This infrared heater has an off position and two heat settings, 400 watts and 800 watts. There is no fan or thermostat on this heater, of which thermostat's usually do not work that well on this type of heater, because a thermostat would be located so close to the heat source, that it would almost always read hotter than the room temperature. This heater is not designed to be a whole room heater, just a spot area heater, so that you can keep the rest of the room at a lower temperature, while heating up the area that you are located at. I obtained more images to get a good look at the rear of the heater, the images do not show where the power cord is located, oh well, at least the images show an entire 360 view, which shows only one control knob. Infrared heaters can cause eye damage, and prolonged close up skin exposure is not suggested. For best results, place the infrared heater at least 5 feet away while in operation. It is best not to sleep with an infrared heater pointing directly at yourself overnight. This heater's low power settings make it fairly easy to avoid any infrared damage while in use.

We are very pleased with this heater. It is just the size that we were looking for. We use it in the garage and it does the job that we were looking for.
