Ordered these for vinyl sliding windows, which this said it was for along with sliding doors. Had to return them as they did not even come close to fitting our vinyl windows. Disappointed.

It's much smaller than it looks in the picture. Also, it's difficult to tighten the thumb screw so it doesn't move easily when the window is opened. You are better off with cutting a wooden dowel, about 5/8" in diameter, to the desired length(s).

Sturdy device
The device seems sturdy. It grips the track without any difficulty. Would it withstand a determined intruder's efforts? That remains to be seen.

Small investment for good security.
East to install, plus gives added peace of mind having window security.

Got these so that while my husband is gone I can feel safe with my windows open, yet no one can come in.
They said that it would be a couple of weeks before I got these and I had them in three days. The packaging was good.
The pictures do not do this product justice. They are very solid and sturdy. The rod looked longer in the pic, so it was a nice surprise to see that it was shorter and you can also adjust the length of it. If you have the thumb screw facing the window it will not scratch it.
Another selling point is that it can be used for right or left horizontal or vertical sliding windows. I have the new white eco windows and the white of the lock blends in wonderfully! I would recommend these to anyone.
Also had my husband try and break in and guess what. He had to sweet talk his way back in!!

Works good for me.
As sliding windows may be different in every country, i bought these as a "trial" experiment. Turns out, it does work pretty well and i m from Singapore. Its a matter of figuring how you want to attach it, be in top or bottom, left or right sided.
More importantly, it holds up very securely and sturdy.
The downside is that, the clamps will scratch your windows, and it would be best if you can improvise by adding a rubber grip or something to avoid abrasion.
All in all, a very affordable and convenient piece of hardware to have at home.

Works
Right sliders work better than left sliders, but works overall.
