Rude Store Associate in Flooring
I went in to inquire about window film and the associate that I approached was very rude and condescending. He clearly seemed bothered that I had interrupted him while he was looking at his cell phone. He pointed to the product and told me it was "over there" and happily pawned me off to another associate for help. When I was done picking my product, I calmly approached him later and inquired about the service that he'd just provided. He continued to sit in his chair, rocking back and forth with his hands and cell phone in his lap) and rather than take accountability for what I expressed, politely, to him, preferred to go toe-to-toe with me in a battle of wits. His customer service skills aren't lacking - they were non-existent! The only saving grace was the employee that he pushed me over to who happily helped and was patient. I asked for his name and he told me it was "D". I clearly noted the name on his badge and repeated what he said while he peered at me certainly, intentionally, not wanting to tell me his real name.
About him, I called for and complained to a store manager who said they'd address the matter with him. While I think he was sincerely apologetic for the experience, I am writing corporate to let them know exactly what was said, what happened, and what kind of person they have working for them and manning a specialty sales desk.
Never have I encountered such a poor attitude from anyone in customer service. This was unacceptable. Thankfully, it isn't my Home Store. I would not deal with him again.

Customer Service
The Supervisor Mr. Phil (Gurnee store) was awesome, which is a word I hardly used. He was very helpful all the way and made my project work out very well. A decent, polite human being! Who knows how to treat a customer and I believe people in general. I hope this feedback gets to his manager. Wish there were more Mr. Phils throughout the Home Depot and all other stores!!!

Some good suggestions
I was planning on paying more on a project I was working on and the Homedepot worker was able to problem solve some delemas I was having and made a better suggestion so I could better complete my project more efficiently and at the same time save me money.

Great employee
I recently had the extreme pleasure of being waited on by a young man by the name of Alex at the Vernon Hills, Illinois, Home Depot. He was very efficient, friendly and helpful and he offered, and did, load my car for me with the mulch that I had purchased from the garden center. As a senior citizen I greatly appreciated that and would certainly look for
him again to check me out next time I shop there. In fact, later on I walked into the store and purchased something else and he waited on me again and was again very friendly. Kudos to him!
