A:  I have used these products for 35 years and have never seen a spec sheet. find the manufacturer's website or call them black means UV resistant stick on tape means it will stick for a while on clean surfaces use a screw to make it stay in place for a long time sheet rock screws work well as they do not block the tyrap as bad.

A:  As mentioned by others here, in this case 'UV' does mean ULTRAVIOLET; i.e., resistant to ultraviolet rays. The description is even represented by the symbol in the lower right corner of the package label.

A:  UV means Ultra Violet Resistant [resistant to sun exposure] - Suitable for outdoor use.

A:  If you open the product image and look at the bottom right corner of the label shown you can see it says UV Resistant, as in Ultra-Violet. Most plastic will become very brittle when exposed to extended sunlight. This product can withstand direct sunlight.

A:  the sun will not cause the plastic to deteriorate. any time u see a black mount or ty rap it is UV resistant this will make it last longer in direct sunlight. In Atlanta where I grew up the sun is not as intense as where I live now Southeast Alabama. These are handy cable mounts.
