About This Product

Prevent carpenter bees from drilling holes in your home or wooden posts using this Bees N Things Hanging Carpenter Bee Trap. This clever trap catches the carpenter bees in your area, keeping them from damaging your siding or other wooden structures. The wooden body naturally attracts carpenter bees to the unit and avoids trapping other insects. Entry holes on 3-sides of the wooden block allow the bees to access the trap but not easily find their way out. They are directed into the plastic jar, from which they cannot escape. Simply unscrew the trap reservoir to empty the captured bees. Hang this trap with the included hook or simply rest it on a level surface. Hang or place this trap near the damaged areas and its 5 ft. to 15 ft. effective radius will do the rest. Protect your wooden structures by eradicating carpenter bees with this Hanging Carpenter Bee Trap.

          Worked like a charm
Had a persistent problem with carpenter bees drilling into the cedar siding of my screened in porch. I hung this trap and caught 6 of them in about a month. Posted a photo but it's hard to see them all in the plastic box. As a DIYer I looked at this and figured I could make one but it's so easy to just pay for it and hang it up!

              Most Effective Trap
This trap is the first trap I've had success with in catching pesky carpenter bees. All other traps I've used have not worked. Wish I found this trap earlier before the damage they inflicted on my pergola and swing set. Now it's time to fill the holes.

                Easy and non toxic
I set up 2 traps and over the course of a few weeks caught about 30 carpenter bees. I didn’t have to use chemicals and I just installed on deck where the bees had already drilled holes. Would highly recommend these.

                  Bees are gone
We had replaced our mailbox post that was infested with abt 8 carpenter bees and put this down at that same time at the bottom. Bees were not happy that their home was gone but they quickly discovered the trap and are gone. I was worried they would eat our new post but they are gone now!

                    Patience and it works!
I have an old farmhouse in upstate NY we are replacing the roof on in phases as it’s costly. We recently took down some trees around the house and the carpenter bees are crazy. My husband found this at Home Depot. First few days we didn’t have much success then this baby filled right up!!! Literally went from having them swarm all over even after spraying to not a single one.

                      Worked Great!
We have caught so many carpenter bees in these traps. I use them for multiple years and have had great success. I recommend them for a pesticide free answer.

The thing works! You need a starter bee though.
I tried a couple of locations until I trapped a bee. Once I had one in the box, others quickly joined them, and my back porch was much quieter. I suggest that you capture the first bee manually, put it in the trap, and let the trap do the rest. Also - I had to tape the bottom shut or it would fall off. Do that first!

                          Well worth it.
Easy installation. Easy to understand directions. Within a hour had my first bee.

                            worked great
I hung the product right next to the carpenter bee holes, plugged the holes with the cork, and once I caught my first bee, I caught 9 more. works great, if used correctly
