The chain has a working load limit of 255 lb. Multiple pieces of this chain would still total a WLL of 255 lbs., it would just spread the load over all of the pieces.

Does Home Depot cut it for you according to how much you need? For e.g. If I need 2 feet of it.

I would use a stud finder to fix the joists in your ceiling, screw eyebolts into those, and hang your chains from those.
