Nice clean finish, solid, quality feel, it looks good, has no knots, also Home Depot will make 2 cuts for free The Home Depot staff were most helpful and Ryan did a precise job cutting the sheets to the exact size. Used as a platform base for a new memory foam bed.

Very happy with the quality of this "non-cabinet grade" plywood. I used it to build garage cabinets. The plywood had very few voids and was flat and stable. I plan on applying a clear polyurethane finish to protect the wood from dirt, grease, and grime. A very good choice depending on your application and saves $10 per sheet over hardwood plywood. The photos show the cabinets prior to installing the adjustable shelves (which will also be 3/4 Sande), and the frame and panel doors which will use 1/4 Sande for the panels.

Purchased 3/4" and 1/2" Sande Plywood and made cabinets for the garage. Actually the first three (3) of nine (9) that I plan on making. Worked very well for the project and I was very pleased with the help I received from the store in Owasso, OK, and with how the product worked for my project. I still have to finish the cabinets, just trying to decide on paint vs. varnish, color vs. natural. I would highly recommend the product if you want to have a high quality project.

I got 8 sheets of this plywood to do built-ins. First of all I am not sure why but this stuff stinks! Its made in Ecuador not that would make a difference but I am not sure of what their process is or if its the glue or what. Also for $40 dollars a sheet this stuff is not as good as I expected it to be. I will stick to PureBond or GP in the future.

A while ago, this stuff was horrible, it seems as though they listened to the reviews and corrected the problems and complaints. I bought 4 sheets the other week and all 4 were good, no de lamination, very straight and flat, nice grain and minimal to zero voids. I will be trying more again this week. Kudo's to home depot for reading the reviews and correcting the problems with the manufacturer.

Smells like #1, works like #2
Left this junk overnight in my van and the next morning it smelled like a litter box. Wood feels flimsy and cheap, splinters if you breathe on it and sanding it makes it worse. I am beyond angry they sell this garbage, especially with the years of negative reviews that have been confirmed by my horrible experience. Avoid avoid avoid.

I've used this on several occasions when Birch wasn't necessary. Usually I'd give it 3 or 4 stars. Lots of voids, inconsistent veneers... HOWEVER The last time I bought this (which was for a client project) when I came to assembly I was shocked to find that IT WASN'T 3/4" THICK! It was under thickness, between 1/64" and 3/64". Absolutely appalled. In the attached picture, the ply is next to a 1x2x8 Premium Radiatta Pine Board, which measured a perfect 3/4" in thickness (on the reverse side the edges are flush)

The quality of this stuff varies and home depot changes product often. I've had sheets de-laminate after cutting, also expect voids. I'm disappointed in how often the venner varies. I attached photos showing the variance in the same stock I bought at different times. I do question why the different stock rotation. I never had a problem with the purebond brand which is American made not imported as with this product. Home depot looks for ways to increase the profit margin.

                Good Product :)
so far so good i have managed to build 2 nice cabinets with absolutely no problem. the wood feels really strong, and the wood never splintered on me and i only used a circular saw. im very happy with the product and i would definitely buy it again.

DO NOT USE to build furniture
When I build a piece of furniture, I typically use solid poplar 1-by boards and birch plywood to provide that look of wood underneath whatever finish I choose. This time, I saw the Sande plywood and decided to save a few dollars on the 8 sheets of 3/4 inch 4 x 8 foot hardwood plywood I needed, thinking it was the same quality as the birch plywood I've purchased from Home Depot in the past. BIG MISTAKE! I am not expecting this to be "Baltic Birch", the beautiful, expensive, void-free stuff that you use to make drawer sides with, but I am expecting it to be at least acceptable. This product is far from acceptable. There are huge voids in the plies, sometimes 3 plies deep. And there are sometimes knots in the veneer (even on the good side) that bleed right through 2 layers of sealer and 4 layers of paint! Not only are there significant voids in the layer immediately under the veneer (translation: it warps when you put any finish on it), there are large sections where the veneer isn't glued down at all! Note I said veneer. The outer layer of sheathing is no more than a 1/32nd of an inch thick. I am in the middle of a huge 13 foot x 9 foot fireplace bookcase project and the cabinet and bookcase surfaces, made with the good side of this product, are bubbling up after the first coat of sealer! (See the pictures) And unlike something you can just return, these flaws were not visible until I had cut the wood and was well along on the project. I've used half a tub of wood fill on the voids, but I'm going to have to get a glue needle to glue through the veneer on the counter-top sections that have bubbled up, and it STILL won't look like it would have had the board just been glued correctly when made. This is a $1000 (materials only) project that is completely marred by inferior, misrepresented hardwood plywood. I am mad as heck and I will be sure to tell folks in my instructables tutorials NEVER to buy this product.

                    I didn't have problems
Either HD has changed its sourcing, or the naysayers here are professional woodworkers who probably ought to be buying from pro suppliers. There were two references to this material coming from China; the sheets I got were made in Ecuador. I had a built-in garage cabinet project and selected this particular material in 1/2" thickness because it was actually less expensive than the 1/2" A/C sheets in the next shelf, which were full of patches on the A side and cracks on the C side. That project came out fine, although I simply primed and painted and did not get involved in 'fine finishing' at all. But I had some wood left over and built a couple of brackets for mounting a couple of loudspeakers to the wall. On these I sanded, stained and varnished. As someone else pointed out, this wood does exhibit a lot of 'fuzz' after sanding, but rather than trying to fix this early-on, I put the stain coat on (Minwax oil-based), and when the stain odor went away in a couple of days I put on a coat of water-base polyurethane satin varnish. Once that was dry I sanded lightly and the finish got very smooth... all the 'fuzz' got hard and sanded off. A second coat of the varnish made a nice finish with just the right amount of grain relief. My only complaint is wishing that these pieces did not carry stick-on labels, you have to wash the adhesive off with lacquer thinner or it will mess-up the finish.

I've been building cabinets for a couple of years and have used different brands of plywood. I've used "1/4, 1/2, and 3/4" inch thick plywood. I've used this particular plywood on three occasions for three projects (cabinets). This plywood is good to build cabinets and other wood work projects. I used it to build a podium (pulpit) for a church. I stained it with a water based stain, pecan color. See the pictures. Take time when choosing the sheet. Some get banged up and scratched. Also be careful when you sand it with a RO sander not to sand through the ply. So far, so good. If I run into a bad one, I will update review.

                    Wonderful Plywood
I use Sandeply for all kinds of cabinetry projects. It is pre-sanded and very reasonably priced. It also takes stain and paint finishes well.

                    Sandeplywood
This is some of the most beautiful yet durable wood. I built my wife a 20 cabinet shoe shelf with it and put on 5 casters. She is head over heels (and she has soooo many heels I have to build another one, maybe more.) in love with it. I must say for my first shelf from scratch, I did a heck of a job.

                      Sandeply Quality
I purchased two 4x8 sheets of Sandeply for a cabinet build. All of the edges fray like cloth and the surface gets fuzzy when just being touched while working with it. It doesn't smooth out with sanding, just gets worse. There are voids within the sheet that became apparent when cutting dados. This is very disappointing. I have never had a problem before with plywood (3/4") before from Home Depot.

Plywood was poor quality and splintered easily. Description says it is good for painting but was so rough that it looked terrible when painted. I ended up having to skim the sheets with compound so that it would have a semi-smooth surface. Will not be buying this product again.

This plywood is below bad. Any beveled cut at all and it tears to pieces. The insides litteraly crumble and fall out. No amount of prep work stops the veneer from chipping. If you run sandpaper across it more than once, the veneer disappears. Skip this fake hardwood and jump up to a better grade.
