A:Â You can, but depends on the weight, sections of 5 ft are kind of wide, and the strength of the tube your going to use. Don't forget how to setup the chain to the wall.

A:Â I would use a stud finder to fix the joists in your ceiling, screw eyebolts into those, and hang your chains from those.

Tie-Down loops!
cutting one link from a length of chain (wastes links either side, net is half the number of links) provides a convenient loop to screw to walls, even outside concrete or bricks if using masonry screws - for tie-down points of guy-ropes, guy-wires, etc. Lays flatter if the longer half of the link is bent about 20 degrees in a vise...
