2-Person 20-Jet Valentine Spa with LED Waterfall Handrail

Overall, this product is perfect for two. The placements of the jets conform to a woman's structure on one side and a man's on another. But it really doesn't matter. Aesthetically, it looks great with the cover on and off. We are empty nesters and have a small backyard. I built a 6' x10' deck in the back corner of our yard and ran a 240 GFCI plug out there. The 20 jets are very powerful. You can turn them on and off. You can also adjust the flow of them. It has a cool light that changes colors and also has a strobe. The had rail shoots out water as well. The only disappointing thing is that I thought I had ordered it with blue tooth sound system but it did not come with one. Instead, I have an external Bluetooth speaker that I connect to my smart phone and that is just fine. It is a lot of trial as far as the controls are concerned but after about a week, you should have it all figured out. A few things of note. You have to get at least 4 people to get the hot tub off of the driveway and into the backyard. The delivery people will only place it on the edge of the driveway. They will not move it closer or into your garage for safe keeping if you don't your helpers right away. I was not happy with that. After taking the packing off the tub, we placed the tub on its side on 1 dolly (would be easier with 2) to get it thru the gate. Once inside, we put a blanket underneath, up righted it and slid it to the deck. Then we continued to use the blanket to pull (and push) it up. At that point, we just made sure it was on the right spot. I had stepping stones and grass so there was no way to use the dolly after we got it in. The blanket was key. The user manual provided is not specific to the actual model so it takes a bit of thought to figure out which system you have and how to do the connections. However, America Spa's customer service guy was very helpful with answering questions. Be sure to get your questions answered between Mon-Fri. They don't work weekends. The next day, I went to the hardware store to get 1 " PVC pipe and 8 AGW wires. It was fairly easy to connect the wires. I took off the panel. I ran them thru pipe with a couple of 90's and then connected it to the GFCI plug. It is important to protect the wires from any rodents. I hid the PVC pipe under the deck so it wouldn't look trashy. The moment of truth. I put the breaker on in the garage and then went back to the GFCI plug and flipped it. Power came on! Now it was time to add the water. It only takes 200 gallons so it only took 1 hour to fill. Be sure you take off the filter that is inside the tub and place your hose deep in there and add water. Don't just place the hose in the tub and fill it that way. You will get air in the line and may have to drain it. Then screw the filter back in. (This is after soaking your filter in water for a good hour). Now I turned on the jets but nothing happened. So I turned off the power and tried again. Still nothing. In the manual I read that it was frustrating to many new hot tub owners that the jets would not work. I probably had an air lock. Well it was Saturday and I could not call customer service until Monday. I just left the power on. Lo and behold, about 8 hours later I hear sound coming from the tub. The jets were running! The next day, I was in there enjoying my tub with a cold one. Keeping it clean is fairly easy. You just purchase a spa kit from any pool supply store that has chlorine, shock, scale cleaner, and some other product that gets rid of the rings at the top of the water line that can form. Shock it after every use. Add your chlorine at least once a week. Since it is only 200 gallons, you need less than a 1/4 teaspoon. Separately, you will need to purchase an extra set of test strips because my kit only came with 2. I also bought spa anti-foam because sometimes when you run the jets full blast you get a lot of foam. That stuff works immediately. Also, I bought a protective conditioner for the cover. I live in Texas so we have extreme heat. It took about 20 weeks to get it since they built it from scratch. You have to be patient! I am very happy with the purchase.
