Bill, Thanks for the question, this is an Alcove tub, the information on the Home Depot site is incorrect, we will work with their digital team to have corrected. We do not offer an Alcove tub in an Americast material you would need to view our different Acrylic tubs to chose from. These can be best viewed directly on the American Standard website. I have a son who is 6-ft 3-inches tall and 320-lbs.  We are going to put a new bathtub in our house.  He does only showers in the tub (i.e. he does NOT fill the tub with water to bath).  Can a 320-lb man stand in a Princeton series Americast tub safely?

All enameled steel tubs are tested to the ASME A112.191.1 standard which requires that the tub meets a 292lb static load.

The tub has a nice non slip bottom. The only drawback was that the tub bowed on the back middle edge, while the four corners were level. But the installer was able to correct it some.

American standard changed the pattern of the tubs. After waiting a week for the order the bottom pattern was not what was pictured. I called American Standard and was informed it was changed two years ago, however the images have not been updated on the website.

There were several issues with the tub. We wanted a tub that was a bit wider to use as a shower and tub. The extra width is just a wider edge near the wall. The tub dimension is the same as a standard tub, but the price is higher. The biggest issue was the tub itself. We had to return the tub due to chips and cracks in the edges of the enamel.
