My Lathe is just under a month old with less than 20 hours on it. The PCB unit has failed. Wen customer service is only 8-5 Central Time and their online contact form is a joke since once you fill it out you get an automated email asking for the same information that was on the form and if not filled out a 2nd time your claim will not be processed. This a very redundant and a huge waste of time. After jumping through multiple hoops Wen is sending me a complete PCB unit. Hopefully this one will last more than a month.

Received the item damaged. Broken in half. They say i have to return it to the store but i had back surgery and can’t lift it. No one willing to help. Store wouldnt help. The people at customer service were useless. Not sure what I’m going to do.

Unit arrived with a defect in the chrome on the headstock handwheel. Splinter into my hand. Purchase as gift. Definitely should take some classes for novices.

Works like a charm. Heavy duty. Easy to operate. RPM was not functioning. Called WEN -excellent customer service and replacement was sent out immediately.

Very nice machine. I would suggest store pickup, and not direct shipping. Otherwise, it runs well, seems sturdy, works great.

This lathe is a rock star. Plenty of power.

So happy with this lathe. It was setup perfect right out of the box. Run smooth and true. Really like the features such as reversible and variable speed.

This is a rebranded Grizzly GO844. It's got a lot of quality. Motor runs strong and quiet. The handles /tool holders are useless. The live and drive centers are painful - replace them. issue with Nova chucks and the drive being too long. It's not major.

Upgraded from the Wen 12x18 for VS. The quality of this model is noticeably better. these may be made by Grizzly or they share a manufacturer. Good power. The quill travel is respectable. It's a level of quality I did not expect.

The lathe arrived with two of the 4 bolts mounting the headstock stripped out and loose in the box. The spindle speed sensor was also defective BUT a call the WEN tech support and a new headstock and sensor were sent out immediately. Now that all is resolved, the lathe works great. Very smooth and quiet, plenty of power. Very happy with the lathe now!

My first lathe, and it has been great. I've been turning small bowls, wine stoppers, etc. with little problem. For a weekend warrior, this is a great mid-level machine.

Been turning for a month now. Very addictive. Been happy with my Wen so far.

For a personal shop, the machine is pretty good for the price. My complaints are that trying to find all of the typical tools needed for it instead of having them included was a little pain. If you don't have a lot of pressure coming from the stationary end, the chuck tends to slip. Other than those things, it is a good machine.
