The screen door looks great and we love the fact that with the push of a button, the top window slides down and reveals the screen so easily. We did have to have it installed, which cost us some more money, but we wanted the screen door so we wouldn't have the front door left open allowing bugs/flies to come in our house. With the screen, we can now get a nice breeze.

The hiding screen is great. The door hardware wears quickly and needs adjustment more than this level of product should. The pictures are the parts for the door closer which failed just over a year of ownership. The warranty covered the part but I still had to pay a "Processing Fee" of $9.00 since it was more than a year old to have them ship me a replacement to this obviously defective part.

I installed 2 of these with an inside swing at my condo in Florida (and mom's). Aside from the fact that Andersen customer service told me that none of their doors can be installed with an inside swing and they are wrong. A little common sense in reversing the hinges during the installation is all that was needed. The doors look great and although not the quality of my pella doors up north, it is a very good quality for the price. As other reviewers mention, unless the screen window is open a little or the front door is opened, it does not close by itself as it provides for a very air seal between the doors. Minor issue.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bucks13 Perfect for all seasons! Hard install.
The final product, once installed, is great. The retractable screen is perfect for all seasons and not having the screen at the bottom of the door makes this door very pet friendly. It is great to not see the screen at all until you pull the top window down. Installation is pretty difficult. It took two "semi-handy" guys roughly 4 hours to install the door. I suggest to pay for installation unless you have installed a screen door before. If you install yourself, be prepared to use door shims for sizing adjustments.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JammyJTown Better than the door before
I had this door installed for me, so I can't really comment on ease of installation. I do like the ability to adjust the screen from the entire top half of the door to just a little bit of air coming in. Doesn't seem as sturdy as the screen door this door replaced, but for now it seems to be doing it's job. Setting it to stay propped open and then trying to release the hinge was a bit tricky.

Though the directions are almost too simplistic the steps to install are simple and easy to follow. Once installed the door looks very nice and is of good quality.

This is a great storm door that has the type of features that makes it a value add to our home. Installation can be a bit complicated, but some of that is due to the flexibility built into the door such as the option of a left or right hand opening.
