Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The Bruce - American Home - Ash is a solid 3/4" hardwood that is a tongue and groove. This product should be installed by using mechanical fasteners, it is NOT a Lock & Fold. We hope that this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Good morning Tim. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This floor has the same type of profile and gloss level as the CB2711. However, we cannot say that it will be an exact match because it is from a different product line. There can be a difference in the color as well as in the milling of the tongue and groove. The CB2711 is no longer available, it was discontinued in 2016. I do apologize for any inconvenience. Have a great day.
Good morning. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. When installing a solid hardwood floor cleats or staples are acceptable. Cleats actually seem to be the more commonly used fastener. The fasteners should be 1 1/2" - 2" long, cleats should be 16 gauge, staples should be 15.5 gauge. Fasteners should be inserted 1" - 3" from the end of the plank and then every 8" - 10" along the rest of the plank. Here is a link to the installation instructions for 3/4" solid hardwood flooring https://bit.ly/2vCxjCc I hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Yes, the hardwood can be sanded up to three times throughout the lifetime of the flooring.
Having only had this product installed in our home, we haven't had any issues with the wear. We have two German Shepherds and a toddler and it seems to be holding up well. Any type of hardwood is susceptible to wear or damage (dings, etc) if you're rough with it. We have some spots where there are depressions in the wood (hello, dropped golf clubs) but the polyurethane finish is still holding up and didn't crack. We do clean them regularly with the Bona brand hardwood cleaner. Not sure if that actually helps or not but it does give me some piece of mind. The manufacturer warranties are only going to cover gross failures in the finish, not damage caused by daily living. Basically, if you're on a budget this product is great. If you can afford it, go ahead and have unfinished hardwood floors installed and then stained/sealed.
Good Afternoon, Thank you for contacting us with your question. The corresponding stair nose for the AHS1100 is product #TS9AS46H. A sales associate at your local The Home Depot will be able to special order the transition piece on your behalf. We hope this information is helpful. Have a great day.
Good Evening Kay. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The model number for the American Home Series 3/4" x 3 1/4" is AHS1130 . This flooring is exclusive to the Home Depot. Have a great evening.
This is a solid hardwood product, it has very low VOC's. The manufacture is also CARB II compliant with all of their products, which is accordance with the air quality control board of regulations in line with California's guidelines. I hope this information is helpful.
Yes it is tongue and groove -- no, it is not prefinished on the bottom.
The plano ash strip is only available in the gunstock color.
