          Should be called "Temp Seal"
This product does not work in wet areas. I tried using the 5.5oz tube in my shower twice. I spent a lot of time making sure the area was dry and that the old silicone was completely off my tile before applying. The first time it cracked and fell apart within two days. So I tried again and made sure to wait three days before using the shower. This time it started falling apart within three showers. The product is holding up fine in areas that don't see much water.

Thank you for posting your feedback on DAP Kwik Seal. Kwik Seal is an acrylic-latex (water-based) formula, not a "silicone" based formula. Based on your commentary, it would appear to signal that there may be some concerns with the application site. Loss of adhesion to the substrate as described in your commentary would suggest that there is still a bond-breaker on the existing surface (silicone sealant or its residue). As is the case for this and all similar non-silicone-based formulas, it is not recommended for application to an existing application of silicone or where silicone residue may be present. Because silicone and its residue are classified as a "bond-breaker" (a surface that is too slick to permit proper bond formation), proper adhesion/performance would not be expected. Normal cleaning and surface preparation methods are not likely adequate to address this condition. At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you and to provide you with guidance on how to best proceed. Disintegrating caulk after water exposure
I've used other DAP caulk and I've not encountered this problem before. I used the Kwik seal to adhere and caulk in the side backsplash of the new vanity top and it looked great, until the supposedly waterproof caulk was introduced to water and completely disintegrated and started seeping out of the grooves. I'll need to remove and restart the entire caulking with a better silicone product.

                Not waterproof
I re-caulked my shower and waited 24hour for it to dry… it split in half. I thought maybe it was user error so tried again and waited over 24 hours for it to dry. Came off faster than the first time.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We are sorry to see your low star review on DAP Kwik Seal Kitchen and Bath Adhesive Caulk. Based on your commentary indicating: "it split in half" would suggest that there may be some instability in the surfaces that were being filled and/or the product was being applied too thickly (which can result in uneven drying/tension and cracking). At your convenience, please contact DAP’s Technical Customer Service Department at 888-327-8477 so that we can obtain some additional information from you about your project and to suggest an alternate (more flexible) product. Every day it is painting with water.
When are you going to dry? What do you do if it melts all the time? I did applied this 1 week ago, and I had waited for 24 hours to dry, but it is melting so far.

Not Water proof. Not for bath and shower.
Not sure how Dap is getting away with false advertising. This is not waterproof. After showering once the entire thing peeled off, although i left it to cure for 3 days. Useless for bathroom and shower. Use real silicone caulk instead. Looks like a class action lawsuit might be in order for lying to customers.

Used in shower and within 2 weeks cracks are forming. Not flexible enough for shower. Will redo with silicone caulk.

Thank you for posting your feedback. We're sorry to see your low star review on Kwik Seal. Based on your commentary, it would appear to suggest that the DAP Kwik Seal may have been applied to a contaminated surface. The most common contaminant is a previous application of 100% Silicone. Because silicone and its residue are classified as a "bond breaker" (a surface that is too slick to permit proper bond formation), proper adhesion/performance would not be expected.
