Answer:
The door has two glass panels (top and bottom). The top panel slides up and down. When down, a screen mesh covers the upper portion of the door.

This came with a pink bag containing " Hinge/ Sweep Mounting Screws and Drill Bit." It also has 3 things that appear to be Velcro or maybe 2-sided tape (I didn't open the bag so not sure). I installed my door and it's working without issue. Drill bit aside, what is the other stuff for? Unless I'm missing something, they're not called for in the installation directions.

Answer:
The double sided tapes included in the door mounting kit is used for the hinge shim, only if applicable. It is only used if the door has a slight gap on the side and for the door to go plumb on jamb. If the door is completely installed and functions well, you may discard the other parts. - Hazel

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 317 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excited about our screen door! The screen door looks great and we love the fact that with the push of a button, the top window slides down and reveals the screen so easily. We did have to have it installed, which cost us some more money, but we wanted the screen door so we wouldn't have the front door left open allowing bugs/flies to come in our house. With the screen, we can now get a nice breeze. August 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Functional door, Questionable Components The hiding screen is great. The door hardware wears quickly and needs adjustment more than this level of product should. The pictures are the parts for the door closer which failed just over a year of ownership. The warranty covered the part but I still had to pay a "Processing Fee" of $9.00 since it was more than a year old to have them ship me a replacement to this obviously defective part. August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bought 2 I installed 2 of these with an inside swing at my condo in Florida (and mom's). Aside from the fact that Andersen customer service told me that none of their doors can be installed with an inside swing and they are wrong. A little common sense in reversing the hinges during the installation is all that was needed. The doors look great and although not the quality of my pella doors up north, it is a very good quality for the price. As other reviewers mention, unless the screen window is open a little or the front door is opened, it does not close by itself as it provides for a very air seal between the doors. Minor issue. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great storm door great storm door. clean looking, now I can slide the upper glass window to let fresh air in and keeping the bugs out! July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2hr install? I don't think so. If you done like 100 of these yeah. Nice door. Only thing I would have done is cut my hinge side so there isn't this huge gap at top. Door closes and seals but the gaps are nuts!. Will see how this holds up. First metal door owned. Also for all the Hassel why dosent this company just make lh door and a right hand door and get it over with!. October 22, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed Added this door to our back deck, and not impressed with the quality. Our other storm doors are Pella and have held up beautifully with a family of 6. This one has several parts that seem flimsy and it is VERY difficult to get the screen down. I'd recommend spending the extra money and getting a Pella storm door. We would have, but Pella didn't offer a self-storing screen in the 32" width & color we needed. October 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product appealing look and sturdy, worth every dime. I had it installed by Home Depot October 20, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I'll never buy Anderson products again! First, let me preface this by saying that I'm a contractor, and am perfectly comfortable with tools and instructions in my hands. That being said, I've always wanted to have the ability to purchase Anderson products, this time around I decided I was going to spend the extra money on a "good product". I should've kept my money in my pocket. 1. The instructions are the absolute worst instructions I've ever seen, and I shop at IKEA from time to time. To have worse instructions than IKEA, you're really doing something, like you're actually trying to provide bad instructions. 2. The unit I purchased left or right, so the door handle and lock needed to be drilled. Hey Anderson, here's an idea, why don't you put a little crease in the door jam so the installer knows where to place the template? Seriously, how hard would that be? 3. How about a little larger area to mount the closing system on the door? All in all this door is like a lot of women I've dated in the past...It looks good, but it's trash. Good luck in your future endeavors Anderson, you won't see my money again. October 17, 2016
