Excellant Trailer Tent
The assembling was excellant with the pictured instructions. And we had the proper tools to get it done! I doubt all people would have all the needed tools. But that aside the trailer is awesome! We have hauled our winter hay in it 25 bales at a time. My former trailer would only hold half that amount. The tent also has gone up easily! We haven't had a chance to use it yet but plan to during this next month. We set the tent up just to see how easliy it went together and if we would need anything extra along on a camping trip. This set up should be great ! My only wish is that the little step stool was wider for additional safety. My granddaughters and dog just loved the smount of room they had to play in!

An awesome trailer/tent combo!
Trailer well made-most I assembled by myself but will need another person for part of it. The tent was very roomy/easy to set up and take down and appears to be well constructed. Haven't hauled anything in trailer but looking forward to it.

    Installation isn't awful.
Ok, my experience is that if you don't leave a review fast enough you can't leave a review. So this review is without going camping. This is just about putting it together. We are not DONE because we need to use a table saw to skim off about 1" off from one of the boards. The wood was out in the rain before we put the trailer together and I suspect that the lack-of-perfect fit is because of swell from the rain. I don't fault the company for this. In order to do all of the putting together except the floor, my husband and I took about 7.5 hours to put the rest of the trailer together. The most frustrating section was when one of the bolts on the axle was stripped when we got it. That was quite sad. Luckily there are AWESOME people on youtube who will teach how to fix a stripped out bolt! It took several trips to the hardware store before we got the right tap and die kit, but then the bolt fixed pretty easily. The nut seems to be on there quite securely. I was prepared for upwards of 12 hours of labor. Having it mostly together (all we have to do is drill some screws) in 7.5 hours was nearly miraculous. (My husband is not a tool guy and I have RSI issues that make it hard for me to put a lot of force behind a drill sometimes. I'm ridiculously impressed we did it this fast.) I've now jumped on the wings of the trailer and I will feel very secure having my kids sleep up there. I'm about to take off on a five month road trip where we will be living in this trailer. I am super excited. So far, the trailer exceeds all of my hopes and dreams. Yay! The instructions were detailed and *beautiful*. I partially bought this trailer because I need something I can move around on my own (as a 5'5" 150 lb woman with arm injuries) and this is heavy... but doable. I'm so excited.

    Well engineered, multi-use trailer
Assembly was fairly easy.  Very useful for cargo or camping.  When camping I carry some storage containers and 2 coolers in the trails.  These items much be off loaded before tent setup, adding time to the process.  A popup or larger trailer would have it's own storage. On the plus side, I can transport 2 kayaks and mount my bicycle carrier on the trailer.  Now, after a little over a year, two of the fiberglass support poles have splintered and the tent has sprung 4 leaks.  Hopefully the heavy duty tape and tarp will give me a couple more years of use.  It's important to weigh and balance the cargo, giving you a safer more comfortable ride.

      Excellent Design
In July we ordered the Sahara Tent Trailer. When it arrived, we immediately began putting it together. We found the instructions were easier than any we had ever seen. The parts and pieces went together exactly as specified, they fit together well, hole alignment was excellent. It took us (my wife & I) about 8 hours to complete the process. When we finished the final step by putting the tent up, we discovered that it was the best tent we have ever seen. The material is much heavier than we expected and it is very well made. We have had and still have other tents, but this one is supreme. A week later, we took the Sahara on it's inaugural camping trip. The trailer is well designed too, pulled easily and made carrying our camp gear and 2 kayaks very easy. It is the most comfortable tent we have ever had. I am 6' 2" and had no problem moving around in the tent. The sleeping bunks are well designed even for me at nearly 200 pounds. The tent attracted the attention of quite a few other campers so we had opportunities to brag on it more than once. We absolutely love our Sahara and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great camping experience. Thanks LifeTime

        Well Built
My son and I put this together on a Saturday and it took approx. 10 hours to do it. I was impressed with the precision in which the trailer was manufactured because everything fit as described. The only mistake we found in the assembly manual was pertaining to the lights on the rear of the trailer. The instructions described wire placement into the lights opposite the instructions on the lights themselves. We plugged the wires in to the lights as described on the lights not the manual and everything worked. The trailer and tent seemed to be very well built and we are looking forward to camping. We did tow the trailer around to "get the feel for it" and it towed very well. A lot of thought went into the instructions as they were easy to follow and assembly was a pleasure (except for the lights).

          This Trailer Allows For Everything!
My family is big into rock crawling. We have been tent camping for 4 years now, but sleeping on the ground was getting old. We rented a popup camper, but it had minimal storage for tools, parts, gear etc. I have seen expedition trailers before, but they generally only sleep one or two people. I have two boys and a dog, plus me and the wife to house on our trips. This trailer allows for everything! It is the nicest self assembly kit of any kind I have ever purchased. Everything was tight, I put it together by myself in about 8 hours. The zippers on the doors are marginal at best. The tent material is not like your typical cheap tent. It is heavy. The zippers are like cheap tent zippers and I don't see them holding up to the strength of the material for a long period of time. I added a tongue box, which prevents folding down the front ramp, but it does not hinder setup. I installed a deep cycle battery, solar panels, and inverter. Next up are wheel adapters so I can fit some larger tires. A well built expedition trailer for less than four thousand dollars.

            Love It
We recently sold our small camper because it was too much trouble for maintenance and storage. The Sahara actually gives us more space and is more comfortable. It is simple to set up and the quality is great. We set it up before we leave and put all our bedding and clothes inside on the floor of the tent and then we fold the tent down around it. Then we put a tarp over it. When we get to our destination, we just pop it up and everything is already inside the tent. It is better than a camper. Especially if you never use the kitchen inside a camper. This is simple and when not camping, it is a useful trailer for hauling everything. A brilliant idea. Also, customer service is great. We had a few defective parts and they replaced them immediately. We love it!!!

              Needs an addition
The rear gate .... used the most for ingress and egress needs to be wider or so at the end (left when you are standing behind the trailer) to allow more foot space for better stability when entering or leaving the tent. Maybe a removable addition with a step. Other than that...VERY good program. We really enjoy our Sahara.

Great minimum features, very easy to assemble.
Product is great...just wish the pads for the beds were offered also. My husband put it together with my 16 year old son in about a day. We went fishing the following weekend and I assembled the tent with my husband and it took maybe 15 minutes, not bad for the first time! We had alot of people at the camp ground ask about it and they seemed impressed, thought it was a great idea.
