Questions & Answers

will this channel bend in an arc around panel?

will this channel bend in an arc around panel?
Asked by: karl
Lexan is a pretty rigid material. I don't believe it would bend cold, but it you are an expert fabricator you may be able to apply heat to achieve a gentle arc.

Can these panels be stood upright side by side to create a wind break on my outdoor patio?
Asked by: Jay
Yes, it will work in light winds only. But if you need a wind break it would most likely require some kind of supporting structure.

To me it looks like this u-channel is 96 in long and is formed out of 1/4 thick material. I want to know how wide this channel is and how tall the U is. As illustrated, it looks like one leg of the U is taller than the other. Please give complete dimensions.
Asked by: Cliff
Sharp eyes Cliff, I missed that. I have not purchased this product yet, but needed to know the answer too so I pulled the pic into my CAD program and scaled it. I can't give exact numbers, but the back is about 1/64" longer than the base and the front is about 1/32" shorter. The front leg also angles in to pinch tight. If the sheeting is actually 1/4" thick, this trim is basically a 1/4" wide as well.

What is this item used for

I am thinking on using the poly sheet on a pergola roof and want to ensure that I order all of the relevant material at once.
Asked by: Jacqui
Mostly as a substitute for glass. Especially where glass fabrication would be difficult. It can be cut or machined and bonded to create elaborate structures or containers. Aquariums etc.
