The fan is adequate for the job but the wiring is very small multi strand wire. It is not up to code for some areas and the motor wires will probably break after several years due to vibrations flexing at the motor connection. The fan uses a common return ground so if it fails you have neither a light or fan until you can replace the whole unit. It would have been better if the manufacturer had used two circuits so that the lights would be available independently since the motor wiring will fail eventually. The fan is limited by the wiring to 13 watt bulbs so you are limited to using either small output fluorescent or LED bulbs that are sixty watt equivalent which negates the four fixtures in providing more light for larger areas. The fan is quiet, the appearance is acceptable. Basically this fan is an economy builders unit and worth what you pay for it.

The noise is most likely caused by fan wobble. I suspect that when the a/c comes on or a window or door is opened it creates a mild draft causing the fan to wobble. Please ensure a) the outlet box is rated for ceiling fan use and securely fastened to the building structure b) the mounting bracket is securely fastened to the outlet box c) the two set screws securing the downrod to the motor assembly are very tight d) the blade screws and the motor screws holding the blade arms are tight. Any of these things can cause fan wobble which is responsible for fan noise.
