I actually ran into the smaller version of this light on clearance in a store, and it was an unbelievable value. While doing my research I found this larger version which suit my needs better. Went back to the store to check and sure enough these were on clearance as well and I grabbed 2 of them as quickly as I could. First of all, they are huge! I couldn't even get one of them to fit in my car and had to come back to pick them up with my pickup truck. Given the size of the box, they are actually very light so handling is not difficult. Fast forward to the installation. This is actually my first time installing this type of light so I was a bit nervous. Knowing that I needed to move the location I did pick up swag hooks ahead of the time. Overall the installation was very simple. Another review mentioned it was challenging to open and close the link and it was very helpful. I did scratch up my first attempt, then I wrapped pliers with tape and managed to work on the link without scratching them. Threading the wires through the link was a bit time consuming but I expected that after reading reviews as well. Overall, the installation was about as simple as it can be and I was able to get it all done in a couple of hours. I do have to take off a point for not having an easier to adjust chain link. Now the final result. The lights are absolutely beautiful. They are simple and elegant. The brushed nickle candles against the dark frame gave the light a more modern twist. When the room is relatively dark, the frame sort of disappears and all you can see are the "floating" candles. With 6 lights on each, there is more than plenty of light for the entire space, and my dining area is 30' x 12'. I have them on a dimmer and the space is already bright enough at only 50%. Bottom line: I am completely satisfied with how the lights worked out and I think I would have gladly paid a lot more for them.

The Whisp Collection 4-Light Graphite Chandelier with Brushed Nickel Accents is an elegant twist on the traditional chandelier. The special graphite finish is "almost black". The light socket covers are shiny nickel and very pretty. The fixture uses four 60 watt bulbs, not included. This is a generously size light at 21 in. W x 26.75 in. H includes a chain for mounting or you may choose ceiling mount. The collection includes several sizes and types of lighting so you can create a total look for your home.

My wife and I love the modern-industrial styling of this 6-light fixture from Progress Lighting, which looks amazing suspended above then table in our dining room, having replaced an ornate chandelier with 5 bulbs that was a bit dated. Alternatively, this fixture could be hung in an entry way. The fixture is large in size, but lighter in weight than I expected it would be, and is well constructed of metal with a graphite grey finish that closely resembles dark bronze. Out of the box, the metal rods that make up the base are compressed and need to be separated and moved into place. The rods do not lock into place and can be adjusted even when the light is hung. A mounting bracket, a few wire nuts, an approximately 72-inch chain, and a base plate for suspending the chandelier from the ceiling is included. The last links in the chain need to be spread with pliers so you can fasten them to the finials at both ends. Spreading the steel links apart and bending them back together around the finials requires exerting a lot of force, and its nearly impossible to do without marring the finish. Having to finagle the links in order to hang the light is bit of a time consuming hassle considering that other lamps around this price point feature quick links that unscrew and can be opened and closed without the use of tools. The power and ground wires threads through the chain, and are visible after installation, so you want to be careful to avoid kinking the wires as you thread them through the links. The lamp sockets are plastic or bakelite with a metal sleeve finished in brushed nickel. The sockets accept candelabra bulbs up to 60 watts each, for a total of up to 360 watts, which is a good amount of light output. I installed Edison style energy efficient bulbs that use 11 watts to produce an output equivalent to a standard 60 watt bulb. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the appearance and performance of this lighting fixture, and highly recommend it.

This is a beautiful fixture hanging. It gives off a beautiful light and adds an elegant look to your foyer and home.

This light is simple but elegant. We installed it in an old farmhouse and it is perfect. It is good quality. Love it.

Love our new fixture. We have high celings, but still had lots of chain and wires to install the light.. Easy to install and looks terrific. Good value.

It’s beautiful but I can’t find the light bulbs that are in the picture.

I didn't see any fixtures I liked in the store, so I found these online. We have this one in our dining room and the 3-light version in foyer. Both can be hung from chain or mounted to ceiling. I was nervous to purchase online, but I'm glad I did. We've received many compliments and "where did you get those?" These lights are black, but kind of a light black (if such a color exists). I like that they aren't visually blocky and can be seen through. And best of all - they're beautiful and affordable!
