I bought 2 of these grab bars, one at 12 inches and one at 24 inches. The 12 inch one was mounted vertically beside a door. and it was mounted to a 2X4 stud. Not a lot of wood to hit with screws. I did not want to use anchors. I wanted to get 3 screws in it for a safe secure mount. I drilled holes where needed in the flange and stainless is NOT easy to drill. A few more pre-drilled holes in the flanges would be helpful for different mounting situations that may occur. The 2 foot bar was mounted horizontally and everything worked out great for it with no modifications needed.

I purchased the Wingit's Grab bar, the Wingits GBW40 fasteners and Apache drill. After carefully measuring to make sure no studs were going to be hit, I simply drilled the two 11/4 mounting holes and followed the directions. Installed in less than 10 minutes and is securely mounted to the porcelain tile in my shower. I had tried a type of very expensive, "glue on" grab bar but it kept falling off after several installs while meticulously following the manufacture's directions. This is the only way to go in my opinion as it's easy to mount, water proof and you will have full confidence in the bar not failing and coming loose in your shower.

Easy to install and the quality is better than from what I have seen. I plan to get more.

The "knurled" grab bar is much too rough to hold onto. It's has diamond cuts on the grab bar. I returned it.

The bar was as advertised and no problem to install.

I bought a 36" and 24" grab bar. One came with screws and the other did not. Also - no instructions but I assume I should use silicone seal around the covers.

This product has a good appearance, seems very well-made and was relatively easy to install.

My brother has recently become house bound and need assistance of a visiting nurse. When she did her assessment of his home she suggested that grab bars be installed for safety reasons. We tried to locate them locally and had no success. Thanks to the helpfulness of our salesman at a different Home Depot we were able to sit with him and order them on line to be dilvered to our home. Great CUSTOMER SERVICE. We got delivery in a very timely manner. My husband installed the bars per instructions and found the product to exceptional in construction and strength. I would definitely suggest this product to anyone.

I'm using 3 of these in a walk-in shower ... an 18 in., 24 and 32 in. The shiny chrome makes them decorative and the knurled grip give you security without the roughness. With a multitude of lengths and finishes available, one should find the style that fits your decor while getting the benefit of a sturdy product.

Solid, well made bar. No instructions included. Should have a few more holes in built-in mounting plates. I bought two and mounted one in each bathroom, on a wall over a tub/shower combo. Looks great and the slip resistent knurled finish in center of bar works well. Polished stainless steel looks like chrome - it matches my other chrome-like bathroom plumbing fixtures.

I was extremely please with the grip on this grab bar. My mom is elderly and has sensitive hands. The other grab bars I bought were to rough on her skin. The wingit bar gave a great grip and did not tear up her skin. It is also a good looking bar. You can tell it is a high quality stainless steel. I also used their RES grab bar fastener- excellent product. Made installing the grab bar a breeze.
