I have seen a review that it won’t pick up the leaves. I don’t know what you were expecting but it does a great job mulching my leaves and I get a lot of them. You can’t expect to wait until you have 3-4 inches of leaves and then not expect it to push them around but I wait until they cover the ground and it does as good as any mulch kit I have had from jd or husq. I would like to see parts become available for it though

I gave it four stars because the plug is poorly made, first time I used it the tabs broke. I was able to repair them but they should be rubber not plastic. While I have not had to try and do a fall leaf cleanup it did a great job mulching up leaves and twigs from storm blow off. Not for the deck plug I would have given it five stars. I would recommend this product

The mulch kit seems to work fine as long as the grass is short. If I'm cutting 3-4" it bogs down the 54" 115AH Ryobi cordless zero turn mower.

For some reason the blades do not seem to cut with the very end of the blade so If I don’t overlap my passes by 50% I get tall spots of uncut grass. My non mulching blades did not have that problem. Everything is installed correctly not sure what the issue could be. Issue started right after installation so it didn’t happen overtime. This issue results in an inability to mow my entire lawn in 1 charge due to my mowers battery loss from just one year usage. It’s very disappointing.

The mulch plug to my kit broke, because it's plastic. Called ryobi to buy a new one. They don't "have a part number for it" and thus won't sell you a replacement. They tell you to buy the whole kit again. What a shame. Combine that with failing zero turn batteries and this will be the last ryobi product I buy ever. Time to make a nice metal replacement on my own I guess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the kit on my mower. Unfortunately, you cannot buy replacement blades for this and that can cause a problem when you bend/break a blade.

I purchased this new to the market item...i love the mower... However I have zero love for the mulch kit..... This needs to go back to the engineers/drawing board... I installed and reinstalled the kit to make sure I did it correctly... Did not pick up any leaves..... Did not mulch... The regular blades are better than it.... Glad i kept my old Husqvarna, because I have 9 trees in my front yard.. I was also highly upset with the cost, especially soccer it did not work....i thought it should have been included with mower

Very easy to install and almost no cleanup after mowing.

This mulch kit does exactly what it was designed to do, mulch grass and leaves. The blades are thinner than the ones that came with the mower originally. There are, as expected differences in the blades, the blade has a shorter cutting edge on the blade and has more of a upward bend than the original blades, designed for lift. I mentioned earlier that the blades are not as thick as the one’s you’ll be taking off. So I highly suggest that you check your grass for any tree branches or other debris before you mow. I don’t know if these blades are going to stand up very well if you cut small twigs and branches. The installation was a breeze, the hardest thing to do was to get the front end on ramps to begin. Read the directions and look over your parts before you begin. The PCs. That are shaped as a “Y” go between the mower blade sections, and the bolt holes for installation are not in the middle, they are more to the top of the deck and I can see how easily it would be for someone to start drilling because they didn’t read the directions. Overall, installation took about 30 minutes and cut is good, mulches nice. Just not sure of the blades longevity. Cheers!

The mulch kit was easy to attach and works great!!! The grass clippings disappear.
