For use with ceiling fans that utilize 3/4 in ID (Interior Diameter) ceiling fan extension downrod.
Tapered threaded end (thread spec 3/4"-14NPT) ensures more stable connection
Offers a unique 2-symmetric lock system which provides much better durability and safety than other downrods with a 1-lock system
Manufactured using no-gap-craft, a design system that handles higher pressure than other downrods

Worked Great To extend my fan

This was a nice solid bar. As you can see from the picture the rod is 18” long. I had difficulty getting the rod to tread into my motor treads deep enough to put the safety pin in place. I had to use some anti-seize on the threads to get the rod to go deep enough. But it was not too difficult. The top of the fan blade is now 22” from the ceiling (after installation). This worked out great to install my fan below my garage door.

Perfect Fit

The 18 inch download in Matte Black is a perfect fit for most ceiling fans that use a 3/4 inch stem. The Black color is matte, which is soft and muted, not Glossy. Be sure to choose the correct color when purchasing. The stem comes with all the pre-drilled holes that you would need for a perfect adaption to your fan system. The stem also has the holes that are required for the Ground Wire connection. The other holes are made to accept the stem pin that actually holds the fan in place. One end of the stem is threaded for use on pre-threaded fans. The threads work perfectly with a 3/4 inch download. All the finishes are smooth with no burs to catch your finger. This is a great alternative to purchasing a download from the fan manufacture which is usually over-priced. Good product that works as advertised.

Excellent Replacement for Original

I needed a longer downrod for my patio ceiling fan, as the angled roofline combined with the original downrod made for a very low tolerance clearance for the fanblade tips. The 18 inch Matte Black Ceiling Fan Extension Downrod was just the ticket! Other than patching in wiring extensions to accommodate the additional length, it was the perfect solution. One end even featured a threaded tip if needed.

Very sturdy down rod.

I got this down rod for my ceiling fan in my shop and when i went to install it turns out it is the wrong size and I'm now waiting on the replacement part. I f this is right for your fan I say get it because it seems very strong and I want mine for a 15' high pitched ceiling and this would have been fine as I thought these downrods were all the same diameter.
