Hi cp - This valve is intended for a direct connection to diverters and shower mixing valves without elbows and nipples, not shower heads. It is designed to allow flow control to the shower valve without shutting off water supply to entire home. The on/off flow control requires a screwdriver for operation which helps protect against tampering and accidental valve operation.
