Customer Questions & Answers

Can the two lladders be separated and safely used by themselves?

Asked by: DM
As specified on the ladder, the company states that the extension part should not be used by itself for safety guessing instability and inability to support load as specified on product as a whole.

Why are some of your aluminum ladders rated weather resistant and a similar ladder made of same material is not

Asked by: Anonymous
Sounds more like salesmanship. All aluminum is weather resistant.

32 ft. Aluminum Extension Ladder with 250 lb. Load Capacity Type I Duty Rating is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from can not bring it down because the flippers are plastic the plastic flippers catch on the steps so they won't slide past so you can't bring the ladder down. needs metal flippers. bad design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheep design. The ladder it's self is fine. It's pretty sturdy and there is no more bounc to it than any other 32 foot ladder when it is fully extended. Ladder worked great the first handful of times it was used. The problem is the flippers on the rung locks are plastic so after the first hand full of times they start to get a grove notched in them and will no longer slide down the rungs. Trying to get a fully extended 32 footer off of a building when it won't come down isn't fun. For this price it is unacceptable that they couldn't spend an extra 5 dollars on the parts to make the flippers metal and avoid this sinario.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Ladder Bought this ladder for several reasons... to hang Christmas lights, clean out gutters and paint the upper level of my bi-level home. Extended the ladder to about 26 feet. I climbed up (me weighing 180lbs) feeling really secure. About half way up it had a typical little nonrepeating bounce to it but nothing that made me feel as if the ladder was unsafe or unstable. After I stopped climbing, there was no sway in the ladder and it felt solid. Additionally I purchased the Werner Leg Leveler system PK70-1 which works great with this specific ladder. Install of the leg leveler took me about 20-25 minutes. I am fairly in shape, not a gym goer or everyday exerciser but am able to handle heavy weight. Even with the ladder retracted to its 16' length...the 60+ pounds were awkward to handle by myself when raising or lowering from the house. It wasn't impossible but it felt unstable and top heavy. lifting it sideways and carrying it was not so much the issue. The pulley system is great if you know how to use it...many don't. Price is reasonable for size as everyone will see...the longer the ladder the higher the price. I chose the aluminum ladder because the fiberglass one, despite being able to hold 50lbs more it does cost $20 more and weighs nearly 10 pounds more for one with same length capabilities. Ladder with leg leveler photo attached.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight but a little bouncy This is a decent 32' ladder. It's lightweight (I can carry it around and set it up myself no problem, and I'm not a big guy). It has good stability on level ground and has good skid protection on the feet (pavement or dirt). However the ladder gets pretty bouncy at a 3/4 full extension or more. I'm only 185 lbs and it gets a little concerning at times. I wouldn't want to be a 250 lb guy 20-30' up on this ladder. Otherwise, I can easily reach the gutters on a 2 1/2 story custom colonial without even fully extending and since it's lightweight it's easy to adjust and move around. The price is a bit high, but they all are at this size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight and strong Did the job getting to my two and a half high story gutters and getting up to a high tree with multiple broken branch as high as the house. For the less experienced DiY'er, two people are a must to jack up this extension ladder. Because it was lightweight, I convinced a friend to haul it on our padded shoulders one mile to my home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 duds in a row . I used the first one only 3-4 times, it stuck and would not come down. Swapped for a new one. Then the next day, on my first attempt after extending it, AGAIN it would not come down. The plastic is not smooth and catches on the rung.
