The installation is easy if the dimensions are correct. I bought a 34" wide door to install in a 36" opening.
The 3/4" frame in the description is the door only. The mounting frames are 1" so my install including the gap for the hinge was 36 1/4" wide and did not fit inside the door frame. The specifications should include overall width of door and mounting frame.

The door was fairly easy to install by myself. The only problem was that I didn't realize that I needed to order the special bit to use on the screws. So when you order this product, make sure to order the bit.

I had measured before buying and had no problem with the installation. It does take two people to manage to move the door in place and to hold the side braces for drilling, otherwise it was no problem at all. It has been in place since June 3 and has really improved my security and the look of the front porch area.

My Son purchased this door for me as an Father's Day gift. It was easy to install with the proper measurements and tools. It's well put together and looks great.

Great for a budget and easy to install. The mesh was a little large and let some bugs in so we hot glued a mesh screen to the inside of it and problem solved!

The door is simple but works for the purpose of keeping my dogs inside and allowing a breeze. It was easy enough to install, but you have to have experience, it didn't fit our door perfectly so my husband had to do some cutting. It is good quality for the price.

Worst purchase because with the powder coated finish, when it rains, it damaged my exterior door that I've had for five years. Now I have to replace both doors which is very costly. So I'll spend another $1000+ for my exterior door and more than $100 for the storm door. I should have never put a cheap storm door with an expensive exterior door; I'll stick with interchangeable glass and screen storm doors. I definitely would not recommend this product, so spend the extra money to avoid more unexpected costs in the future.

The security door which is meant to function as a screen door is not for those of us in Maine. The screening has holes wide enough for mosquitoes and black flies to enter easily through. The door on a whole was easy to install and looks great. I would recommend using regular screws the same size instead of the one-way screws that come with it. The door is up and can not be removed because of these screws. HD customer service says I need to buy screening and try to attach it to the door. This is a poor fix and very inconvenient as well as changing the appearance
