DON'T BUY THESE. I have no idea why these have been rated so high, except that they look fairly decent in the box and match flooring. Almost the minute we installed these baseboards they started to delaminate at the cut seams or at the bottom of the board. Now we have literally dozens of spots on the boards where the "grain" is peeling off, giving the floors a dilapidated look. I've gone around with a brown Sharpie to cover the particle board, but it looks awful. We are going to have to replace all the baseboards with painted wood that matches our walls instead--we'll never buy this product again.

Was sceptical as the baseboard is quite shallow compared to the size I normally install. Surprised at how classy it looks installed with Saratoga hickory flooring, a less is more situation. I would definitely purchase this again.

Unfortunately this product needs help and honestly if it weren't for my desire to try to finish out the room more quickly, I would not have bought these especially now after working with them. So I guess part of this is on me for my laziness. I ordered 2 pieces and both arrived in good condition and several other trim pieces to finish out a room I had just installed flooring on. Of them only the transition pieces (reducers, stair nose, etc) were both better quality and clean to install. The base board and the quarter round were a big disappointment. Both seemed to have a cheaper "paper" veneer on them meaning if you were not super careful (and even still if you are) with your install it would show. Here's what I experienced when working with it. When cutting you should use painters tape to help prevent tear out even when the similar cut with wood would not result in any problems. Definitely pre-drill your holes and be careful not to get too close as if the drill even lightly grazes the surface, the paper will immediately tear and you'll spend lots of fun time fixing it up. Also good luck getting a clean cope on the ends if you are attempting to get a clean look on your inner corners. As the outer surface is just paper, you have very little structure in the material to actually keep the piece looking good and tight. For outer corners the edge of the cut paper has white edges which shows even if you mate things perfectly on your cut. Overall, big disappointment and not a product I would recommend. If I had the time to redo this, I would buy wood, find a matching stain and finish and do this the right way. After a lot of clean up work the finished product actually looks decent but this is more due to my effort than to the ease of the product to work with.
