It melts when it's hot outside
I used tire slime on my lawn tractor tire. It sealed up the leak but when it got hot outside the tire slime inside the tire melted and my tire went flat. The melted slime leaked out.

My Grandkids live with me. Their Mom is my caregiver. My oldest Granddaughter got a new bike for her birthday. She went camping with a friend and rode through a sticker patch, goatheads, bullheads whatever you call them. We had to air the tires up everyday. So we put in the slime. It is fairly easy to install. Kind of thick so you have to squeeze hard. Comes with a tool to remove the valve stems. Once we got it in Granddaughter rode it around for a while to distribute the slime. The tires are staying inflated now so it does work.

I've been a slime user for years! Living on the farm, I have several mowers, trailers, small tire equipment that always seems to pick up any stray nail, wire piece or random glass shard in the fields or yard. Slime is easy to use. Use the included tire valve stem remover, add the required oz. for the tire size, reinstall valve and pressurize to the correct lbs. Next, and this is important - drive the tire around so that the entire inside is covered in the slime sealant. This ensures a good seal!

There are probably at least 20 tires with Schrader valves on the equipment located on our rural property. There are also bicycles, some with Presta valves. Whether it is a tractor, wheelbarrow or emergency generator, leaks happen. It is a good idea to have spare Schrader valves on hand as one might disappear as it is being unscrewed from the tire or tube. In order to use Slime, the valve must first be removed and all of the air let out. I have successfully used Slime for a long time. It is likely that some will get on your hands as well as on the outer part of the tire or rim. It is not hazardous and it washes off completely with just water from a hose. It is important the the tire gets rolled right after the valve has been put back on and the tire inflated. Finally, it is important to rinse the Slime tube clean after each use. Having used Slime many times on many different types of tires, my experience has been that it stops leaks.

I have trailers, UTV’s, ATV’s, tractors, wheelbarrows and lawnmowers. I have my share of flats and slow leaks seems like for no reason. I don’t have time to drive to the tire place to get it fixed. Especially if over the weekend when I am trying to use one of the above. This sealant is easy to use; follow the directions and the amount per tire that is on the instructions. I use it mostly for slow leaks that I can’t seem to find. It doesn't fix them all, but most all the time it does a good job sealing these and letting me get back to work.

I have had two flat tires on my lawn tractor for some time due to slow leaks. I had to inflate the tires before mowing which required dragging out the compressor, running an air hose etc. This made mowing the acre more of a chore than before the flats happened so I decided to try this Slime tire sealant. I'm glad that I got it because it's very easy to use and it sealed the tires. It comes with very clear instructions on the label so that you can't lose them! Be aware that it won't seal punctures outside of the tread area (such as punctures in the sidewall).

Slime tire sealant works great and is easy to use no matter your mechanical skill level. The only tools required is a pump or compressor to inflate the tire. As per the easy to follow instructions, after installing the slime, the leaks stopped! I added more air to inflate the tire to the proper level and rechecked for leaks -none found! This product actually works well and as easily as advertised. And if that was not enough to impress me, it cleans up easily with water. My only complaint if I must make one is that I was to squeeze 8 oz. of Slime into the tire and despite the incremental measurements on the container's label, it was very difficult to see just how much I had applied and had to go by feel. All and all though, I am very pleased and impressed.

I use this in my riding mower and my utv. I have some older tires on a couple older pieces of yard equipment that HAD slow leaks that I could never seem to find. I added this stuff on a recommendation from a very helpful HD employee and my problems have been rectified. It completely stopped the slower leaks I had and the tires have been holding pressure for months now. Thank you and I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this to refill my winter emergency kit which I keep in the suv all year. we make sure it has blankets, some water and food and a sterno can for extra heat, along with a precharged battery charger, to make sure we are ready for any emergency. I needed to replace my equipment for filling a flat tire and this will work perfectly, as it is not under pressure we will not have to worry about it exploding due to changing weather coditions

This stuff is fantastic if you have a flat or want to prevent a flat. You can certainly use it to fix flats from small punctures, but you can also put it in ahead of time to seal new punctures almost immediately. First off, this is for tubeless tires only. To apply it, you need to deflate the tire (if it isn't already) and remove the valve core. The cap of the bottle has a valve core remover in it. Fit the included rubber tube to the top of the bottle and then over the valve. Squeeze in the appropriate amount, then reinstall the valve core and inflate the tire. There are recommendations on the bottle for how much to apply. I find the recommendations to be a little generous and usually use a little less. This is for use on tubeless tires on lawn movers/tractors, wheel barrels, utility carts, golf carts, ATVs and mountain bikes. DO NOT USE THIS ON CAR TIRES - it stays liquid and will slosh around causing imbalance and vibrations. Though it could seal a puncture and fix a flat, you would later have to remove the tire and remove all of the slime. Also, not for use on motorcycles, except maybe dirt bikes.

I've used this stuff for many years and if I could give it 10 stars, I would. If you have a riding mower or any other low-speed vehicle with pneumatic tires then you want this stuff. I put this stuff into my lawn tractor's tires that constantly leaked air and they never leaked again. I literally went years without having to add a drop of additional air. This stuff is just amazingly effective.

