Yes, just finished one side of an old log home and it worked great. The finish was not as good as you'd get if using an Osborne brush, but it's much less labor intensive and cheaper to blast, as long as you keep your blast nozzle a good distance from the log. Too close and you'll feather the wood and peck it.
Can't answer your question. I use it in my vibrator to shine my reloading brass and it does a great job. It's not that expensive so buy a bag and try it.
