Broke off
I was using it and it broke off and the broken piece is stuck in the wood. I'm surprised that the DeWalt product was made cheaply. I love DeWalt but this was a miss.

Maybe its my inexperience in using these tools, or maybe I was using it inappropriately, but the countersink would slip and not work after just 3 or 4 holes. For a one time job its fine, but wouldnt make it a part of my tool box.

drills holes too large
I never got to the point where I was using this bit enough to see if it would break... BECAUSE THE HOLE IS TOO BIG! Its one thing to have a weak bit that breaks its a whole other thing to have a size 8 bit that drills like its size 9 or even 10. The hole this thing makes allows size 8 screws to just free fall into the hole! No thanks DeWalt... id like my screw to actually contact the wood and... hold things together.

I respect Dewalt tool company even though i have all Milwaukee 18v lineup.I have never had or used a Dewalt product that i couldn't rate highly. This countersink bit however has to be the worst piece of equipment i have ever seen. The bit does not spin true in any of my drills so i know it's the bit that is bad.The tip when spinning in a drill is one big out of round circle making it impossible to drill a hole properly.Probably the result of a tool supplier that has them made in China with no quality control.I cannot recommend this bit to anyone.
