature is their wireless home network connection. NO BASE STATION REQUIRED! Each bulb is independently wi-fi capable. They can be controlled from the WiZ app which is simple to use and very intuitive. In the app you can create custom lighting moods or changing scenes using one or multiple lights. If you've waited to try smart lighting because of the costly price of controllers, try these! You will not be disappointed!

Smart lighting with instant on is what I like. LED lights are the way to go since these have ten years of extended warranty. So you really can't go wrong with these since they last so long. Also, LED saves you tons of money in electricity so these will eventually pay back the cost and even more. Easy to install with the standard E26 medium base connector. No problems or issues so far.

After installation, first thing I noticed was that, kids like to play with changing light colors. It was fun for like 3 mins and then it became annoying - the constant on/off, changing colors using the light button along with high/low for the recessed lights. Installation was super easy as I already had recessed lights and just replaced the regular units with these. The applucation which works with these lights, wiz was also real easy to work with. Detected all lights. Configuring them, changing lights, default color and how high the light would be, all were very easy to navigator. You can name each of the individual lights... Now, a couple things which didn't like/work very well: I haven't been able to find a way to manage all lights together. So, its inconvinient at times to change the light colors one by one. Another thing which has been painful a few times is that when i open the app, it would find the light. Would ask me to turn them on, which they already are as i can see them on. So, workaround has been to get out of the app a couple times and then it would detect the lights. Other than these two glitches, I find this light very appealing for our living room.

Upgrade your existing recessed lighting with this WiFi controllable LED kit to suit your every lighting need or color mood. It's labelled for use with 6" can receptacles but looks like it would also easily fit a 5" receptacle. Simply remove the existing trim ring by pulling down and releasing whatever style springs were holding it in place then unscrew the existing light bulb. This kit assumes the existing light socket is a standard intermediate size or this kit can't be used. Disconnect the orange plug from the new fixture and screw the adapter plug into the old light bulb socket. Reconnect the orange plug, insert the new spring clips into the ceiling fixture tabs and gently push up on the assembly until it is flush with the ceiling. Physical installation is then complete but you are not done yet. If the old lighting was controlled by a dimmer switch it will need to be removed and replaced with a standard On/Off switch otherwise weird things will happen if you try to operate the new light(s) with ANY kind of dimmer... trust me on this because I tried it to see what would happen. At this point the light(s) will be operable but you will be stuck with a yellowish or daylight light of intermediate or full brightness. To be able to adjust the lighting characteristics you must have a home WiFi setup and some kind of smart phone, then do an application search for "Wiz Lighting" and then install the "WIZ" app on your phone which will then instruct you how to change the "temperature" from Soft to Daylight or Bright White, your choice of a full spectrum of colors and also the light intensity (dimming). Once this is accomplished the wall switch can be used to turn on or off the lights remembering those settings. I found it virtually impossible to get a photo that accurately shows the light color or intensity. The lines you see are not actually visible to the naked eye as I suspect that they represent some kind of light frequency that a phone camera is fast enough to capture so I apologize not being able to show you how the light(s) look in various colors. You do need to understand that anytime you wish to dim or brighten the lights you will need to reopen the "WIZ" app and do it from there so keep that in mind since that might be inconvenient in some circumstances.

They do not fit 5" cans
I did not get the paid promotion that so many of these reviews have and actually bought these. Says it fits 5" cans which I have and they most certainly do not fit all 5" cans. The clip brackets hit the edge of the can housing so there ends up being about a 1/2" gap. Returning them. Would be great if real reviews weren't suppressed by a bunch of paid reviews.

JUNK! Bluetooth won't connect....and I spent way too much time trying. Overly complicated for something that should be so simple. The App is horrible!!

Wiz setup didn't work, after 3 attempts... Paid for a smart light and got a "dumb expensive" one. Will try setup again, when I have more time.... Never had this setup issue with Feit lights

Super simple to install if you have can lights already in place. Only issue was the set up of the app. Once you are done pulling your hair out about the app set up, then it's easy going. Great light selection and transitions.

Works great!! Even with just one bulb!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recessed lighting all though my condo and the switch is on the otherwise of the room from where I come in so sometimes I am fumbling in the dark!! I had never thought to add smart light bulbs because I thought you had to do them all with recessed light but no! I just did one over the sink of my kitchen and it light up the room so nicely! It was super easy to install and works with Alexa great! Would totally recommend.

Create a festive feel right away
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to admit the light and the app are fun to play with, but I wouldn’t personally go out and purchase this item. My husband had fun playing with the colored light options and when I came home had chose the red and green and said it was very festive in the house.

Took a minute to figure out how to get to work with a 5 inch hole, and I had trouble connecting to their iPhone app but I eventually got it. As for pilot error, I thought the on/off feature didn’t work with the app but I was impatient and didn’t pay attention to the fade feature ( it took 5 seconds to fade off and I was expecting instant off) once I understood this feature it worked fine

The lights themselves are great. Getting them to all sync with the app was another story. Way more difficult than it needs to be. Now that they are installed they do a great job. On occasion one light in room will not sync or be the same color as the rest. Just have to change it in the app.
