the past year and a half i have never been impressed at the inventory, but its a small store. I always could feel the distain the employes had for there jobs, and mostly 8:50 pm shoppers. I must say something has changed in the past few months for the good. Huge change in the helpfulness , and willingness to ask customers if they need help finding anything. The cashiers i noticed the most positive change in my last 5 visits with mostly being courteous and acting like they did not hate there jobs, and me for shopping there. I recommend to any one who had a bad trip to this depot to give them another chance you, will feel the positive changes.

We went to Home Depot for a grill and some gardening supplies and were blown away by the service at the Lincoln Park location. Joe, the store manager, gave us great advice about the grill we should get, and found everything we needed and gathered it for us by the checkout while we finished our shopping on the gardening roof (which is amazing with a great view of the Chicago skyline). Once we were finished, Crystal, another manager, checked us out using a scanner right where we were standing and made the whole process painless, considering how much stuff we had. She even helped us load everything into our car! They were both very kind and it was all around a great shopping experience

It was more difficult to find items in this store relative to other Home Depots due to less clear organization and aisle labeling. However, salespeople were readily available and the saleswoman I spoke to was able to point me in the right direction.

Aaron was extremely helpful. He sought me out to ask if I needed help, which I did. He helped me and I was able to get my mission accomplished in less time.

I'm a life-long city person and renter through and through, and have minimal home improvement experience (unless we count, like, changing your shower curtain). My boyfriend and I decided we wanted to paint the kitchen and bathroom in our new apartment, but I had some anxiety about this project. Lizzy saw us looking at paint chips and asked if we needed help, and when I explained our situation to her, she went above and beyond in giving us advice (what tools to buy, what brands to pick, how to pick good colors) and reassuring us that we COULD do this and that we'd be so happy we did. She described the colors she'd painted each of the rooms in her place and how much fun she had doing so. By the time we walked away from the paint counter with our samples and tools, my anxiety had been replaced with faith and hope. If you need wall painting advice, FIND LIZZY!

came in for something, was told right away where it was, associate help get right one, cashier was happy, paid AND GOT OUT ALL IN 5 MIN! EASY :-)
