It should either be removed or fully covered with a cementitious patch compound, then primed with a latex based flooring primer, and then rolled afterward using a flooring roller. The only recommended substrates for a gluedown installation are properly prepared concrete, gypsum (lightweight concrete), or underlayment grade plywood. Hello WillJ and thanks for your question. The DuraDecor Polished Pro Golden Glow Luxury Vinyl Plank needs to be adhered directly to the concrete subfloor, and does not require any underlayment. However, the concrete should first be leveled using a floor-leveling compound, then primed using a latex based flooring primer, and also rolled afterwards with a flooring roller. Hello Penny - thank you for your inquiry. Technically, this product is designed to be used with a pressure sensitive adhesive for a flooring application. (It could be possible to adhere to a vertical wall surface with a construction type adhesive - however, this would void the product warranty installing it in this manner.) DuraDecor has the Weekend Warrior product. This product line is a self adhesive product that can be installed on a floor or wall application. Hope this helps answer your question. Thank You -