I have been using this product for years! It will seal any size tire with a air leak. I've sealed tires that had punctures almost 1/4 inch without a problem. It got me home more than once. Simply roll your tire so that the valve stem is toward the top of the tire. Remove valve stem core, and pump the slime into your tire. Then fill the tire with the proper air pressure and you're ready to go. You can remove the item that damaged the tire or leave it in if it doesn't create a safety hazard. Slime will remain liquid and seal holes for 2 years! I have this product in my lawn tractor, ATV, and Boat trailer. I carry a bottle in my car and truck at all times! It WORKS!

This is great stuff to have on hand for flats. I like to keep this in my truck in case I have a leak and need to limp along to a place to fix it. I also like using this for wheelbarrow tires, dolly tires, and lawn mower tires. It really helps slow leaks in my experience and helps the tire last longer without having to replace the tire or have it patched.

I've used Slime for 4 years now on my garden tractor tires and the yard cart that I tow with it. Lots of things around our property like to find their way into the tires and for years caused slow, frustrating leaks that forced me to stop working in order to fix a tire. Since I've been using Slime the annoying leaks are a thing of the past. I can adequately coat the inside of 4 tires with two cans. Haven't had to fix a flat or a leak in years now. It's a little pricey but for me it's been a one-time investment that's saved me far more in lost time than the cost of the bottles of Slime. I'll continue to use it on my lawn and garden equipment as long as it's available.

This is a great tire sealant for lawn mowers and utility trailer tires. Especially ones that are always catching on debris and needing patches, this a great pro active treatment. Easy to apply through the tire valve, air it up and rotate the tire and then you are good to go. You can use it before or after a puncture. It is a must have for any one that doesn't want a tire to slow them down. Great stuff.

Slime is one thing I always keep in my garage to be able to plug and seal up my flat lawnmower and wheel barrow tires. This is for Tubeless tires only. It repairs and prevents flats caused by punctures up to a quarter inch. You can use slime over and over on the same tire if you get another puncture for up to two years. I have used this on my riding lawnmower several times in the past which helped me get my yards mowed on time and I did not have to take my tire to the repair shop. It is very easy to use and mess free and water soluble for cleanups. For use in all tubeless tires, including cars, trucks, tractors, and ATVs, this sealant is compatible with Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems.

We use this in all of our tires on the ranch. It's easy to use and does stop a leak when a small hole punctures the tire. To use just deflate the tire completely. Check the approximant tire size to the chart on the bottle of Slime. Put that amount of Slime into the tire. Inflate the tire to the proper amount of air. Drive or pull the item with the tire around for about 10 minutes to coat the inside of the tire with the Slime. Great product.

Nothing is worse than finding a tire flat that prevents you from doing something. If you use tire Slime it probably would have stopped the flat. Having used the tire slime on many bicycle tires with much success and fewer flats, this slime is for mower,ATV,wheel barrel, golf cart and similar types of tires. It instantly seals punctures up to 1/4” in size, works in all temps, non flammable and non toxic and cleans up with water. Application is easy, just position valve to top of tire, remove valve core with the black included cap tool, deflate tire fully, remove the puncture object if you can, attach includes hose and squeeze in slime(amount depends on tire size),reinstall valve core and add air. You should move the tire around to verify seal and also check the pressure before use. This stuff really works and for a little prep and fill, this saves many grunts and groans from the sight of a flat tire. Keep a bottle or two in the garage, workshed or closet so you can be ready to keep the situation inflated.

Peace of mind. This bottle of Slime tire sealant is a lifesaver. In the past, I picked up a nail on my mower tire and it cost $25 to get it fixed and took 2 days to get it back. With this bottle, I can get back to mowing within minutes. The directions are easy to follow. It fits on the valve stem and puts the green slime into the tire. Spin the tire around to coat the inside and refill with air. It works Cleans up with water. The only downside to the process is that you need an air supply to re-inflate the tire. (4 stars) At home this is not problem but on the road, it might be. Either way, it is peace of mind that counts for me. The 8 oz. bottle is for mowers, motorcycles and wheelbarrows. If you are a homeowner, you need a bottle of this in your garage. Home Depot and Slime make that possible.

The first time I ever used this Slime tubeless tire sealant was on my lawn tractor after getting a flat tire years ago. It did, in fact seal the puncture. I then had another flat on a different tire. I again used the Slime sealant and again it worked. When I purchased a new tractor, they suggested I treat each tire with the slime sealant to prevent flats. It obviously worked because I've yet to get a flat on any of those tires after years of use. This is a great product that not only seals punctures on small tires, it also, in my experience, prevents flats from future punctures.

I'm a big fan of Slime. It does a great job of sealing up small punctures in tubes and tires, and it also helps a lot with slow leaks, as aluminum rims are so prone to do. I Slimed a troublesome tire on the car a year ago, and it has not been a problem since. Apart from automobiles, it's alsoa great flat preventative in bicycle tires, and any other kind of pneumatic tire, like on my garden wagon, which has held usable pressure since last year! This does not say that it is safe for pressure sensors ( there is another version that is. ) Also, to use this, you must disassemble the valve with the little tool provided, which is really not difficult.
