          A:  I had this grab bar installed in my new shower. I do not know I about a pool but I imagine it would be safe, ask a pool store . I am sure they know for sure.Good Luck

            The Bar is Great.. Their Anchors are NOT!
            These bars feel sturdy and safe and we like the peened finish because it looks good, has good grip, and doesn't get smudge marks very easily. Where it went wrong is they advertise WingIts anchors to mount the bar. We decided to try these out because they were recommended by Glacier Bay and they were awful and difficult to work with. Their recommended Apache200 bit was garbage as well and left a chipped and jagged hole. We finally pulled them and used regular pull toggle anchors instead.

              This Glacier Bay grab bar is well made and easy to install. It's a VERY solid and useful addition to any shower. Highly recommended!

              These grab bars are made of high quality stainless steel and are finished very nicely with polishing and peening. I wish Glacier Bay offered their own secure mounting system for mounting in drywall and tile. I used the Moen SecureMounts (sold separately). I had to drill out the holes in the mounting flanges in order for the holes to align with the SecureMount pattern. Next time I will use Wingits. Overall, the Glacier Bay product is excellent.
