I love my Cuisinart
5.5 Qt. 12-Speed Brushed Chrome Stand Mixer which I have had now for a few years now. I love the fact that it has a timer on it & 12 speed which Kitchen Aid only has the 10 speed & talk about power on this stand mixer which is 800w vs the Kitchen Aid which only has the 325w so I am happy with my power house stand mixer by Cuisinart with a trusted name that you can rely on.

The timer was not working. It did not pick...
The timer was not working. It did not pick up small particles such as yeast if the yeast fell out of the dough as it was mixing. It seems that it had a lot of power but could not do the job. Maybe it was only this machine I got.

good value for the cost
The parts are snug and the unit is responsive to changes in beater and accessory speed changes. I found the unit/mixer to be well made with nothing rattling when running at top speed.

Fantastic mixer
This mixer is super powerful, better than my mom's KitchenAid. It comes with a great splatter shield. I love the feature that starts mixing slowly and gradually increases speed to avoid making a mess. I also have the food processor attachment which comes in handy.
The only downside is that I would have preferred to buy the 7 qt. mixer but it would not have fit under my cabinets.
